The most popular carriers for steganography are the redundant data of multimedia, such as image, video, audio, and text digital image. Digital watermarking is the practice of hiding a message about a digital image within that image. Modern halftoning algorithms for obtaining a digital binarized image, applicable as a watermark, are discussed. The description of the steganographic system and results of halftoning of the grayscale images are presented. The algorithms of embedding of the halftoned image into grayscale image using the secret key, which provides theoretical and practical secrecy of the stegosystem, and detection, are described. The degradation of the embedded halftoned image by JPEG compression is estimated. From the results of calculations of the chosen distortion measures it has been found that digital watermarks created by using block-based halftoning algorithm has a smallest degradation by JPEG compression, than those obtained by other halftoning algorithms. Thus, the proposed steganographic system provides desired stability to compression and secrecy.","PeriodicalId":309242,"journal":{"name":"2016 18th Conference of Open Innovations Association and Seminar on Information Security and Protection of Information Technology (FRUCT-ISPIT)","volume":"139 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134477032","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Current situation of traffic management did not offer a sufficient solution and it is not wise to use the current technology to improve the traffic situation on the city roads. This paper deals with advanced methods for optimization, the genetic algorithms, for using in urban traffic management. Implementation of genetic algorithm and also implementation of classical static solution were provided. We try to prove the advantages of modern optimization methods, which could bring more fluent traffic to the cities and solve the current challenges as i.e. high emissions, big delay, higher probability of accidents. The paper provides comparison measurements of static and dynamic solution in discrete time, discussion of the possible implementation in praxis and evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages for both methods.","PeriodicalId":309242,"journal":{"name":"2016 18th Conference of Open Innovations Association and Seminar on Information Security and Protection of Information Technology (FRUCT-ISPIT)","volume":"147 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124362582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method is intended to solve the problem of data classification in the internal audit of computer equipment with a large volume of data stored on the media. The parametric space of informative features for the classification task is defined. To conduct internal audit of computer technologies in order to analyze the information security incidents we need data related directly with the user's action. While OS data are considered a priori as legitimate. With the growing volume of stored and processed information there is a need for accurate classification of user and system data to ensure that expert is analyzing only the information that can attribute itself with the information security incident. Thus, carrying out classification with high precision, it is possible to reduce the probability of the expert error during the internal audit of large amounts of data of operating system and application software. The method consists of several stages. The first stage involves the collecting of samples out of virtual machines running the Windows 10 operating system. Then the attributes of data stored on the hard disk are retrieved. Further, the received set of attributes is written to a “csv” file with a specific structure. On the final stage the informativity of features for further classification of files to user or system is determined. This method has the potential for development and showed its applicability in tasks of data classification to user or system. The feature informativity for accurate classification was identified. The comparison of three classification algorithms was carried out and the Naive Bayes classifier was selected. The method can be used not only in tasks of internal audit of computer equipment under the influence of information security violation threats, but for the purpose of computer forensics, which is investigation of information security incidents.","PeriodicalId":309242,"journal":{"name":"2016 18th Conference of Open Innovations Association and Seminar on Information Security and Protection of Information Technology (FRUCT-ISPIT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133662622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While the majority of existing solutions suggest a wireless key to be a battery-powered device with considerable computational power, we propose to use passive NFC tags instead. In our approach, all the computations are performed by the service the user is authenticating to and thus no computational power and no battery on the key side is required. This approach allows minimizing the device size and significantly reducing the costs. To ensure security of data stored on the tag we propose a transparent data encryption mechanism constructed on top of strong cryptographic primitives. In addition to the authentication-related feature, we have designed a system that enables secure storage of documents on the same tag making it capable of saving ID cards, bank cards, licenses, etc. The presented approach allows on-the-fly validation of any stored document by the entity that issued it as well as by any other entity granted such permissions. Correctness and a security level of the system have been assessed via the analytical study and validated through a hardware prototype. The algorithms and protocols described in the paper are also applicable to any other carrier technology including Bluetooth Low Energy and Wireless USB.","PeriodicalId":309242,"journal":{"name":"2016 18th Conference of Open Innovations Association and Seminar on Information Security and Protection of Information Technology (FRUCT-ISPIT)","volume":"252 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-04-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116391279","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
