Hal ini dipicu oleh ragam kompleksitas dari proses panjang pendidikan, mulai dari merumuskan sistem sampai kepada dinamika yang terjadi di lapangan. Keadaan ini menuntut banyak tokoh, ilmuan, dan bahkan praktisi pendidikan turut andil untuk menuangkan beragam ide demi kemajuan pendidikan. Dengan penelitian yang berbasis di Madrasah Diniyah Pondok Pesantren Annuqayah Latee, Sumenep, Madura, tulisan ini mencoba untuk membedah sistem pendidikan yang digunakan dengan kacamata pembuatan disiplin (the making of a discipline) David R. Olson. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua teknik, yaitu wawancara dan observasi. Wawancara digunakan untuk mendapatkan data primer tentang sistem pendidikan yang digunakan di madrasah diniyah. Sedangkan observasi untuk mendapatakan data skunder yang didukung dengan literatur-literatur memadai. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa the making of a discipline dari David R. Olson dalam hal sistem pembelajaran jauh lebih maju daripada madrasah diniyah. Namun di sisi lain, madrasah diniyah memiliki kebebasan untuk melangsungkan proses belajar mengajarnya, karena tidak terikat dengan aturan birokrasi kepemerintahan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan konsep pendidikan karakter maja labo dahu dalam kebudayaan Bima. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis konten. Sumber data penelitian yaitu Maja Labo Dahu yang merupakan budaya lokal masyarakat Bima. Dari analisis konten terhadap falsafat budaya tersebut diperoleh hasil bahwa nilai-nilai yang ada pada Maja Labo Dahu mengandung pendidikan karakter bagi masyarakat. Perlu ada suatu konsep yang komperehensif dalam pembelajaran tentang filosofi Maja Labo Dahu ini. Nilai- nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya yaitu ketaatan dan ketundukan kepada Tuhan serta rasa malu melakukan tindakan amoral. Maja Labo Dahu harus diwujudkan sebagai shcool culture, family culture, dan social culture. Trias pendidikan tersebut sebagai tempat konservasi kearifan lokal Maja Labo Dahu. CHARACTER EDUCATION VALUES IN “MAJA LABO DAHU” IN PEDAGOGY The era of globalization had changed the social and cultural life of local communities. Initially, people's lives were strongly tied to local values and wisdoms that lived in the community. These values had become guidliness of life. Maja Labo Dahu is the philosophy of the Bima culture, West Nusa Tenggara which teaches fear of God and shame of fellow humans. The purpose of this study was to describe the concept of character education for Maja Labo Dahu of Bima culture. This research used a qualitative descriptive method with content analysis approach. The data source is Maja Labu Dahu which is the local culture of the Bima community. From the content analysis of the culture philosophy, the results show that the values in Maja Labo Dahu contain character education for the community. There needs to be a comprehensive concept in learning about the philosophy of Maja Labo Dahu. The values contained in it are obedience and submission to God and shame to commit immoral acts. Maja Labo Dahu must be manifested as shcool culture, family culture, and socio-culture. Faktor hereditas dan lingkungan dipandang sebagai faktor yang mempengaruhi pro- ses pembentukan karakteristik setiap individu. Hereditas dipandang sebagai faktor bawaaan yang di turunkan dari orang tua pada anak baik fisik maupun psikis sejak masa konsepsi melalui gen-gen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih dalam faktor hereditas dan lingkungan dalam mem- bentuk karakter dengan titik fokus melihat pada faktor manakah yang lebih dominan dalam pemben- tukan karakter individu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan. Sumber data dalam peneli- tian ini berupa buku-buku, jurnal dan situs-situs dari internet yang memiliki kaitan dengan topik yang diteliti. Teknik pengumupan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu studi dokumen. Analisis data menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis). Berdasarkan hasil studi yang dilakukan, penulis menemu- kan bahwa faktor hereditas dalam diri individu dipandang mempengaruhi dalam perkembangan jas- mani seperti warna kulit, warna mata, jenis rambut, dan sebagainya. Beberapa bentuk kepribadian dan perilaku sosial dapat merujuk pada faktor lingkungan. HEREDITY AND ENVIRONMENT FACTORS IN BUILDING CHARACTERS Every human being is created with a variety