This variety of choices presents risks of retrieving non oriented services while responding to subscriber request. This may be due to similarities between services and to the huge amount of available services. In addition to service information, it is possible to extract and explore subscriber information in IMS network. Thus, it becomes interesting to consider, besides of request details, subscriber profile information in service discovery process. This paper presents an overview of our model and its mechanism based upon IMS architecture which provides service discovery combined with proactive service exposure to better respond to subscribers' needs and expectations. The results show improvement of usual state of the art models on several axes.","PeriodicalId":314139,"journal":{"name":"2015 5th International Conference on Communications and Networking (COMNET)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131109809","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main contribution is twofold: (i) the capacity-energy region of the memoryless Gaussian multiple access channel is fully characterized; and (ii) the maximum sum-rate that can be achieved when a minimum energy level is required at the input of the receiver is determined. In particular, it is shown that the sum-capacity for a given energy threshold can be achieved by a simple power-splitting scheme.","PeriodicalId":314139,"journal":{"name":"2015 5th International Conference on Communications and Networking (COMNET)","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116454094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For that reason, several studies have been carried out to define the best approaches to route IP flows from LTE through Wi-Fi. In this paper, we investigate the IP flows handover problem from an LTE-A network to a Wireless Mesh network (WMN) owned by the operator. We propose a new handover decision algorithm hosted in the Packed Data Network Gateway (P-GW). It depends on the radio link contention, End to End delay and the traffic type. Simulation shows significant gain as the percentage of flows derived through the WMN reaches 100% for the first scenario and exceed 47% for the second one, which leads to decrease LTE-network congestion and allows the operator to deliver real time and non-real time services with a low cost solution.","PeriodicalId":314139,"journal":{"name":"2015 5th International Conference on Communications and Networking (COMNET)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114298507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it is essential to understand and capture the relation between stream and elastic traffic behavior. In this paper we focus on developing simple yet effective approximations to capture this relationship. We study, then, an analytical model to evaluate the performance of elastic traffic under Diffserv architecture. This model is based on the fluid flow approximation. We assume that Diffserv architecture gives the head of priority to real time traffic and shares the remaining capacity between the elastic ongoing flows according to a specific weight.","PeriodicalId":314139,"journal":{"name":"2015 5th International Conference on Communications and Networking (COMNET)","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114534520","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This results in the Fifth Generation (5G) which is expected to meet a manifoldness of wireless communication services [1-2]. However, this mobility can dramatically damage the waveforms orthogonality that is induced in transmission schemes like the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems, which is the main transmission scheme that 4G systems are built on. The deterioration of the waveforms orthogonality in OFDM signals will result in oppressive Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI) and Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI), which leads to significant performance degradation in OFDM systems. In this context, a dynamic waveform construction referred as Ping-pong Optimized Pulse Shaping-OFDM (POPS-OFDM) [3-5] presents an attractive candidate for the physical layer of 5G systems. This innovative approach banks on a non-orthogonal future wireless multi-carrier scheme with a malleable waveform, which would represent an interesting solution that potentially reduces the ISI and ICI and also minimizes the energy spreading. In this paper, we go further by analyzing POPS-OFDM performance when the Tx/Rx waveform support durations are different. This aspect is motivated by the sense to reduce the user equipment's complexity (Tx side) since the mobile phone is limited in terms of power and computation. Simulation results are provided to show that the POPS-OFDM characteristics make this waveform a powerful candidate for 5G systems.","PeriodicalId":314139,"journal":{"name":"2015 5th International Conference on Communications and Networking (COMNET)","volume":"208 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122333650","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The studied technique exploits a preamble of two identical parts and splits the synchronization processing into two stages: a first auto-correlation based coarse stage and a second differential correlation based fine stage. The coarse synchronization aims to roughly localize the preamble position by auto-correlating the received signal using a correlation shift equal to the preamble sub-sequence length. The calculated metric exhibits a plateau that results in an uncertainty in the time detection accuracy. In the second stage and to mitigate the plateau effect, differential correlation is performed using a correlation shift different from the preamble sub-sequence length. The calculated metric provides high sharp peak that results in a very accurate detection. The fine stage is processed over a short interval centered on the coarse time estimate, which reduces the computational load of differential correlation operations. The repetitive structure of the preamble proposed in the IEEE 802.11n standard allows the application of the RC technique on it, using either the first legacy short preamble part or the second legacy long preamble part. Moreover, by choosing a correlation shift equal to the delay used to implement the Cyclic Delay Diversity (CDD) scheme, the RC technique allows to overcome the pseudo-path problem caused by the CDD. As a byproduct, the fractional part of the frequency offset is also estimated through the evaluation of the timing metric at the fine estimate. Simulation results show that, when applied to the IEEE 802.11n signal, the RC synchronization technique provides high detection accuracy that outperforms the considered benchmark.","PeriodicalId":314139,"journal":{"name":"2015 5th International Conference on Communications and Networking (COMNET)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130801588","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As exposed in the paper, TR can be viewed as a particular spatial filtering scheme with some strong commonalities with more conventional beamforming strategies used in large-scale antenna systems (LSAS). Our goal is to compare the behavior and the performance of the TR-based beamforming with that of the well-known Maximum Ratio Transmission (MRT). Therefore, we develop a generic system model for TR-based beamforming systems. Then we lead a theoretical performance analysis relying on ergodic capacity computations and based on statistical models of the equivalent channels obtained with both RT and MRT precoding schemes.","PeriodicalId":314139,"journal":{"name":"2015 5th International Conference on Communications and Networking (COMNET)","volume":"167 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129328090","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aforementioned result characterizes the achievable payoffs for an N-Agent (transmitters in our application) coordination problem with a certain information structure. We then provide an algorithm which exploits the characterization of achievable payoffs by conditional probability distributions to find optimal decision functions for the transmitters. Due to its general nature, the developed framework is conducive for applications to diverse scenarios in wireless communications. In this article, we restrict our attention to the case of decentralized power control in interference channels for different utility functions namely sum-rate, sum-energy and sum-goodput. Our approach has the following salient features: 1) The method proposes optimal power control functions for any given utility function as opposed to ad-hoc solutions for different utilities proposed in the literature, and 2) Noise in the channel estimation is taken into account, thus providing robust optimal solutions.","PeriodicalId":314139,"journal":{"name":"2015 5th International Conference on Communications and Networking (COMNET)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126712174","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
