The model was originally proposed for computer networks, however it has its potential performance and security advantages for cyber-physical systems, which was stated in earlier works. The details of the model adaptation to a group of mobile robotic devices are discussed. In our study, we follow multi-agent approach, which allows to represent system as a set of different distributed agents. To evaluate the Police Office Model adaptation effect, we conduct an empirical study using custom software simulation environment. As performance metrics, the time to perform task assigned to the agents, and the number of tasks performed over one iteration were used. During the simulation, some agents were malicious – i.e. provided incorrect data in the agents’ intercommunication. The empirical study results demonstrated that Police Office Model implementation allows to increase both metrics in all simulated mobile robotic systems scenarios. on of the documentation of their work.","PeriodicalId":315315,"journal":{"name":"The 5th International Conference on Future Networks & Distributed Systems","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114573384","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this article, we proposed a hybrid model based on Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (EEMD) and Bidirectional Long Short-Term memory (Bi-LSTM). The original time series of load demand was decomposed into several sub-series called Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs) using the EEMD method. Then each IMF was divided into training, validation and testing datasets, and predicted using Bi-LSTM. Finally, the forecasting of the load demand would be obtained by composing the predictions of all IMFs. This model was applied to forecast the electrical demand in Hanoi using the data in 2018. The data was first decomposed based on Seasonal-Trend decomposition using the LOESS (STL) method to find down if there was a seasonal characteristic or not. Then 2 cases were analyzed, forecasting the load with and without considering the seasons. The performance of the proposed model in both cases were compared with other traditional models. The results showed that the proposed approach outperformed the other methods with minimal mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of just over 2% when considering the whole year data as one time series. Meanwhile, the results of the seasonal division are slightly better in 3 seasons and more biased in the summer due to more variability.","PeriodicalId":315315,"journal":{"name":"The 5th International Conference on Future Networks & Distributed Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116307074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The characteristics of this virus, such as high transmission power and lack of definitive treatment have caused problems in all aspects of organizational economics. Restrictions that were imposed to deal with the virus affected the global economy. Fear of being exposed to the virus, quarantine and lockdown led to a massive increase in online shopping. However, people’s concern about the health and authenticity of the products offered online and their incompatibility with consumer standards raised concerns about the reliability of the existing e-commerce models. Fraud, counterfeit products, ethical sourcing and product safety are some of the concerns that affected online business acceptance. To address these challenges, we examine the use of a blockchain-based e-commerce approach to guarantee authenticity through blockchains trace and trace capabilities. In this approach, we evaluate the profit gains achieved through addressing consumer concerns on safety and authenticity. To examine these benefits, we use a game theory leader-follower approach. We evaluate the profitability of e-commerce in three scenarios, including when non of seller and e-commerce website use blockchain, only when the seller uses the blockchain and when both the seller and the e-commerce websites use blockchain. The evaluation results show that the situation in which both the seller and the website use blockchain has the highest profitability for the seller due to the maximum reduction of customer concerns.","PeriodicalId":315315,"journal":{"name":"The 5th International Conference on Future Networks & Distributed Systems","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124549252","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Smart Sensor System (3-S) is more cost-efficient and secured system. This system is introduced to reduce to use of IoT. Intelligence is fed to the sensors and the system to make decisions on its own and reduce the IoT cloud lag. The 3-S system mainly helps in saving electricity which is wasted in large quantities, in a most cost-efficient method. There are systems available automate the appliance but the cost of the systems is way higher, which the systems use microcontrollers and microprocessors that increase the cost of the system. The 3-S system mainly uses Infra-Red rays to detect and switch the circuit to on, when not detected switches the 555 Timer IC to create a delay and check for the person for a certain amount of time and switches the circuit off. The 3-S system saves the wasted energy and automates appliances with 99% accuracy in the simulation and a little less in real life scenario. This cost of the 3-S is achieved in less than 5$ and the system is very reliable. This automation schema will be useful to larger enterprises/power plants where there is difficulty in detailed monitoring of electrical wastage.","PeriodicalId":315315,"journal":{"name":"The 5th International Conference on Future Networks & Distributed Systems","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124905565","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Patients often lose their data and medical history if they must move between hospitals. In these cases, other health care providers must repeat some procedures, such as analyses and x-rays. An approach that focuses on securely managing and sharing patient health records is thus required. As traditional centralised systems in hospitals do not meet the requirements for such an approach, this calls for the implementation of a secure structure that is capable of protecting patient data. One potential solution is the use of decentralised personal health records in a system that would allow the patient to own, manage and access their own data. This can be achieved by using the type of blockchain technology that would permit patients to identify shareable information and grant or prevent providers and other entities from accessing their data. Utilising the methodology of design science, this research will propose a solution for personal health records management by identifying the necessary requirements, and advantages and disadvantages of such a system. The study will propose a solution that will allow the patients to own, control, and benefit from their data.","PeriodicalId":315315,"journal":{"name":"The 5th International Conference on Future Networks & Distributed Systems","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122871308","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