of uniqueness with each characteristic. Here- dity and environmental factors are seen as factors that influence the process of forming the charac- teristics of each individual. Heredity is seen as a hereditary factor that is passed down from parents to children both physically and psychologically since the conception through genes. This study aims to examine more deeply the heredity and environmental factors in shaping character with a focus point to see which factors are more dominant in shaping individual characters. This research is a type of li- brary research. The data sources in this study are books, journals and websites from the internet that are related to the topic under the study. The data collection technique in this research is document stu- dy. The data analysis used content analysis. Based on the results of the study conducted, the authors found that heredity factors in individuals are seen as influencing physical development such as skin color, eye color, hair type, and so on. While some forms of personality and social behavior can refer to environmental factors. Aspek nonverbal dalam interaksi guru-siswa dan suasana kelas yang setiap warganya saling mendukung dan memotivasi dalam membentuk siswa berkarakter kuat belum mendapat penggantinya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk pendidikan karakter yang terkondisikan dengan tuturan direktif guru dalam pembelajaran di Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK). Metode penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data penelitian berujud tuturan direktif guru dalam pembelajaran yang mengondisikan penguatan pendidikan karakter siswa TK. Untuk pengumpulan datanya digunakan teknik rekam, teknik simak, dan teknik catat. Analisis datanya menggunakan langkah-langkah: mengidentifikasi tuturan guru yang merupakan tuturan direktif, mengidentifikasikan tuturan direktif yang mendorong penguatan pendidikan karakter, dan mengidentifikasikan penggunaan metode pendidikan karakter oleh guru. Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu bahwa tuturan direktif guru dalam pembelajaran di TK dapat menjadi sarana penguatan pendidikan karakter (1) cinta terhadap Tuhan Yang Maha Esa; (2) disiplin; (3) jujur; (3) mandiri; (4) kreatif; (5) kerja keras; (6) percaya diri; (7) toleransi dan cinta damai; dan (9) tanggung jawab. Metode pendidikan karakter yang diterapkan guru yaitu metode penanaman nilai, keteladanan nilai, dan keterampilan nilai. TEACHER'S DIRECTIVE SPEAKING IN LEARNING AS CHARACTER EDUCATION MEANSFace-to-face learning which has been replaced by online learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic has taught many things. The nonverbal aspects of teacher-student interaction and the class atmosphere where each people support each other with strong character have not been replaced. The purpose of this study is to describe the forms of character education conditioned by the directive speech of the teacher in learning in kindergarten. This research method is descriptive qualitative method. The data of this research were in the form of directive speech of the teacher in learning which conditions the strengthening of the character education of kindergarten children. The data collection used recording techniques, listening techniques, and note taking techniques. The data analysis used the following steps: identifying the teacher's speech which is directive speech, identifying directive speech that can encourage the strengthening of character education and identifying the use of character education methods by teachers. The conclusion of the study that the directive speech of teachers in kindergarten learning can be a means of strengthening character education (1) love for God Almighty, (2) discipline, (3) honest, (4) independent, (5) creative, (6) hard work, (7) self-confidence, (7) tolerance and peace-loving, and (9) responsibility. This research is an analysis of students' assignments on fieldwork. This fieldwork was an assignment of a course called Ilmu Kealaman Dasar (Basic Natural Science), Faculty of Bussiness, Chirstian Duta Wacana University. This course aimed to enable students to increase their understanding and concern for the natural environment. Lecturing with a teachercentered approach is believed to be unable to achieve the expected lecture goals. Therefore, this approach needs to change by implementing a participative learning strategy. The