This topic is highly challenging, especially in domain of electricity meters intended for legal metrology purposes, i.e. for billing in the regulated trade of electrical energy. Test procedures for examination of electricity meters’ output in case of harmonically distorted signals are proposed in several international standards and recommendations. The drawbacks of the signals presented in these documents are the lack of complexity and random behavior of single harmonic component’s amplitude and phase shift. Because many types of electricity meters are used worldwide, different output is expected for instruments based on different measurement principles. For faithful presentation of meters’ errors in case of harmonics, several devices are about to be tested with random distorted signals, by using different currents and phase shifts.","PeriodicalId":312395,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125144031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In other words it is an innovation platform that can provide new services, enhance the user experience and connect new industries. The design of 5G not only focuses on improving mobile broadband, but also on providing control over services through ultra-reliable communication links with low latency and connection to massive internet services. At the heart of 5G network there is a new, unified radio interface - 5G New Radio (NR). 5G NR is part of the 3GPP standards defined in Release 15. This paper provides an overview of the specifications defined for standardization of the new generation of mobile networks, describes the key technologies that are subject for analysis about the development of 5G NR and gives a performance evaluation in order to make a comparison with the services we use today. This technology will start a new industrial revolution, providing high communication speeds, extremely low latency, reliable communication and services that have not been possible before.","PeriodicalId":312395,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies","volume":"317 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134282393","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such constraints, together with the nonlinear non-convex and mixed-integer objective function, make the search space extremely complex. The time of operation of the units is considered to be 24 h. To achieve this objective, a Genetic Algorithm (GA) with two new constraint handling repair mechanisms was applied. The proposed algorithm will be applied to the hydrothermal system, under different hydrological conditions, to prove i.e., confirmation of the initial hypothesis, which indicates that the total operating costs depend significantly on the hydrological conditions, i.e., the available volume of water and the inflows in the reservoirs of the hydropower plants. The proposed algorithm was applied on IEEE 30 bus system, but also tested on a benchmark system, and confirmed by comparison with other hybrid techniques such as PSO–GWO and DA-PSO. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is established by comparing it to these two hybrid algorithms.","PeriodicalId":312395,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127648066","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this research is to obtain the cost effective configuration of the system, which will meet consumption demands, respecting the total net present costs. HOMER software is used to simulate the system and to determine the most appropriate combination of renewable energy resources. Sensitivity analysis is also performed in order to examine how the average annual wind speed, average annual solar radiation and the fuel price will affect the configuration of the system. At the end the emissions analysis of the verious types of the hybrid energy system is also carried out.","PeriodicalId":312395,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134285560","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A mobile operator is interested in the usage popularity of services as well as the temporal distribution of the service usage. This enables identification of the volume of incoming and outgoing traffic and aids the operators to design a network that can support expected user activity. The latest networking trends point in the direction of virtualized network resources, thus exhibiting more effective network usage. The design of virtual networks is strongly affected by the pattern of mobile data for certain services. Therefore, a prior and adequate knowledge of the mobile services’ popularity and their usage can significantly improve the user experience on the network. This paper provides empirical measurements and analytical modelling of mobile data traffic using data from an operational nationwide mobile network. The network utilizes the latest trends, i.e., a virtual environment and a private cloud. The paper proposes estimation parameters for the measured traffic that match the distribution of real traffic with the lowest error.","PeriodicalId":312395,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125295296","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, computers don’t “think” and operate in the same way as humans. In this paper, a simple solution to this problem is provided using the Hausdorff distance. The used data consists of two sets of images: the first set is taken as a reference point used for comparison and consists of handwritten letters from the Macedonian alphabet, and the second set consists of separate letters of the word which is to be recognized and presented to the algorithm. The Hausdorff distance is used to find the closest resemblance between the letter to be recognized and the relevant letter from the reference set.","PeriodicalId":312395,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129129510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
