Focusing on the period between 2005 and 2020, when the field of social work expanded in universities in Turkey, this paper poses the questions related to what social work master’s theses’ numbers, subjects, methods, and cases are, as well as how they are changing. To this end, a total of 674 open access master’s theses completed in the departments of social work, social services, and social work policies and management were examined through their abstracts and full texts. The number of masters’ thesis in social work skyrocketed after 2016, in line with the escalating number of post-graduate programs in social work in Turkey. The findings of the study reveal that this quantitative increase does not bring along a qualitative improvement in knowledge production in social work. The majority of the examined theses do not meet the basic methodological requirements of scientific knowledge, such as the correct definition and explanation of the population and sampling techniques of the study. These theses are further limited to the national scale since they mostly focus on the central regions of Turkey, such as Ankara and Istanbul, and they are differentiated only by the micro contexts and the different subject matters they study. Thus, on one hand, knowledge production in social work at the master’s level has expanded while moving away from the foundations of scientific knowledge. The aim of this study is to investigate the mediating role of presenteeism in the effect on of job insecurity on employee performance. The sample consists of employees in the retail sector operating in Isparta province. A quantitative research method was chosen, and data were collected using a survey technique. The collected survey data was subjected to analysis via the utilization of the SPSS v.26 and AMOS v.24 software packages. The research was categorized as correlational in nature. For the purposes of this investigation, a simple random sampling method was elected for sample selection. At the conclusion of the study, it has been identified that job insecurity affects both employee performance and presenteeism. Additionally, it was determined that job insecurity in conjunction with presenteeism influences employee performance. However, it was found that “completing work” does not serve a mediating role in the impact of job insecurity on employee performance. Instead, it was discovered that “avoiding distraction” plays a full mediating role. Especially when the marriage age comes in emerging adulthood, women seem to come towards a place where there are several paths going on different routes. In this study, it is investigated whether women in emerging adulthood differentiate in terms of life goal setting and resilience according to the condition they are active in education and/or work life. A two-way MANOVA is used for analysis. The participant group is made up of women who are between the ages of 18-29 and who have experienced at least one stress-invoking life event. The findings show that the women in emerging adulthood do not significantly differentiate in terms of life goal setting and resilience according to the situation in which they are active, in education and/or work life. However, the scores show that the life goal setting scores of women that are active in both education and work life are higher than the other groups. Also, the women who are not active either in education or in work life have the highest resilience scores among the groups.