implementation of this strategy involves students' participation in some activities. Thus, students can comprehend more of the course materials and enthusiastic in their learning process. This work used a text analysis approach by examining the results of student reflections on the vegetable planting process in an organic farm. From the data analysis, it can be seen that there is an increase in students' awareness and concern for the natural environment after they do fieldwork and there are hopes to participate in its maintenance.MENINGKATKAN KESADARAN TERHADAP LINGKUNGAN MELALUI TUGAS LAPANGAN YANG PARTISIPATORIS Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemberian tugas lapangan bagi mahasiswa untuk peningkatan kesadarannya terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan analisis tugas lapangan mahasiswa. Kerja lapangan ini merupakaan tugas mata kuliah Ilmu Kealaman Dasar mahasiswa Fakultas Bisnis di Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana. Mata kuliah ini bertujuan agar mahasiswa dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan kepeduliannya terhadap lingkungan alam. Perkuliahan dengan pendekatan berpusat pada guru diyakini tidak dapat mencapai tujuan perkuliahan yang diharapkan. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan ini perlu diubah dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang partisipatif. Penerapan strategi ini melibatkan partisipasi mahasiswa dalam beberapa kegiatan. Dengan demikian mahasiswa dapat lebih memahami materi perkuliahan dan lebih antusias dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis teks berupa analisis Sarana Tanda dengan menelaah hasil refleksi mahasiswa tentang proses penanaman sayur di pertanian organik. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini berpedoman pada langkah yang dikembangkan oleh Sugiyono dan Borg & Gall dengan beberapa penyesuaian. Langkah-langkah pengembangan meliputi delapan langkah, yaitu: (1) pengumpulan informasi; (2) perencanaan; (3) rancangan produk; (4) validasi desain; (5) revisi desain; (6) pembuatan produk; (7) uji coba terbatas; dan (8) revisi produk. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku pengayaan pembelajaran menulis naskah drama bermuatan nilai karakter untuk siswa kelas VIII Sekolah Menengah Pertama diperlukan, baik oleh guru maupun siswa. Kompetensi dasar tentang sikap memuat nilai-nilai karakter dari program Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Kompetensi dasar tentang pengetahuan dikembangkan sampai tahap menganalisis dan mengevaluasi. Kompetensi dasar tentang keterampilan dikembangkan sampai tahap menyajikan produk kerangka dan naskah drama. Materi pembelajaran bersumber pada teks, gambar, dan audiovisual yang kontekstual. Tugas dalam buku pengayaan berbasis teks dan reflektif. Dengan muatan kompetensi dasar, materi, tugas, dan penilaian tersebut, produk buku pengayaan sudah layak dan dapat dipergunakan sebagai sumber pembelajaran untuk guru dan siswa di sekolah. THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENRICHMENT BOOK OF DRAMA SCRIPTS WRITING CONTAINING THE CHARACTERS VALUES FOR EIGHT GRADES OF JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS The purpose of this study was to develop the product in the form of an enrichment book for learning of drama scripts writing containing character values for eight graders of Junior Secondary School in Klaten region. The research and the development was based on the steps cultivated by Sugiyono and Borg & Gall with some adaptation. There were 8 steps: (1) gathering the information, (2) planning; (3) product planning; (4) design validation; (5) design revision; (6) production; (7) limited testing; and (8) product revision. Data collection usied interview, observation, and document study techniques. The result showed that the enrichment book for learning of drama scripts writing containing character values for eight graders of Junior Secondary School was needed by the teachers and students. The basic attitude competence containing the characters values mentioned in the Character Educations of Ministry of Education and Culture. