The most dominant agricultural in the Batu City is the horticultural plants. In addition to horticultural plants, Batu City is also a producer of rice plant. But there are not many areas planted with rice plant in Batu City. In 2013, it was recorded by BPS that the area of paddy field cultivation in Batu City is 8,275,637 m2, in Batu sub-district is 1,226,352 m2, in Junrejo sub-district is 5,922,992 m2, and in Bumiaji sub-district is 1,126,293 m2. According to the results of the interviews from the Department of Agriculture and Forestry of Batu City, within one year, the land of rice plant is only planted with rice once or twice that should be done 3 times a year. It is because the farmers do not know the land is actually appropriate or not for rice plant. Department of Agriculture and Forestry of Batu City currently does not yet have data that related to the land is actually appropriate or not for planting rice. The data is required, so it can be used as a reference in managing agricultural land. To get the results of the land suitability, this study will apply the methods of GIS-MCDA (Multi Criteria Decision Analysis), which used 9 criterias (elevation, slope, rainfall, light intensity, temperature, air moisture, type of soil, soil pH, and river) that affect the suitability of the land and the result will be applied in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) based on the web. GIS based on the web (Web-GIS) is built according to the architectural design. Web-GIS architecture consists of 3 layers, i.e. the Client Layer, Service Layer, and Layer Support. With the creation of this Web-GIS, is expected to land suitability analysis result can be visualized better and can provide the information properly and clearly for users. Based on the result of land suitability analysis, this research get four results of land suitability class i.e., S1, S2, S3, and NS. Total area of suitability class of S1 is 739.42 ha with percentage 3.7%, total area of suitability class of S2 is 7375.91 ha with percentage 37%, total area of suitability class of S3 is 3706.20 ha with percentage 18.6%, and total area of suitability class of NS is 8120.02 ha with percentage 40.7%.","PeriodicalId":316247,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Geoinformatics (ISyG)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114530009","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The outline of the regulation essentially mention about flying drones are limited in some categories; prohibited area, restricted area, safety flight operations area, controlled airspace and uncontrolled airspace at an altitude of 500ft (150m) above. Due to the lack of information about the released regulation, many drone pilots operate their drones illegally. As a result, many cases occurred like drones get stuck in the rooftop, or drone crashes into airplane, and many other cases. Therefore one that will be able to resolve this issue is implementing Geographic Information System (GIS) technology. With GIS, all spatial issues can be analysed systematically and provide proper information and recommendation. Several methods in GIS concept, had been used to analyse spatial data. Spatial Multi-Criteria Evaluation (SMCE) is one of the methods to solve this issue. SMCE decompose the problem into smaller criteria and parameters hierarchically. In this research, criteria are taken from regulation by Ministry of Transportation. The result obtained from this implementation is geo-spatial data visualization and distinguished by colour as the result from aggregation many spatial data and suit with the criteria. The geo-visualization result will be exported to Android mobile phone so that drone pilots are able to use this application in everywhere and fly safe with its drone. This app will be ready to be downloaded from PlayStore in the near future.","PeriodicalId":316247,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Geoinformatics (ISyG)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129027748","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since decentralization of governance occurred in Indonesia, financial and human capacity for natural resource mapping, monitoring and modelling remains low in Regencial and Provincial governments. This presentation demonstrates new opportunities provided by the increasing availability of free satellite imagery, digital elevation data and open source spatial analysis software for local government and NGOs to conduct sophisticated natural resource mapping and modelling in a way that meets their needs and incorporates local knowledge. To improve the skills of natural resource managers, remote sensing, terrain analysis and GIS skills need to be taught in universities using free open source software. New Indonesian language training materials provide the missing link for training of local government officers (see sagagisindonesia.wordpress.com.) Reported are cases of local researchers trained in GIS and remote sensing applying free geospatial data and tools in eastern Indonesia with a particular focus on raster data applications for satellite image analysis and DEM terrain modelling.","PeriodicalId":316247,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Geoinformatics (ISyG)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127689440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data gotten from satellite imagery has been used to map the detail of urban environment. However, there is very limited scientific documentation on the identification procedure of living creatures in urban areas till date. This study describes the small scale geometric properties (i.e., human) based-on blending ultrahigh resolution optical and LIDAR data. We additionally illustrated how new remote detecting innovations can enhance our capacities to outline regions in ultra-high spatial and portioned detail. The result appears promising for detecting mobile living creatures. This study used only the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) to promote FOSS in urban remote sensing studies.","PeriodicalId":316247,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Symposium on Geoinformatics (ISyG)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123461481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
