Acara tersebut dilaksanakan setiap tahun, yakni pada bulan Syawal. Tradisi ini berupaya mengembangkan kegiatan yang syarat dengan “nilai-nilai pendidikan tali asih,” yang antara lain: pertama , menghidupkan rumah keprabon untuk acara Ahlen. Kedua , pembacaan doa kepada leluhur dengan tahlil . Ketiga , mengenalkan anggota keluarga baru. Keempat , pembacaan ikrar janji untuk rukun tanpa permusuhan. Kelima , pembagian angpau. Keenam , bersalam-salaman antara sesama saudara. Kegiatan yang senantiasa diupayakan untuk menghidupkan pemaknaan ( meaningful of action ), artinya memaknai kegiatan Ahlen ini menjadi dasar yang tidak boleh ditinggalkan lantaran di sinilah pusat tarbiyah an-nafs . Secara tidak langsung tradisi Ahlen ini juga memberikan dampak positif untuk hati, mengajari untuk lebih menghargai leluhur, meninggalkan egoisitas diri, memaafkan kesalahan saudara, dan tulus untuk berjabat tangan dengan saudara. Budaya Ahlen ini mengarahkan dan merealisasikan kepada setiap pelakunya untuk menuju pada hati yang hidup bukan hati yang mati sebab untuk sampai pada tahapan manusia yang penuh manfaat, fondasi dasar yakni hati yang hidup sangat diperlukan. This paper sought to search the positive part from the tradition of Ahlen;one of tradition based on Islam. It developed for many years in districs of Kalijambe, Sragen, Central Java. That event held every years on Syawal month. This tradition sought to develop the event that have many “values ofaffection education”. Firstly, revive “kepabron’s home” to doing the Ahlen’s programme. Secondly, read of prayer to ancestor by tahlil. Thirdly, to acquaint all of the new comer in big family. Fourthly, read of pledge to make the unity without the hostility. Fifthly, give the angpau. Sixthly, shake hands to the others. This event sought to raise the meaningful of action, it means all people have to intepret this event. It is to make foundation and can’t leave it, cause here is the central of tarbiyah an-nafs (the education of soul). The traditionof Ahlen having good impact to the soul, because the tradition of Ahlen rich the education of soul and educate to appreciate ancestor, leave self ego, giving a forgive to another, and sincere shake hands to another. Karakter tersebut menjadi penting dikaji untuk melihat basis-basis pembentukannya. Pada umumnya, kelas menengah Muslim Indonesia tumbuh karena dua sumber: intelektualisme dan borjuasi. Intelektualisme menandai adanya transformasi pemikiran Islam yang serba ortodoks dan puritan menjadi kritis. Sedangkan borjuasi menandai adanya pergeseran basis ekonomi yang semula bercorak agraris menjadi tergantung pada jasa, perdagangan, maupun birokrasi. Modernisasi menjadi kata kunci terhadap pembaruan kelas menengah Muslim Indonesia. Ia terbagi dalam tiga rentang waktu, yakni masa kolonialisme, pascakemerdekaan dan masa pascareformasi. Sejalan dengan modernisasi tersebut, arah partisipasi dan representasi politik kelas menengah Muslim Indonesia kemudian berkembang ke dalam ranah politik maupun non-politik. Secara politis, pendirian partai politik merupakan solusi bagi mereka dalam mengartikulasikan kepentingannya. Sedangkan,secara non-politis atau kultural, mereka umumnya terepresentasikan dalam kegiatan keagamaan dan pengajian kaum elit.This article aimed to analyze about political character of Indonesia Muslim middle class in postreformation era. In addition to analyze, this article is also describe the typology of Indonesian Muslim middle class. That typologies are becoming important to observe the establishment bases of Indonesian Muslim middle class. In general terms, Indonesian Muslim middle class have grown up due to intellectualism and bourgeoises. Intellectualism has indicated such transformation from traditional thinking method based on pesantren to critical studies. Meanwhile, bourgeoises indicated transformation from farming activities towards trade, bureaucracy, and manufactures. In other words, modernizationis pivotal words among Indonesian Muslim middle class which devided into three parts; colonialization, republicanism, and postreformation era. Those three parts have own modernization characteristic. In line with that growth pattern, political party