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kombinasi yang menggabungkan antara penelitian kuantitatif dan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan data dengan menggunakan angket dan wawancara. Responden penelitian ini yaitu guru dan orang tua siswa dari tiga Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah, yaitu SD Muhammadiyah Bojonggede Provinsi Jawa Barat, SD Muhammadiyah 24 Rawamangun Provinsi DKI Jakarta, dan SD Muhammadiyah 12 Pamulang Provinsi Banten. Responden berjumlah 25 guru dan 141 orang tua. Angket menggunakan skala likert, dan data yang didapatkan dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan dilanjutkan dengan analisis kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa pada indikator pembimbingan karakter, sinergitas guru dan orang tua di tiga sekolah tersebut sudah berjalan baik. Keduanya telah bersama-sama memberikan pembimbingan karakter kepada anak. Sedangkan untuk indikator penilaian karakter dan menjalin komunikasi terdapat perbedaan pola sinergitas antara guru dan orang tua di ketiga sekolah tersebut. SYNERGY OF TEACHERS AND PARENTS IN INTEGRATION OF CHARACTER VALUES IN ONLINE LEARNING IN THE TIME OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC This study aimed to map the synergy pattern between teachers and parents in the integration of character values in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research used a mixed method that combined quantitative research and qualitative research. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and interviews. Respondents of this study were teachers and parents of students from three Muhammadiyah elementary schools, namely SD Muhammadiyah Bojonggede, West Java Province, SD Muhammadiyah 24 Rawamangun, DKI Jakarta Province, and SD Muhammadiyah 12 Pamulang Banten Province. The respondents were 25 teachers and 141 parents. The questionnaire used the Likert scale, and the data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive followed by qualitative analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was found that for the indicators of character guidance, the synergy of teachers and parents in the three schools had gone well, both of them had jointly provided character guidance to children. Studi ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif melalui kajian pustaka (liberary research) dengan sumber utama yaitu buku Wasiat Renungan Masa karya Maulana Syaikh TGKH. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Majid dan buku Pendidikan Karakter: Solusi Yang Tepat Untuk Membangun Bangsa karya Ratna Megawangi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan tahapan yaitu membaca, mencatat, menelaah, mengumpulkan konsep, kemudian dilakukan elaborasi. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa 48 bait Wasiat Renungan Masa yang secara eksplisit dan tersurat menasyrihkan konsepsi pemikiran, kaidah, amanat, dan harapan besar tentang Pendidikan Holistik Berbasis Karakter melalui sembilan pilar karakter dengan rincian yaitu Mencintai Tuhan dan ciptaan-Nya ditasyrihkan dalam 9 bait; Kemandirian dan Tanggung jawab dalam 7 bait; Kejujuran dan Amanah dalam 4 bait; Hormat dan Santun dalam 5 bait; Dermawan, Suka Tolong-Menolong, dan Gotong Royong dalam 5 bait; Percaya Diri dan Pekerja Keras dalam 4 bait; Kepemimpinan dan Keadilan dalam 4 bait; Baik dan Rendah Hati dalam 5 bait; Toleransi, Kedamaian, dan Kesatuan dalam 5 bait. Jadi, Tasyrih Wasiat Renungan Masa mengandung konsepsi pemikiran dan kaidah Pendidikan Holistik Berbasis Karakter. CHARACTER-BASED HOLIS TIC EDUCATION IN TASYRIH OF WASIAT RENUNGAN MASA OF TGKH. MUHAMMAD ZAINUDDIN ABDUL MAJIDThis study aims to explore the relevance of character-based holistic education values through the nine pillars of character with the norms of the Will of the Devotion. This study is a qualitative descriptive study through liberary research with the main sources, namely a book of Wasiat Renungan Masa by Syaikh TGKH. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Majid and the book of Character Education: The Right Solution for Building the Nation by Ratna Megawangi. The data analysis technique was carried out in stages, namely reading, taking notes, analyzing, collecting concepts, then elaborating. The results of the study show that 48 verses of the Wasiat Renungan Masa explicitly and expressly embody the conceptions of thoughts, rules, mandates, and high hopes about Character-Based Holistic Education through nine pillars of character with details, namely Loving God and His Creation is revealed in 9 stanzas; Independence and responsibility in 7 stanzas; Honesty and Trust are taught in 4 stanzas; Respect and courtesy in 5 stanzas; Generous, Helpful-Helpful, and Mutual Cooperation in 5 stanzas; Confidence and Hard Work in 4 stanzas; Leadership and Justice in 4 stanzas; Good and Humble in 5 stanzas; Tolerance, Peace, and Unity in 5 stanzas. Dengan kebijakan daring selama masa pandemi Covid-19, terjadi perubahan proses pendidikan karakter yang berbeda. