An integrated luminosity of 1000 fb−1 is assumed. The analysis includes a full study of signal and backgrounds at generator and detector simulation levels. We find that a Higgs-like resonance H with Standard Model HWW and Htt couplings will be observable in this channel (at the 5σ level) if its mass is in the range 2mt<mH<650 GeV. This implies a Higgs-top Yukawa coupling measurement in the same interval with a relative precision better than 10%.","PeriodicalId":325505,"journal":{"name":"Physics and experiments with future linear e+ e- colliders","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2001-09-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125407114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The observed track reconstruction performance is discussed. The Next Linear Collider (NLC) is being designed by a US collaboration (FNAL, LBNL, LLNL, and SLAC) which is working closely with the Japanese collaboration that is designing the Japanese Linear Collider (JLC). The NLC main linacs are based on normal conducting 11 GHz rf. This paper will discuss the technical difficulties encountered as well as the many changes that have been made to the NLC design over the last year. These changes include improvements to the X-band rf system as well as modifications to the injector and the beam delivery system. They are based on new conceptual solutions as well as results from the R&D programs which have exceeded initial specifications. The net effect has been to reduce the length of the collider from about 32 km to 25 km and to reduce the number of klystrons and modulators by a factor of two. Together these lead to s...","PeriodicalId":325505,"journal":{"name":"Physics and experiments with future linear e+ e- colliders","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2001-09-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121047560","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the framework of the ECFA/DESY linear collider study the BRAHMS program has been developed. Brient","doi":"10.1063/1.1394449","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1063/1.1394449","url":null,"abstract":"At the future linear collider, most of the interesting physics processes have many jets in the final state. For this reason, the design of the calorimeter has to be evaluated through the jets reconstruction (Eflow). In the calorimeter session, about half of the talks were related to Eflow, the second half concerning the hardware side of the studies. All groups agreed on the importance of quantifying the proposed detector through a reconstruction program of the multi-jet events. A first attempt to reconstruct with fully simulated events using the ECFA proposed detector, reached a jet energy resolution of ΔEJET∼40%EJET which seemed mandatory for the very rich physics program on the Linear Collider. It corresponds to a significant improvement when compared to LEP/SLD experiments. To reach this kind of value both ECFA and LCD(US) groups followed the road of sampling calorimeter, with a large number of segmentations and a small pad size. It is not the case of JLC-group which took the road of hardware compensat...","PeriodicalId":325505,"journal":{"name":"Physics and experiments with future linear e+ e- colliders","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2001-09-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131990613","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
