Rybakov","doi":"10.33257/phchgd.20.4.864","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33257/phchgd.20.4.864","url":null,"abstract":"This paper describes the general idea and the implementation of the Interactive information and modeling system – an integrated environment that combines computational modules for modeling the aerodynamics and aerothermodynamics of re-entry space vehicles with the large collection of different information materials on this topic. This system provides interactive mechanisms for performing numerical simulation of processes around a vehicle and analysis of the results. The paper describes and illustrates the internal organization and the composition of the system. Examples of the computational and information output are presented together with the simplified working scenario. A new heat transfer similarity number of deposit formation that can describe its thermal and electric nature is presented here. New methods of experimental studies under free air convection with deposit on the heat transfer surface are given and dis-cussed. The deposit was as a dense wet mass of NaCl salt. A new criterion equation for natural convection conditions of air has been obtained and shown in the article. A formula was developed for calculating the hydrodynamic drag coefficient f of a drop-shaped tube bundle, taking into account the number of tube rows R N . Drop-shaped tubes were arranged in a staggered pattern and placed in consecutive rows in the direction of flow (from 1 to 20 rows), each of which consists of 7 tubes in the transverse direction. The Reynolds number Re ranged from 1.78 × 10 3 to 18.72 × 10 3 . The results showed that f decreases with increasing Re. Moreo-ver, an increase in R N leads to an increase in the drag coefficient. f increases by about 18.59 ÷ 21.91 times with an increase in R N from 1 to 20.