establishment is sole solution among Indonesian middle class to articule their political interest. Furthermore, middle class who were not in political struggle tend to creating “majelis ta'lim” and other forms. It is came to conclusion that society strengthening is ultimate option to carry out political interest and representation. It also facilitates problem solving learning on design aspects, development, utilization, assessment processes and learning resources. Perspective of learning technology in the global era is how Islamic education (PAI) teachers professionally are able to design and create innovative learning environment with reference to the process of national education standard that sets out in the framework of national education. PAI teacher’s challenge in the global erais the demands of the learning process that can improve information literacy that is well supported by data and facts to deliver to the students in the era of information society and the knowledge society. So it is needed an approach and innovative method of learning strategies that address the challenges of learning needs in the globalization and information era. Dialectics of technology on learning in a globalization era are characterized by the demands of the students to have critical thinking skills, problem solving, innovative and creative, mastering ICT, fluent communication and multi languages. And also Islamic education teacher competence and interaction and learning technologies such as ICT products that push reposition the role of an advanced teacher trainer, counselor, manager, participants, leader and author of learning works asan abstraction and a high commitment as a base quality of professionalism. Teknologi pembelajaran sebagai disiplin ilmu terapan tumbuh dan berkembang sesuai kebutuhan belajar yang lebih efektif, efisien, luas dan cepat di era global. Selain itu juga memfasilitasi pemecahan masalah belajar pada aspek desain, pengembangan, pemanfaatan, penilaian proses-proses serta sumber-sumber belajar. Perspektif teknologi pembelajaran di era global adalah bagaimana guru PAI secara profesional mampu mendesain dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inovatif dengan mengacu pada standar proses pendidikan nasional yang ditetapkan dalam kerangkan pendidikan nasional. Tantangan guru PAI di era global adalah tuntutan terhadap proses pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan information literacy yang baik didukung oleh data dan fakta untuk mengantarkan siswanya menuju pada era masyarakat informasi dan masyarakat ilmu pengetahuan. Ratusan dan bahkan ribuan anggotanya dari beberapa provinsi diketahui melakukan eksodus ke beberapa provinsi di Kalimantan. Majelis Ulama Indonesia mengeluarkan fatwa yang menyatakan bahwa Gafatar sesat dan menyesatkan. Pemerintah melalui Kementerian Dalam Negeri, Jaksa Agung dan Kementerian Agama juga mengeluarkan keputusan bersama. Sedangkan Kepolisian Republik Indonesia melakukan penindakan hukum terhadap beberapa pemimpin Gafatar. Kementerian Agama melalui jajarannya melakukan sejumlah langkah pembinaan terhadap mantan Gafatar, termasuk di Kalimantan Tengah. Melalui metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, diketahui bahwa sejumlah Kantor Kementerian Agama kabupaten/kota di Kalimantan Tengah telah melakukan penyuluhan agama Islam dan pendampingan terhadap mantan Gafatar. Penyuluhan agama Islam dan pendampingan tersebut dapat dilihat dalam perspektif komunikasi. Dalam pandangan komunikasi, penyuluhan dan pendekatan terhadap mantan Gafatar akan akan menghasilkan pemahaman bersama yang menjadi dasar perubahan perilaku. Perubahan perilaku pada mantan Gafatar diharapkan bisa mengembalikan mereka kepada ajaran Islam yang benar dan agar Gafatar tidak berkembang menjadi gerakan fundamentalis Islam radikal yang bisa memunculkan radikalisme agama sebagai awal dari terorisme. Fajar Nusantara Movement (Gafatar) has made social hype in the public recently. Hundreds and even thousands of its members that were from several provinces was known to have made an exodus to the provinces in Kalimantan.The Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) issued a fatwa stating that the Gafatar