Metal coatings are starting to be widely used as a way to prevent metals from corroding. In addition to preventing corrosion, metal coatings have been developed to thicken metals, increase hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. Characterization of the materials used using SEM, and XRD. The SEM characterization results show a crystal shape similar to a pyramid. PVA/Fe 3 O 4 nanofibers are composite materials contain magnetic materials in nanometer-sized fibers that have biocompatible, non-toxic, and high chemical stability properties. Fe 3 O 4 will be composited with Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) and formed into nanofibers. The purpose of this study was to analize the effect of variations in volume % concentration of Fe 3 O 4 used on PVA/Fe 3 O 4 nanofibers. Fe 3 O 4 was dissolved in dionized water using ultrasonication. The suspension Fe 3 O 4 solution was mixed with 10% PVA solution to form PVA/Fe 3 O 4 solution with Fe 3 O 4 variations of 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. Electrospinning process was carried out on PVA/Fe 3 O 4 solution with a voltage of 20 kV, flow rate of 5 ml/hour, distance of jet to collector is 15 cm.
