The application of heat to the coffee bean requires a precise temperature controller, and traditional PID controllers have been frequently utilized in recent years, which present a challenge due to the process's non-linear nature. The implementation of a Self-Tuned Fuzzy PID controller to control temperature was proposed in this study, and the performance in real-time was compared to a conventional PID controller as a benchmark. Several evaluation criteria were chosen, including the controller's capacity to produce a desired setpoint without steady-state error, its ability to keep up with temperature setpoint changes during the process, and its resilience to disturbance. During the step test, the proposed controller improved percent overshoot and settling time by 88.10% and 61.98%, respectively. Meanwhile, during the setpoint change test, the overshoot was reduced by more than 80%, and the settling time was reduced by more than 20%. Furthermore, the proposed controller was able to stabilize the output during the disturbance test within 70 s, as opposed to the PID controller, which showed continuous temperature fluctuations because of the disturbance.","PeriodicalId":313365,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Electrical & Electronic Systems Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114956332","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It indicates the importance of analysing robot design before a prototype can be built for real motion. A new robotic arm that was designed to imitate a human upper arm has four joints which rotate around x, y, and z-axis to move its four links to the required posture of the wrist. The work demonstrates the use of a design software to confirms feasibility of the joints for motion and finite element analysis (FEA) to predict the behaviour of the structure when under force. FEA results showed that most of the links have experienced lower stress levels than of the tensile yield strength of alloy steel material which proved the strength of the structure to sustain the applied 15Nm stress test. Hence, with minor adjustments to match with the size of the existing robot hand, the design is ready for fabrication process in the next study.","PeriodicalId":313365,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Electrical & Electronic Systems Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127666044","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Single structure of pristine ZnO suffers in several pitfalls that severely limit the development of zinc oxide as humidity sensors, leading to unfavorable sensor performance. On the other hand, composites demonstrate elevated effects between closely packed surfaces, outperforming single structures. Surface modification effects emerge as a result of the intensification of nanostructures with active surface sensing sites, resulting in an improvement of surface-related properties. The integration of metal oxides with other materials to generate composite structure demonstrate an enhancement in sensitivity and/or other vital humidity sensing properties even further. In this review, various morphologies and composite structures have been presented, each with exceptional humidity sensing characteristics throughout a wide range of relative humidity levels. Apart from that, working principle and conduction mechanism of resistive type humidity sensor will be discussed and presented. From this review, it can be concluded that the effect of compositing ZnO with other materials contributed to the enhancement and improvement performance of the humidity sensor towards humidity sensing.","PeriodicalId":313365,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Electrical & Electronic Systems Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122985977","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