organization is heretical and misleading as well. The government through the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), the Attorney General (Jaksa Agung) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) also issued a joint decision. Meanwhile, the Indonesian National Police also conducted legal actions against some Gafatar leaders. The Ministry of Religious Affairs through its staff also conducted a religious program as a teaching step for former members of the Gafatar, including those were in Central Kalimantan. Through a qualitative research method with a case study approach, a number of the offices of Religious Affairs Ministries in districts and cities in Central Kalimantan had conducted a religious counseling program and accompaniment to former Gafatar. Religious counseling and mentoring can be seen in the perspective of communication. In that perspective, counseling and mentoring to ex Gafatar would generate a common understanding that becomes the basic of changes in behavior. Tafsir terhadap agama diarahkan kepada dua unsur tersebut. Yang penting dicatat dalam konteks penafsiran bahwa di satu sisi, pengalaman keagamaan seorang nabi bervariasi dan kitab suci agama mengandung pesan beragam. Sedangkan di sisi lain, seorang mufassir agama melalui luar kerangka agama sehingga terselip asumsi-asumsi, harapan-harapan dan teori-teori ilmu pengetahuan sesuai dinamika hidup sang mufassir. Karena itu, tafsir terhadap agama yang disebut dengan istilah pemikiran keagamaan menurut Sorosh tidak hanya beragam, tetapi juga dinamis. Keragaman dan dinamika pemikiran keagamaan bisa dilihat dari banyaknya aliran pemikiran keagamaan yang berkembang di dunia, baik aliran keagamaan yang menjadi mainstream maupun non-mainstream. Contohnya, Sorosh melansir tiga kategori aliran pemikiran keagamaan yang berkembang saat ini: pertama, pemikiran keagamaan yang menekankan agama agar bermanfaat bagi manusia dalam menjalani hidupnya di dunia (maslahi). Kedua, pemikiran keagamaan yang menekankan agar agama bisa menjawab persoalan-persoalan epistemologis yang dihadapi manusia (ma'rifati). Ketiga, pemikiran keagamaan yang menekankan agar agama menjadi bagian dari pengalaman seseorang dalam bertemu dengan Tuhan (tajribati). Masing-masing aliran itu menurut Sorosh mempunyai variasi gerakan sendiri-sendiri, namun aliran keagamaan yang ketiga (tajribati) lebih bervariasi daripada dua aliran lainnya.According to Abdul Karim Sorosh, the religion consists of two components namely a person's meeting experience to the Sacred and the holy books which is concreted from its Sacred experience. Interpretation of the religion is directed to these two elements. Meanwhile, prophets had varied religious experiences as well as religion's holy books contain diverse messages. However, mufassir interprets religion through the outside framework of religion itself; as a result, assumptions, expectations and theories of science are which in accordance with the life of the mufassir start to emerge eventually. For that reason, the interpretation of religious according to Sorosh is not only diverse but also dynamic. The diversity and dynamics of religious thought can be seen from variability of sect developed around the world in the form of mainstream and non-mainstream. The example is that Sorosh divided three categories of religious thought sect nowdays. Firstly, it emphasizes that religion is beneficial for living in the world (maslahi). Secondly, it highlight that religion can solve epistemological problems faced by mankind (ma'rifati). Thirdly, it put emphasison the concept that religion as a part of one's experience in meeting the Lord (tajribati). Some Western critics charge that Islam has misogynist tendencies that are often teaches and promoted the inferiority of women in Muslim societies. As a result the debate over female leadership in Islam is a become splinter of the debate on Islam’s views of women in general. The role of Women in Islam, as a political leader is considered a taboo, even sometimes get fierce opposition from a group of people, who interpret the word of God in a veil of monopolistic desires. However, there were numerous women in Islamic history that is