Im persönlichen Umgang zwischen den Familien auf allen Ebenen lernen die Partnerfamilien voneinander: Das familiäre Setting erlaubt eine Begegnung auf Augenhöhe – einzigartig ist die Möglichkeit für die ganze Familie, sich aktiv zu engagieren. Alle Beteiligten profitieren von diesem Projekt: Die zugewanderte Familie wird beim Aufbau eines Netzwerkes in Österreich unterstützt, was Integration und Zugänge erleichtert. Die österreichische Patenfamilie hat die Chance, im Rahmen ihrer Möglichkeiten einen Beitrag zu Integration zu leisten; beide bekommen Einblick in andere kulturelle Lebenswelten. Speziell für Kinder bieten sich wertvolle und einfache interkulturelle Begegnungsmöglichkeiten, die den Ausbau ihrer interkulturellen Kompetenzen stärkt – Vielfalt und Interkulturalität wird zur Selbstverständlichkeit im eigen en Umfeld und im Alltag! Eltern in europäischen Gegenwartsgesellschaften leben seit mehreren Generationen zusammen mit Eingewanderten aus sehr verschiedenen Ländern und Kulturen. Neu hinzugekommen sind geflüchtete Eltern aus den afrikanischen und Nahost Kriegsgebieten. Damit stellen sich der herkömmlichen nationalen Elternbildung Aufgaben, auf die sie noch kaum vorbereitet ist. Für diese Herausforderung soll der Vortrag sensibilisieren. Saskia Bonjour will discuss the fragmented and incomplete insights offered by existing research about the actual relation between family migration and migrant integration. Although it has long been acknowledged that fertility intentions do not remain stable over time, research regarding decision making processes about having a second child is scarce. We analyse one possible factor affecting the revision of parents’ fertility intentions around the birth of their first child namely, whether reported distress caused by the first child’s temperament is systematically related changes in reported fertility intentions. Our estimations are based on first eight waves of the German Family Panel (pairfam). All in all, we find that the reported intention to have two children is fairly common: This is in fact the case with 60 % of all observations and furthermore 83 % of respondents report the expectation of having t","PeriodicalId":309042,"journal":{"name":"Familie – Bildung – Migration","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121497880","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
