The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of beach sand and HRS-WC mixture substituted with beach sand at Optimum Asphalt Content (OAC). The research begins with materials testing and manufacture of samples to obtain OAC. At OAC substitution of stone ash with 50% and 100% of beach sand was done based on volume on fine aggregate passing 2.36mm retained on 0.075mm. It was obtained that the characteristics of beach sand in general was not far different from natural sand, however. the angularity value of the beach sand was unfulfilled because the surface of the beach sand is extremely smooth. The characteristics of HRS-WC with beach sand substitution at 50% and 100% was obtained with marshall stability value of 2269,757kg and 2654,942kg; flow 1.062mm and 2.777mm; MQ 2156,120kg/mm and 957,308kg/mm; VIM 5.570% and 4.898% (close to minimum value); VMA 19.826% and 18.398%; VFB 71.908% and 73.375%. The marshall characteristics of the samples conditioned on STOA, LTOA 2 days and LTOA 5 days met the specification. The simple symmetrical house plan provides better structure to withstand earthquakes. Batu Kuning is a village located in Ulu Manna District, South Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province. This village is a village that was affected by the earthquake in 2000 and 2007, as well as other earthquakes, although the impact was not as big as the two earthquakes. In the event of the earthquake, several houses were not heavily damaged or destroyed so they are still inhabited today. Observations made by the author found a tendency for the shape of the house to be simple, symmetrical and tend to be rectangular. The research method was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents with a total of 26 samples. The results of the questionnaire were processed and analyzed using the SPSS Version 26 program, which included data validity and reliability tests. The results obtained showed 26.72% in strength and resilience factors, 25.63% in economic and cost factors, 25.63% in construction factors, and 22.02% in customs and environmental factors. The dominant factor is the construction factor, with an indicator that the construction of a rectangular house is easier to work on. The suitability level of old people's houses with the principle of earthquake-resistant houses shows that 73.08% uses a continuous river stone foundation with a depth of more than 45 cm. 92.31% of the old community house structure in Batu Kuning Village, Ulu Manna Subdistrict, using wooden columns and beams. The use of lightweight (zinc) roofs is in accordance with the principles of building earthquake-resistant houses.","PeriodicalId":32544,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Sipil","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42663918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, the results of the evaluation of the performance of the building structure that has been designed as a four-story apartment with an open frame system located in Malang, East Java. This building is designed with earthquake loads using response spectrum based on the Indonesian earthquake map. The structural performance analysis method was carried out referring to the Capacity Spectrum method (ATC-40) and the Modified Target Displacement method (FEMA 440). The results of the performance analysis based on the Capacity Spectrum approach and Modified Displacement Target both show the same level of performance, namely Immediate Occupancy (IO). However, the existing condition of the structure at the performance point or performance level there are several structural elements experiencing plastic hinges Collapse (C). This shows that the performance of the structure has not met the criteria for ATC-40 and FEMA 440. So, it is necessary to make improvements to the collapsing (C) structural elements so that the performance level is in accordance with the ATC-40 and FEMA 440 methods.","PeriodicalId":32544,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Sipil","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47499983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, coconut fibers were used as a substitute for synthetic cellulose fibers. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of the SMA mixture using coconut fiber. Material testing was carried out first on coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, filler, asphalt, and coconut fiber according to SNI procedures. After that, the Marshall testing was carried out to obtain the Optimum Asphalt Content (OAC). Furthermore, the test object was made back on OAC with 3 variations of coconut fiber content, namely 0.2%; 0.3%; 0.4% by weight of the total mixture. The OAC obtained was 7.25%, the optimum coconut fiber content was 0.3%, where the Marshall value was 1154.85 kg (˃600 kg), the remaining Marshall value was 96.57% (≥90%). Marshall's other characteristics have met the 2018 General Specifications 2018 of the Ministry of Public Works and Community housings. The value of Cantabro Abration Loss (CAL) is 2.1% (≤16%). The value of Indirect Tensile Strength (ITS) namely 110.22 kPa. The results of monitoring coastline changes at Pebuahan Beach during the period from 2004 to 2019 using remote sensing from the Landsat satellite show that the abrasion area is 145,549.32 m2. Abrasion that occurred at Pebuahan Beach is the impact of the Pengambengan Port which causes the sediment transport to be hampered. Various efforts have been made by the local community and the government to overcome the increasingly retreating coastline at Pebuahan Beach with environmentally friendly structures. However, the revetment and geotube structures in the form of sacks and geotextiles filled with sand have not been effective. For this reason, a hard structure is needed which is planned based on the characteristics of the Pebuahan beach. The breakwater made of dolos was chosen because it has better hydraulic stability. The results of the analysis show that the dimensions of the breakwater with dolos have a height of 4.74 m and a length of 115 m with a distance between breakwaters of 57.5 m. The width of the top of the building is planned to be 6.52 m with the weight of the first layer of stone being 0.5 tons, 1.19 m thick, the weight of the second layer of stone being 50 kg and 0.62 m thick, while the core layer stone is designed to be 2.5 kg.","PeriodicalId":32544,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Sipil","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47878401","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current climate change is also allegedly causing an increase in hydrometeorological disasters. The distinctive characteristic of the estuary is the confluence of river and sea flows, increasing the potential for hydrometeorological disasters. Therefore, it is necessary to mitigate hydrometeorological disasters in the Ayung River Estuary to reduce the negative impacts that can occur due to hydrometeorological conditions. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. Meteorological data obtained from satellite data is used to see the meteorological characteristics of the Ayung River Estuary. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that several hydrometeorological conditions in the Ayung River estuary area show potential hydrometeorological disasters, such as an increase in maximum wind speed reaching 1.5 times the average speed, an increase in temperature ranging from 6-8°C from the average temperature and conditions There is daily rainfall that reaches more than 100 mm/day.