capable of being head of state. In the various Arab speaking notes, women have been known as the head of state. In the Sultanate of Delhi, there was Razia Sultan, in Egypt there was Shajarat ad Durr, during Ottoman period, there was Mihrimah Sultan and coincidently, all of them were Turkic origin. The study examines the reason why those women can become leaders within Islamdom. The conclusion, secularism of Islamdom which orchestrated by Turkic Mercenaries, when the institution of Abbasid Caliphate and Sultanate was separated, makes the women are eligible to become sultanah, which consistent with women’s independent nature in Turkic society. Status perempuan di dunia Islam merupakan masalah yang kerapkali diperdebatkan. Beberapa kritikus Barat menuduh bahwa Islam memiliki kecenderungan misoginis yang sering mengajarkan rendahnya posisi perempuan dalam masyarakat Muslim. Akibatnya perdebatan kepemimpinan perempuan dalam Islam selalu mengarah menjadi perdebatan pada pandangan Islam tentang perempuan pada umumnya. Peran perempuan dalam Islam, sebagai pemimpin politik dianggap tabu, bahkan kadang-kadang mendapatkan perlawanan sengit dari sekelompok orang, yang menafsirkan firman Allah sesuai keinginannya sendiri. Namun, ada banyak perempuan dalam sejarah Islam yang mampu menjadi kepala negara. Dalam berbagai catatan berbahasa Arab, perempuan telah dikenal sebagai pemimpin negara. Di Kesultanan Delhi ada Razia Sultan, di Mesir ada Syajarat al Durr, di Turki Usmaniada Mihrimah Sultan dan kebetulan semua dari orang Turki. Artikel ini mengkaji alasan mengapa para perempuan dapat menjadi pemimpin di dunia Islam. Ia telah menghasilkan berbagai karya dalam bidang filsafat, sejarah ide, imajinasi sosial, modernitas, identitas, religi, ilmu kemanusiaan, ilmu sosial, bahasa dan mendapatkan perhatian dari berbagai sarjana di seluruh dunia, kecuali Indonesia. Artikel ini merupakan upaya perdana untuk memperkenalkan karya-karya Taylor, yang hampir semua berbahasa Inggris dan Prancis. Studi bibliografi ini, paling tidak akan memberikan genealogi gagasan-gagasan Taylor. Dalam studi ini dijelaskan siapa saja sarjana yang telah melakukan studi terhadap pemikiran Taylor. Adapun susunan artikel ini adalah biografi intelektual Taylor, karya-karyanya, para penstudi Taylor, dan cuplikan pemikirannya. Akhirnya, ditemukan bahwa karya-karya Taylor merupakan USAhanya untuk memberikan peran kembali agama di dalam ruang publik, dimana argumen-argumennya telah banyak mengundang perdebatan di kalangan para sarjana. Paling tidak, artikel ini mampu memberikan masukan bagi para sarjana yang mengkaji Islam di Indonesia, untuk dapat mengunakan model-model argumen yang dilakukan oleh Taylor, dalam memahami religi dalam era kontemporer.This article is about Charles Taylor, a philosopher from McGill University, Canada. He has authored many works in philosophy, history of ideas, social imaginary, modernity, identity, human sciences, social sciences, language, and received many responses from scholars Internationally, except Indonesia. This study is an introduction to his works, which are mostly written in English and France. As bibliographical study, this article will map out varieties of Taylor's ideas in his works. This study listed some of scholars who study Charles Taylor's thought. Furthermore, this article will examine intellectual biography of Taylor, his works, and works on him by Western scholars. Finally, it argued that his works have taken a step how to integrate the role of religion in public spaces, which is still debated among scholars. Maka agama memiliki potensi untuk menimbulkan suatu konflik internal maupun eksternal yang akhirnya dapat merugikan masyarakat itu sendiri.Multiculturalism is an acknowledgment that several different cultures can exist in the same environment and benefit from each other. Indonesia is avery diverse nation is a fact that can't be denied by anyone. The diversity of Indonesia is not only reflected in the many islands that are united under the authority of the state, but also the diversity of skin color, language, religion and ethnic culture. In the perspective of sociology, religion is seen as a belief system that is embodied in certain social