This study aimed to examine the correlation between academic stress and gratitude with student well-being. The approach used in this research is correlational quantitative. The research scale is given offline and online using a google form. Respondents in this study were 602 students of Madrasah Aliyah Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. The instruments used are the academic stress, gratitude and student well-being scale. The results of data analysis with multiple regression analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between academic stress and gratitude with student well-being (p-value < 0.001; r 0.655), meaning that the hypothesis is accepted, with the effective contribution of academic stress and gratitude simultaneously on student well-being by 42.9%. Academic stress were negatively and significantly associated with student well-being when the gratitude variable was controlled (p < 0.001; Beta -0.521), and gratitude were positively and significantly associated with student well-being when the academic stress variable was controlled (p < 0.001; Beta 0.302). Furthermore, in qualitative data, the researcher found that some students felt stressed with the workload from school because they did not understand the subject matter, communication with teachers was not fluent, anxious and sad, afraid to disappoint parents, and dizzy and frustrated in thinking about the subject matter. The researcher recommends that schools organize training that can reduce academic stress and increase student gratitude, so that student well-being can increase.","PeriodicalId":32088,"journal":{"name":"Psikis Jurnal Psikologi Islami","volume":"36 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90445316","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to determine whether Islamic personality and workplace spirituality had any direct effects on work-deviant behavior. Workplace spirituality was also put to the test as a mediator at the same time. Islamic personality was assessed using the Ummatic Personality Inventory (UPI), workplace spirituality was assessed using the Spirituality of Work Scale (SWS), and workplace deviant behavior was assessed using the Workplace Deviant Behavior Inventory (WDB). Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) were used to analyze data from N = 311 healthcare professionals working in an Islamic hospital in Palembang, South Sumatera, Indonesia. Workplace spirituality, according to the study's findings, acted as a mediator between Islamic personality and deviant behavior at work, having a negative indirect influence. In conclusion, workplace spirituality and Islamic personality were the most significant influences on deviant behavior. In addition, coaching programs to improve collaboration and group cohesiveness among healthcare professionals should be implemented, as well as corrective teamwork training, to guarantee high productivity.","PeriodicalId":32088,"journal":{"name":"Psikis Jurnal Psikologi Islami","volume":"28 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85514778","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, most of the student victims are unaware that they are getting sexual harassment, especially verbally. One form of verbal abuse is sexist humor. This study aimed to find about what makes sexist humor a form of sexual violence and what we can do to prevent and control it at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This study used a qualitative research method. In collecting the data, a quantitative method was used by distributing the questionnaires, and qualitatively, by conducting in-depth interviews. The theory used was the theory of Communication Privacy Management (CPM). The findings and results of this study concluded that this sexist humor will continue to occur if there is no prevention and proper handling on campus, mainly because there are no institutions that can act as bridges for students to report, consult and protect victims. Another thing that is also a concern is the lack of understanding and information about sexual violence, both verbally and non-verbally, among students.","PeriodicalId":32088,"journal":{"name":"Psikis Jurnal Psikologi Islami","volume":"93 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78065553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The kind of research in this paper is library research, using a qualitative-philosophical approach. The data were analyzed by using the Religious Cognitive Emotional Theory (RCET). This study found; first, physical healing efforts require realistic religious thinking to explain that the purpose and meaning of their life is very important, and keeping the body healthy is the most important teaching of religion. Second, the therapy process can be carried out by the therapists by directing clients into three main dimensions: psycho-religious, cognitive-religious, and spiritual-religious. The findings in this study contribute to increasing the treasures of thought in therapy disciplines in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.","PeriodicalId":32088,"journal":{"name":"Psikis Jurnal Psikologi Islami","volume":"16 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73946172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These impacts influence both physical and psychological health. This study aimed to conceptualize the elaboration of Sufism values with psychology to deal with Covid-19. The research was conducted with a literature review. This research showed that many values of Sufism play an essential role in dealing with Covid-19, for example seclusion is the essence of physical distancing to prevent individuals from worrying; zuhud, qana'ah, and tawakal attitudes prevent individuals from stress; meditative dhikr helps individuals turn irrational thoughts into rational ones; and imitating Sufism as a social movement can create an impact on the society so that they can face Covid-19 together. Thus, this study found that Sufism has a down-to-earth role, namely improving the mental health of individuals during the Covid-19 pandemic.","PeriodicalId":32088,"journal":{"name":"Psikis Jurnal Psikologi Islami","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77412778","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research method used in this research is qualitative research with a case study approach. This research was conducted by collecting observation data and interviews with the parents of the SDN 027962 Binjai students who are the sandwich generation according to the journal of M. Sahal. The selection of the study location was based on interviews from parents of students who complained about their positions as sandwich generation. The study was conducted on 3 parents of students. The data analysis technique was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicated that the application of Islamic parenting in the sandwich generation has been going quite well. The differences found in implementing Islamic parenting were based on differences in parents' economic conditions, which gave impact to the availability of time and understanding of religion by parents who became the sandwich generation. Parents who had low economic conditions tend to use practical parenting and rely on the involvement of experts (parents or teachers) to cover the lack of time that can be provided to care for their children. The study concluded that efforts to implement Islamic parenting based on M. Sahal’s journal such as al-Mukalatah or socialization, al-I’tiyad or habituation, al-Ta’allum or learning, internalization and integrity, and religious children can be applied to families experiencing the sandwich generation.","PeriodicalId":32088,"journal":{"name":"Psikis Jurnal Psikologi Islami","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74261873","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research was a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection technique was done by searching for sources of books and journal articles with the theme of mental health on Google Scholar and Scopus. The data analysis was carried out by collecting data, breaking them down into units, synthesizing, compiling patterns and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that cutting behavior is a form of human reaction that experiences problems, anxiety, or bad experiences from someone so that they feel guilty or disappointed with themselves. Cutting means clawing, cutting, or slashing limbs. Cutting behavior seen from the perspective of Islamic Psychology is an act that is forbidden because the impact can kill lives.
