To reach this objective, we define a verification framework which verifies UML activity diagrams against some workflow requirements using NuSMV model checker. For this we propose an homomorphic transformation to realize a correct and complete mapping from UML activity diagrams to NuSMV language.","PeriodicalId":321308,"journal":{"name":"NOuvelles TEchnologies de la REpartition","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-08-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123339940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it is critical to continuously measure some environmental parameters, such as temperature, relative humidity, light and, also, pollutants, either in storage or exhibition rooms. The deployment of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) in a museum can help implementing these measurements continuously, in a real-time basis, and in a much easier and cheaper way than traditional procedures. This is the main objective of the WISE-MUSE project, which proposes a museum environmental and structural monitoring and automatic control using WSNs. Thus, in this paper, we describe the implementation and the main results of the WISE-MUSE platform validation in a contemporary art museum which is located in Madeira Island, Portugal. For this purpose, we have developed a new wireless sensor node and a Web-based visualisation tool which bring some considerable advantages when compared with other commercially available solutions.","PeriodicalId":321308,"journal":{"name":"NOuvelles TEchnologies de la REpartition","volume":"212 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-08-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133419102","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Endowed with typical hardware feature, especially with high energy level and good stockpiling capabilities, the base station completes the architecture as a required component for a wide range of applications. However, there are some projects where base station deployment should be avoided without reducing network efficiency. Thus, in a cold chain supervision project, itŠs not necessary to add base station to a wireless sensors network deployed inside a food or a medical truck. In this manner, it is a low-budget sensors network deployment. Moreover, such applications have to replicate data across all nodes and to maintain same information as well. In this paper, we propose databases updating model for homogeneous wireless sensors network deployed in a food truck without any base station. In this model, Virtual Base Station (VBS) is the node which is elected to act as classical base station during a specific period of time. Virtual Base Station (VBS) electionŠs algorithm is based on the remaining energy for each node and latest Virtual Bases Station (VBS) to reduce overall energy spent by network. Simulation results (using MATLAB) show that VBS model introduces very low overhead with respect to the classical network with permanent Base Station (BS).","PeriodicalId":321308,"journal":{"name":"NOuvelles TEchnologies de la REpartition","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123680156","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Indeed, those toolkits should include an assistant based on patterns and dedicated to driving the designer step by step through a well defined methodology. Thus, the TURTLE UML profile is extended with widely accepted service and protocol-oriented patterns. These patterns are built upon UML analysis diagrams i.e. use case, interaction overview and sequence diagrams. Moreover, all these patterns and diagrams have a formal semantics. Finally, they have been implemented in TTool, the open-source toolkit supporting TURTLE. The proposed approach remains general and may be applied to various modeling languages and use-case analysis driven processes.","PeriodicalId":321308,"journal":{"name":"NOuvelles TEchnologies de la REpartition","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131918273","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to data replication, Operational Transformation (OT) is considered as the efficient and safe method for consistency maintenance in the literature of collaborative editors. Indeed, it is aimed at ensuring copies convergence even though the users's updates are executed in any order on different copies. Unfortunately, existing OT algorithms often fail to achieve this objective. Moreover, these algorithms have limited scalability with the number of users as they use vector timestamps to enforce causality dependency. In this paper, we present a novel framework for managing collaborative editing work in a scalable and decentralized fashion. It may be deployed easily on P2P networks as it supports dynamic groups where users can leave and join at any time.","PeriodicalId":321308,"journal":{"name":"NOuvelles TEchnologies de la REpartition","volume":"24 14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124369054","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although they use different methods or correlation approaches, they all highlight the importance of time in their modeling process. In this paper, we suggest a new time consideration for our previous works Bayesian behavior intrusion detection. Using a probabilistic approach, we introduce time consideration in the profile of user/system interactions. This enriched profile will integrate all time dependencies among correlated alerts. Some works provide attack graphs scenarios where time dependencies are explicitly defined. In our case, they are learnt during a training period.","PeriodicalId":321308,"journal":{"name":"NOuvelles TEchnologies de la REpartition","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117089668","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we present a new peer-to-peer backup system implemented in the « DisPairSe » project and we concentrate on the security of such a system. Indeed, we provide mechanisms to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data stored in the P2P network while respecting the anonymity of users. We also propose a solution to encourage peers to contribute to the backup system, to banish the selfish behaviour of a few peers and to give access to authorized nodes only. These solutions are based on the definition of a third trust party in charge of controlling the rights and the behaviour of peers.","PeriodicalId":321308,"journal":{"name":"NOuvelles TEchnologies de la REpartition","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128424597","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Semantic Web Services (SWSs) promise to provide solutions to the challenges associated with automated discovery, dynamic composition, enactment, and other tasks associated with managing and using service-based systems. One of the barriers to a wider adoption of SWS technology is the lack of tools for creating SWS specifications. OWL-S is one of the major SWS description languages. This paper presents a model driven approach to facilitate the construction of OWL-S specifications. The methodology is divided into three main steps. In the first step we reverse engineered WSDL documents into UML profile models that enable the use of high-level graphical models as an integration platform for semantic web services. In the second step, suitable domain ontologies are used for the semantic annotation of the UML models. Finally, in the third step a conversion tool will generate automatically the OWL-S description from these UML models. The UML profile provides flexibility as it can expresses multiple semantic web service concepts.","PeriodicalId":321308,"journal":{"name":"NOuvelles TEchnologies de la REpartition","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121840251","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The W3C Web Services Architecture defines \"Web service as a software system designed to support interoperable machine-to-machine interaction over a network. It has an interface described in a machine processible format (specifically WSDL) and other systems can interact with it in a manner prescribed by its description using SOAP messages, typically conveyed using HTTP with an XML serialization in conjunction with other Web-related standards\". So, web-services constitute a distributed computing infrastructure made up of many different systems trying to communicate over the Internet to virtually form a single logical system. Web-services are an effective means for linking loosely coupled systems together using a technology that does not bind to a particular component model, programming language or platform. Used according to the semantic web principles, semantic web services offer key integration capabilities in businesses as well as in scientific research over the Internet and corporate intranets, and so are applicable to a broad variety of applications including e-Enterprise, e-Business, e-Government, and e-Science. Correspondingly, the construction and deployment of composite services by combining and reusing independently developed component services is an important capability in the emerging Web-based computing infrastructure. In this presentation we will focus on a detailed analysis of existing discovery reasoning mechanisms and the current key solutions for composition of component services. We will conclude with current roadblocks and pilot applications.","PeriodicalId":321308,"journal":{"name":"NOuvelles TEchnologies de la REpartition","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122517965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
