The increased level of sports performance in rhythmic gymnastics due to fiercer and better and better organised competitions is obvious for any critic. National and international sports bodies and public opinion stimulated by media coverage eager for sensational have created an obsession with the prioritisation of values. Obtaining exceptional results, medals, points and titles, with all the deriving moral effects of pride but especially related to material aspects, is of interest to both athletes and the countries represented by sports delegations in official international competitions. Competition analysis provides highly valuable information on the level reached in terms of qualitative and quantitative gains and the impact of regulations on a team’s performance at a certain time in relation to the ideal model imposed by the requirements of the FIG Code of Points. Romania’s position in the team ranking for the group event in two major competitions generated a number of questions that formed the core of the current study. In this context, we aimed to perform an objective\u0000analysis of the way in which coaches approached the compositional criterion in designing the competition routines and identify possibly strategic elements that made the difference in team ranking. The study was conducted on the first 8 junior teams ranked at the 2019 European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships (Baku) and the 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior World Championships (Moscow). Video analysis allowed us to identify the vectors that directly or indirectly influenced the mechanisms involved in the creation of compositions for the group event.

In this paper, we aim to complement the experience acquired so far in pandemic times by addressing the current problem of football from certain specific directions, in the conditions of COVID-19 infection. This study used some models (SIR, SEIR and SIRD) that tried to determine the evolution of the pandemic on the basis of a few defining aspects. In a championship involving 20 teams and 38 stages, an\u0000officially registered squad for each team can consist of 34 players (30 field players and 4 goalkeepers), and competition organization in the form of a tournament can include: 14 days competition period + 7 days break => 4 games scheduled every 3 or 4 days; 10 x 14-day modules with 9 x 7-day recovery modules will be required for the competition. The current context is completely new and, in order to train and play during the pandemic, we need to consider the following aspects: the competition system of national football leagues should take the form of the model proposed by us, promoting young players from the academy; the competitions of the national team should take place in the form of tournaments; the referees’ activity should be reorganized in relation to the competition system.

The aim of this study was to investigate the motivations of Romanian Masters athletes to train for endurance running in order to participate in half-marathon competitions. The research method used was the survey. This tool consisted of a questionnaire that was purposely developed for the present research. Out of the\u0000111 experienced respondents practising running for 13 years on average, 61.8% are men and 38.2% are women. The results are different and are mainly focused on reaching a state of well-being (67%) for both men (67.2%) and women (66.7%); there are significant differences between the 35-44 and 55+ age categories (t = 2.776, p < 0.01). This motivation has contributed to maintaining and improving physical performance with aging. Women are more motivated than men to run for health benefits. In conclusion, we believe that paying attention tomotivation is important in terms of encouraging people of all ages to play outdoor sports, promoting a healthy lifestyle based on exercise and managing grassroots sport. The Masters athlete is a rich source of information\u0000regarding a person’s ability to maintain maximum physical performance and physiological function as they get older. The impressive capacity for physical performance and physiological functioning makes Masters athletes a model for society.

In this difficult pandemic period, the imminent changes have mainly affected physical activity and particularly physical education lessons at all education levels. This is a reality for both urban and rural schools. While the transmission of information through the online environment is done without too many obstacles in other\u0000purely theoretical teaching activities, in physical education, the transmission and acquisition of knowledge but especially evaluation have been and are still affected. In this paper, we aimed to identify the main constraints in conducting online physical education lessons from the subjective point of view of students, parents and teachers.\u0000We also set out to make a comparison between the views of urban and rural actors. The assessed period was from March to December 2020, when the activity took place only online due to the “red code”. The survey was carried out between December 7-18, the last school week of the year. The conclusion showed that parents, teachers and\u0000students had different opinions on the main difficulties encountered during this period. Students’responses mainly highlighted their poor knowledge of using educational platforms, inappropriate space for practical activities and lack of connection devices. Parents’ responses focused on both their impossibility of supervising children and\u0000reduced possibilities of supporting them due to lack of knowledge or time. From the perspective of teachers, we identified their impossibility of actively monitoring students’ health and problems related to the verification of compliance with labour protection rules during practice.

At international and national levels, there is a decline in physical activity because technology has become increasingly present in each person’s life, as evidenced by the growing interest in new developments in the field. We believe that giving up exercise will lead to increased indicators of growth and development but\u0000also to the emergence of health problems. The current paper aims to determine the body mass index (BMI) of students from two universities, one with a sports profile - National University of Physical Education and Sport, and the other, a non-sports profile higher education establishment - National University of Arts, by performing\u0000anthropometric measurements such as height and weight. The purpose of this study is to place students in the category corresponding to their body mass index and determine their risk of disease. This experimental research includes 323 first-year students from the two aforementioned universities in Bucharest. The research\u0000methods used are: literature review, anthropometric measurements, mathematical and statistical method, graphical method. Analysis of the collected data reveals differences between the students of the two universities. After interpreting the anthropometric data and calculating the body mass index, the study participants were included in the category corresponding to their risk of disease.

