This study tries to reveal the extent of the role of women in the process of managing oil palm plantations in Penawar Tama District, Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung Province. The study was conducted quantitatively on 121 female respondents with the status of: independent smallholders, family camps, casual daily laborers and employees of oil palm companies. The results showed that activities in the management of oil palm plantations were still dominated by men. The role of women in this case is only involved in the process of fertilization and leaf maintenance. The research objectives are to analyze the factors affecting capacity and independent learning of extension workers through e-learning and to build a strategy to increase the independent learning of extension workers through e-learning. The study was conducted in Cianjur and Bogor Districts, and in the learning area of ​​Universitas Terbuka 2019. Respondents are 96 extension workers who take studying at UT in 2019 through census techniques, and 160 extension workers in Bogor and Cianjur Districts who were assigned cluster random sampling. The results show that the dominant factors affecting the capacity and the independent learning of extension workers through e-learning are: the level of ICT utilization and environmental factors. There was a social reality that roles and functions of husbands and wives in many communities had shifted, especially of WHF Group members in Batang District, Central Java Province. The crucial condition causing the mentioned shifting was economic factors. Formerly, wives were only supporting bread winners, however, because of family economic needs, women switched their roles into breadwinners. Wives also took action as dominant decision makers in their households, although society had not fully recognized woman’s participation in development communication as head of family. The newest finding in this research was that married women, whose husbands had been fired, had already been included into WHF Program. There was 45 percent of WHF Group members, who still got married to husbands with no permanent jobs, and 15 percent belonged to those whose husbands had got fired, and five percent was jobless. In addition, it also aims to describe the characteristics of Wakif respondents. The method used to process the data is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)-PLS version 3.0. Data was obtained by distributing online questionnaires to Wakif Dompet Dhuafa Republika. The results showed that the character of the respondents in this study was dominated by male respondents, with an age range of 20-50 years, had an undergraduate education background (S1/S2/S3), dominated by private employees, and the average income was in the range of Rp. 3 million to Rp. 6 million. This study also shows that income has a positive and significant effect on the attitude of waqf for waqf and the credibility of the institution also has a positive and significant effect on the decision of waqf for productive waqf. This study aims: (1) to analyze perception of farmer group members about the role of the group in the development of horticultural farming and the factors that influence; (2) to analyze participation of group members in the development of horticultural farming and the factors that influence; and (3) developing strategies to increase group member participation. This study used a survey method and was conducted from February to April 2021 in Pacet District, Cianjur Regency, West Java Province. The samples this study were 100 people. The analysis method used was descriptive and inferential statistics (Path Analysis) equipped with qualitative data. This study aims to: 1) analyze farmers perceptions of the competence of agricultural instructors, 2) analyze the relationship between farmer characteristics and extension activities with the level of farmers perceptions of agricultural instructor competencies based on the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture No: 55/Permentan/KP. 120/7/2007. This study used a survey method with a total of 39 respondents. The results of descriptive and inferential analysis found that farmers had low perceptions of the competency level of agricultural extension workers. Extension workers are considered not optimal in carrying out their roles according to their duties and responsibilities. The factors that significantly influence the level of farmers perceptions of the competence of agricultural extension workers are the involvement, intensity and interaction of farmers in extension activities. Petani milenial dianggap mampu menjembatani antara petani muda dengan petani yang telah lama berusahatani. Namun kecenderungan di lapangan belum terlihat karakter yang spesifik dimiliki oleh petani milenial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penciri utama petani milenial dan menganalisis faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap pembentukan karakter petani milenial. Penelitian menggunakan desain survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling, diperoleh 63 responden yang mewakili petani milenial pada zona sentra padi di tiga kabupaten (Subang, Karawang, dan Cirebon) di Jawa Barat. Pengolahan data menggunakan teknik deskriptif dan Partial Least Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan karakter petani milenial memiliki ciri individu umumnya dengan tingkat pendidikan yang relatif tinggi dan memiliki pengalaman berusahatani yang cukup baik. Kompetensi teknis petani milenial yang menonjol ada pada kemampuan dalam pemilihan komoditas berdasarkan kalendar tanam, permintaan pasar, kesuburan lahan dan tipologi lahan, sedangkan kompetensi manajerial yang kurang dari petani milenial adalah dalam hal kemampuan mengelola konflik yang dapat terjadi dalam pengembangan usahanya, sementara kompetensi sosial sebagai kekuatan modal sosial petani milenial masih lemah. Referring to the situation and problems faced by partners, our group took the initiative to contribute by providing several alternative solutions whose goals are expected to be useful for partners, by providing training on the implementation of integrated networks and MSME database management, then providing an integrated marketing communication training, workshop on communication marketing tools that can provide a competitive advantage for MSMEs so that MSME marketing tools in Buah Batu District have superior value. With some of the solutions that we offer, the expected final results from this community service activity are network problems and database management can be resolved properly. Respondents are members of rubber farmers.
