But in recent years, it has been showing a significant reduction in the growth rate of the annual premium, and it is even −0.16% in 2020 compared to 2019. To study the decisive factors affecting the purchase of PAI, the willingness to purchase PAI and its influencing factors have been investigated based on the data collected from the residents of Shanghai, one of the most developed cities in China. A questionnaire was conducted to collect the data and the chi-square test of independence and histograms have been used to perform analysis. Our results indicate that PAI coverage in Shanghai is about 33%. The unwillingness to purchase PAI has been mainly ascribed to the residents’ weak awareness of the PAI, due to either subjective reasons or objective reasons. Measures have been suggested to change the declining situation.","PeriodicalId":32924,"journal":{"name":"Research on Enterprise in Modern Economy Theory and Practice","volume":"423 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84931982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the missing data and the non-random characteristics of China’s investment in sample countries, the Heckman two-step model is adopted to solve the issue of self-selection bias, and policy impact of the “Belt and Road” initiative is introduced to explore the quality of economic governance of the countries along the route on China’s foreign direct investment. The findings show that, 1) China is more inclined to invest in host countries with a large market, and its investment preference is market-seeking; 2) the host-country labor freedom and financial freedom have a positive impact on Chinese direct investment, while trade freedom and investment freedom negatively affects Chinese investment; 3) the implementation of the “Belt and Road” initiative has affected the mechanism of host-country’s economic governance on China’s foreign direct investment.","PeriodicalId":32924,"journal":{"name":"Research on Enterprise in Modern Economy Theory and Practice","volume":"61 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78676149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A normal fiscal vulnerability range of 2 to 4 percent of GDP and a severe fiscal vulnerability range of 8 to 10 percent of GDP were identified. Results show few periods of severe fiscal vulnerability compared to normal fiscal vulnerability episodes from 1993 to 2017. The severe fiscal vulnerability was observed in two out of the 25 years. The normal fiscal vulnerability was observed for 11 out of the 25 periods. Lesotho’s fiscal policy was above the normal fiscal vulnerability threshold between 1992 and 2001 before returning to levels largely within the tolerable fiscal vulnerability level for the remainder of the 1993-2017 period.","PeriodicalId":32924,"journal":{"name":"Research on Enterprise in Modern Economy Theory and Practice","volume":"39 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90258339","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