behaviors. Religion deals with human experience, both as individuals and groups. Therefore, the behavior that is played by individuals or groups that would be associated with the belief system of the teachings of their religion. The differences of religious paradigm can lead to narrow fanaticism and exclusivism to another in society. Keberhasilannya dalam mengemban misi dakwah di tengah masyarakat telah menjadi bukti bahwa NU adalah bagian yang tak bisa dipisahkan dalam dinamika sejarah perkembangan bangsa Indonesia. Namun di balik kesuksesannya dalam dimensi sosio-religius itu ternyata berbanding terbalik dengan kondisi kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat Nahdliyin khususnya dan bangsa Indonesia pada umumnya. Meski secara prinsip keorganisasian NU sudah lama merumuskan konsep kesejahteraan ekonomi, akan tetapi secara praktis NU masih terkesan kurang memprioritaskan pemberdayaan dalam sektor ekonomi. Apalagi dalam menghadapi MEA (Masyarakat EkonomiASEAN), strategi dan tindakan NU dalam mengemban amanat untukmeningkatkan kesejahteraan umat haruslah tepat. Ketepatan strategi dan tindakan yang dimaksud tentu tetap berlandaskan pada dimensi keagamaan yang jelas. Beberapa di antaranya sebagaimana dalam al-Qur’an yang menjunjung tinggi etos transformasi (Q.S. 16:125), etos kerja (Q.S. 9: 105),etos intelektual (Q.S. 48: 11), etos sosial (Q.S: 107:1-3), etos moral (Q.S.87: 14-15) dan etos penghargaan (Q.S.99:7). Maka dari itu, artikel ini bertujuan untuk menelisik apa saja faktor penghambat yang menyebabkan NU terkesan lamban dalam peran peningkatan kesejahteraan hidup umat, sekaligus menyuguhkan strategi dan tindakan aplikatif yang jitu sebagai problem solving atas krisis multidimensi yang mendera masyarakat dewasa ini. NU is the largest Muslim organization in Indonesia. Its success in the mission of preaching in the community has become evident that NU can’t be separated in the dynamics of the historical development of the Indonesian. But behind the success in socio-religious dimension it faces a problem about the Nahdliyin’seconomic welfare. Although the principle of organizational NU had long been formulating, but practically NU still less impressed prioritize empowerment in the economic sector. Moreover, in response to MEA (ASEAN Economic Community), a strategy and action NU in undertaking to improve the welfare of the people must be right. Appropriateness of strategies and actions is of course still based on a clear religious dimension. Some of them, as in the Qur’an that up holds the ethos of transformation (Q.S. 16: 125), work ethos (Q.S. 9: 105), intellectual ethos (Q.S. 48: 11), a social ethos (Q.S.107: 1-3 ), moral ethos (Q.S. 87: 14-15) and the ethos of the award (Q.S.99: 7). Runtuhnya Turki Usmani dan berkembangnya arus modernisasi akhirnya menjadikan Turki bermanuver menjadi negara sekuler di bawah kendali Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Ia beranggapan bahwa hanya dengan konsep sekulerlah Turki bisa bangkit dan menjadi negara maju layaknya Barat. Namun upaya sekularisasi tersebut, lebih tampak sebagai bentuk pemaksaan dari pemerintah rezim, bukan sekularisasi yang tumbuh sebagai suatu konsekuensi dari proses modernisasi seperti di negara-negara Eropa. Oleh karena itu, secara genealogi artikel ini mengkaji proses transformasi Turki Usmani menuju negara sekuler. Lebih tepatnya, telaah kritis terhadap sekularisasi dan modernisasi di Turki serta kritik terhadap usaha-usaha Mustafa Kemal Ataturk dalam ambisi sekularisasinya. Historically, Turkey is an Islamic state which firstly adopted the secular concept.The collapse of the Ottoman Empire and the development of modernization eventually make Turkey maneuvered into a secular state under the control of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. He thinks that only the secular concept, Turkeycould rise up and become a developed state like the West. But the efforts of secularization, is more visible as coercion of a regime, not secularization growas a consequence of the modernization process as it is in European countries. Therefore, genealogically, this article examines the transformation process ofthe Ottoman Empire to the secular state.
