Hyperlipidemia is the most important atherosclerotic risk factor. Review of population-based studies in India shows increasing mean total cholesterol levels. Recent studies have reported that high cholesterol is present in 25–30% of urban and 15–20% rural subjects. This prevalence is lower than high-income countries. The most common Hyperlipidemia in India are borderline high LDL cholesterol, low HDL cholesterol and high triglycerides. Studies have reported that over a 20-years period total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels have increased among urban populations. Homoeopathy can play vital role not only in prevention and promotion but also as treatment in pre-clinical condition of borderline high-risk lipid levels and clinical condition of Hyperlipidemia with the proper use of Repertory and Homoeopathic materia medica.","PeriodicalId":310512,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132328660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the reasons why people are turning to yoga is to find a way to relax, to find a way to reduce stress, to find a way to manage their anxiety, and to find a way to improve their mental health. But there are other reasons why people are turning to yoga, and one of them is to improve their physical health, to improve their fitness, and to improve their wellbeing. Yoga is the practice of achieving a state of mind and body through physical postures and breathing exercises [3]. It is the process of quieting the mind and focusing the mind on a single point. It is the process of adjusting the body to various positions and postures. Yoga is a great way to relax and unwind [1]. When we are stressed out and busy, it is all too easy to let our health and fitness regime slide. It also becomes harder to find the time to fit in a session of yoga. Today, yoga is practised all over the world in a variety of styles and formats. It has become a commonly recommended form of exercise to improve strength and flexibility, reduce stress and improve overall health.","PeriodicalId":310512,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy","volume":"87 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124163846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was divided into Literary Study and Clinical Study. References were studied for different keywords like – Saar, Oja, Bala, Rasayana, Udana vata, etc. So, to prove the concept and for the applied aspect of ‘Udana Vata for Immunity’ a clinical study was performed on patients at OPD level. Patients were selected keeping in view, the ‘desire for maintaining health’ as mentioned in Ayurvedic texts. Selected patients for Rasayana were randomly divided into two groups of 25 patients each. The efficacy of the therapy was assessed on the basis of subjective as well as objective criteria. Traditionally there is no objective assessment criteria is given in texts. Thus, a need aroused to do the same, therefore with the help of modern and traditional knowledge following criteria were developed by me and all patients were examined under following criteria. 1. Saarta scale 2. Bala scale 3. Swara scale 4. Varna scale 5. Smriti scale An attempt was made to find out the best condition for getting rasayana effects. This study was done only for ‘vata- tapik rasayana’ (In routine life). There was 72 % marked improved in udana vata group vis a vis only 36% marked improvement in control group. Rasayana are best effective in lehiya form. Oja / Immunity can be improved if lehiya form of rasayana is given in Udana kaal and at udana sthana. Udana consideration is important for best rasayana effects.