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan penguatan pendidikan karakter tanggung jawab di Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah Ngabean I di Yogyakarta di masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus. Pengumpulan data pada penelitin ini dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan penguatan pendidikan karakter tanggung jawab di masa pandemi dilakukan dengan cara: (1) sekolah mengintegrasikan nilai karakter tanggung jawab ke dalam pembelajaran, dan juga dengan cara sekolah menerapkan protokol Kesehatan; (2) SD Muhammadiyah Ngabean 1 memfokuskan program penguatan pendidikan karakter pada nilai tanggung jawab dalam mengerjakan tugas masing-masing yang diberikan oleh guru; dan (3) sekolah berkerja sama dengan orang tua untuk melaksanakan pendidikan karakter tanggung jawab kepada siswa dalam pendampingan pembelajaran selama di rumah.STRENGTHENING THE RESPONSIBILITY CHARACTER EDUCATION OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN THE PANDEMIC ERA Character education is the beginning of efforts to form a character, which is the basis for being useful for himself and his surroundings. This policy, students experience changes and different habits, usually done in schools, is now changing in their respective homes. This research uses descriptive qualitative research design with descriptive case study research design. Data collection in this research is done by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. This research aims to describe the character strengthening program carried out by elementary schools in Yogyakarta. Pembelajaran dari rumah menjadi peluang besar bagi keluarga untuk memanfaatkan situasi ini sebagai sarana penguatan karakter anak. Penguatan karakter atau disebut juga pendidikan karakter merupakan hal yang sangat penting agar mencetak manusia yang terpuji, baik untuk dirinya maupun lingkungannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan situasi pandemi sebagai sarana penguatan karakter anak yang dilakukan oleh orang tua. Dengan metode kualitatif, melalui pendekatan grounded theory penelitian ini mengikutsertakan tiga partisipan yang dipilih secara acak (random sampling). Data dalam penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan menggunkakan pertanyaan terbuka. Sebelum dilakukan analisis data, terlebih dahulu dilakukan pengecekan keabsahan data menggunakan teknik member checking, yang dilanjutkan dengan analisis menggunakan teknik coding. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan ditemukan hasil bahwa situasi pandemi ini dapat menjadi sarana penguatan karakter anak. Hal ini dilakukan orang tua dengan cara menciptakan nilai mandiri, tanggung jawab, religius, gotong-royong, dan nasionalis menjadi momentum bagi keluarga untuk terlibat dalam pendidikan karakter dan membangun harmonisasi dengan anak, menjadikan anak belajar pola hidup bersih dan sehat, dan anak berkurang dari aktivitas lingkungan luar yang kurang bermanfaat. STRENGTHENING CHILDREN'S CHARACTER IN THE FAMILY IN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC SITUATION The Covid-19 pandemic situation requires people to be active from home, including the learning process. Learning from home is a great opportunity for families to take advantage of this situation as a means of strengthening children's characters. Strengthening character or also called character education is very important in order to produce commendable human beings, both for themselves and their environment. This study aims to explore the use of the pandemic situation as a means of strengthening children's characters by parents. With a qualitative method, through a grounded theory approach, this study included three participants who were selected at random (random sampling). The data were collected through interviews using open-ended questions. Prior to data analysis, the validity of the data was checked using the member checking technique, followed by analysis using coding techniques. From the research conducted, it was found that this pandemic situation can be a means of strengthening children's characters.