In an increasingly advanced technological society, no one is surprised by the use of the fastest means of multimedia communication. Implementing this technology in the field of top-level sport offers multiple possibilities for an objective behavioural analysis of athletes during competition. This study, the first to address juniors aged 17-20 years, is part of a broader research aimed at investigating athletes (of both genders and different classes) with regard to certain moments that involve the analysis of concentration times characterising weightlifting styles. The current study focuses on the recording and analysis of concentration times from the moment the feet are just under the bar until the bar is lifted off. Objectives: 1. To examine the possibilities of using the computerised imaging technique in snatch weightlifting; 2. To identify concentration times in snatch weightlifting by recordings and measurements performed with AviSynth equipment. The main research method used is computerised technology connected to video technology. The research presents the recording and analysis of concentration times for snatch weightlifters in value group A, 109-kg Junior Class. It includes 11 male athletes aged 17-20 from various countries. Thus, Bulgaria participated with two athletes, and Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Poland, Russia, Spain and Turkey, with one athlete each. The result analysis highlights aspects regarding concentration times in the snatch event: average concentration times for the three attempts and for each attempt, the relationship between lifted weight and concentration time.

Interconnection and interaction through communication are concomitantly achieved, generating an eminently psychosocial process as the prerogative of both those with reputation and the\u0000initiated audience. Concomitance appears as nonverbal motor ease resulting from professional and social skills, sport being a fertile ground for its manifestation. It is desired and appreciated by both athletes in the arena and the public that participates in formative or competitive events, regardless of the branch of sport. The factors with an impact on the range of concomitance are cognitive, affective and social in nature, representing indicative landmarks for managers in forming and leading sports teams. Performance is the criterion for team assessment. A particular form of concomitance arises between the partners playing in doubles teams or those constraint by regulations to play in other teams of up to eight people. The affinity between members is highlighted by the reflexively applied and perfectly coordinated choreography. Any high-value performance is achieved through concomitance, which involves suffering and pain that are endured with stoicism and joy (As a form of masochism?). It is the art of suffering, which reveals what is beautiful and good. The sublimity of the performance\u0000is concomitantly experienced with great intensity by both athletes and spectators.

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle manual method of assessing and treating the functioning of the Craniosacral system, which consists of membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord. The Craniosacral system is closely related to the whole body꞉ any\u0000disorder or imbalance can affect organs, muscles and bones as well as the nervous, circulatory or endocrine systems. Through Craniosacral therapy, these imbalances can be felt/palpated and rectified by very gentle manipulations on the skull or sacrum bone. The beneficial influence of Craniosacral therapy can be clearly determined especially in the case of disorders of the central nervous system. Craniosacral therapy improves the\u0000general condition of the body, reduces stress and tension and enhances vital functions, thus increasing the quality of life of patients. The main objectives of this paper refer to the optimisation of Craniosacral therapy and the holistic approach to human personality. The current research is based on elements of novelty that have not been validated so far in the Romanian literature: it detects the possibilities of exploiting the improvement of the treatment applied to people with cervical pain.

The purpose of this training is to enhance subsequent performance under normal visual conditions as a result of shifting attentional focus within the multisensory integration process. The training performed with the help of this technology that uses specially designed glasses\u0000increases the contribution of other somatosensory afferents to motor control by refocusing the individual’s attention on proprioceptive feedback. Other benefits of stroboscopic training include improved short-term visual memory, improved capacity for anticipation as well as increased ability to focus in general but particularly on the central visual field and thus produce coherent movements. The current paper is a metaanalysis of the literature on stroboscopic training and its benefits for professional sport. In sports using stroboscopic (strobe) glasses, for example in hockey, basketball, football, volleyball, baseball or tennis, positive effects on some skills have been identified and training and testing protocols have been described. The aim of this paper is to highlight some practical and methodological benchmarks resulting from the use of stroboscopic training in various sports, and then transfer them to climbing training in order to enhance performance in this sport.

The difference between an attentive player and a distracted player can destabilise the whole team and can coincide with unwanted results. The current research was born from the desire to require from players something they can achieve, in other words, in vain does the coach ask them to be focused if they have not been\u0000taught how to do this or ask them to be vigilant if their attention has never been trained. In order to reach optimal performance, it is primordial for athletes to maintain their attention throughout the game and, if they manage to focus only on the essential information and avoid disrupting factors, they have a good chance to attain peak performance. In this research, we tracked the attentional level of football players, who were initially assessed to determine the exact values, then we intervened with specific exercises for the development of attention, and at the end, we re-assessed attention to see the differences and whether the proposed programme was effective. The research results showed a significant improvement in attentional levels which could increase\u0000the sports performance of football players, who managed to progress from pre-test to post-test.
