The project tries to reconnect the different levels of the place, building a floor with a continuous paving of anti-slipping stone as an adaptation of the traditional paving system. The connections with the streets are solved with soft ramps and with stairs of small height, to facilitate the daily displacements of the elderly people. The historical Valencia Street had been lost when the archaeological area was opened up and is connected from the historical center. A large wooden platform that adapts to the natural topography with steps, recovers this historic access road. The floating plaza is a continuity of the public space of the surrounding streets, which overflies the archaeological space. A floating pavement of iroko wood slats, with details of handcrafted placement, on a steel structure that allows it to adapt to the topography. An urban space made of wood promotes the tactile sensation of small scale in urban spaces.\u0000 La premisa inicial del proyecto fue dual al tener que realizar un proyecto de regeneración urbana, tratándolo con una perspectiva inclusiva para mejorar la calidad de vida de gente del barrio, y poner en valor los hallazgos arqueológicos de época andalusí (S.X-XII) y época cristiana (S.XIII-XV). El proyecto se centra además en reconectar los diferentes niveles del espacio urbano incluyendo un pavimento continuo de piedra adaptando el sistema de pavimentación tradicional local. In addition, Derzhprom is endowed with unique architectural properties, which in many ways influenced the image of Soviet modernist architecture. Moreover, considering the number of workers on the construction site, which was more than 5,000, the entire enterprises created for the construction of Derzhprom, its role in the development of the region is also difficult to overestimate.\u0000A whole series of adopted scaling decisions, on the one hand, create a coherent composition of Derzhprom itself and emphasize the building as the central element in Freedom Square, and it treats the buildings around them tolerantly, despite all the “otherness” of the architectural language, on the other.\u0000The building has undergone several internal and external transformations, and even changed its silhouette, by adding new elements. Despite this, Derzhprom is still arguably the most significant architectural object in the identity and cultural heritage of the city for the vast majority of Kharkiv residents.\u0000 The Derzhprom building was the first office building built in the Constructivist style. Sociology, economics, law, politics, geography, anthropology, architecture, urban planning, design, neighborhood planning, or real estate studies are part of the set of approaches that focus on the residential fact, as well as such as its implications and impact on the environment, social welfare or people’s health. The Barcelona Chair of Housing Studies is based on this holistic approach, from its own inter-university configuration, constituting itself as a polyhedral and transdisciplinary platform. The impact capacity of the Chair as a tool for social transformation will be deeply linked to the ability to integrate the greatest number and greatest possible diversity of approaches to housing research into its context.\u0000 La aproximación al habitar como objeto de estudio destaca precisamente por la necesidad de observación e interacción entre múltiples áreas de conocimiento. La sociología, la economía, el derecho, la política, la geografía, la antropología, la arquitectura, el urbanismo, el diseño, la planificación de barrios, o los estudios inmobiliarios forman parte del conjunto de aproximaciones, que enfocan el hecho residencial, así como sus implicaciones e impacto en el medio ambiente, el bienestar social o la salud de las personas. La Cátedra Barcelona de Estudios de Vivienda se fundamenta en esta aproximación holística, desde su propia configuración interuniversitaria, constituyéndose como una plataforma poliédrica y transdisciplinar. {"title":"VILLA MÜLLER: MÁS ALLÁ DE LO MODERNO","authors":"Javier Bernalte Patón","doi":"10.5821/palimpsesto.24.10739","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5821/palimpsesto.24.10739","url":null,"abstract":"Summary\u0000The memories of the experience I lived in this house, almost 25 years ago, has accompanied me thoughout development as architect, and comes today to light in this article, showing the complexity of a full of life house, against the superfluous simplification of the contemporary world. \u0000Since that first encounter with the Villa Müller, tied to the placelike a modern fortress, and through a lineal narrative that invokes the sequential routes of the house, the article opens up about that Loos’ haptic vision, capable of viewing and sensing what others can not. \u0000Villa Müller is far more than a walk…, a continuous crossed and ascendingpromenade, that concludes in the rooftop. It is the built manifestation of that labyrinthine house, filled with hidden alveoli from the basement to the attic, where one can found all the lived and dream homes that any man would keep in their subconscious mind. A full of humanity subconscious, that should never have been so caught up in reason. \u0000The article narrates the experience of architecture inside the house as a complex phenomenologicalevent, full of transveral memory. In a place where passing fads live and die, there is no place for Loos, an eternal architect, whose time is yet to come. \u0000 \u0000Keywords\u0000Mediterranean, Sequence, Complexity, Labyrinth, Humanity\u0000 Resumen \u0000La memoria de la experiencia que viví en esta casa, hace casi 25 años, me ha acompañado durante toda mi vida como arquitecto, y sale hoy a relucir en este artículo, que muestra la complejidad de una casa llena de vida, frente a la simplificación superflua del mundo contemporáneo.\u0000Desde aquél primer encuentro con la Villa Müller, amarrada al lugar como una fortaleza moderna, y a través de un relato lineal, que remite al recorrido secuencial de la casa, el artículo abre vias sobre aquella mirada háptica de Loos, capaz de ver y sentir lo que otros no ven.\u0000La Villa Müller es mucho más que un paseo…, una promenade contínua, cruzada y ascensional, que culmina en la azotea. Es la manifestación construida de aquella casa laberíntica, llena de alveolos escondidos, entre el sótano y la guardilla, donde habitan todas las casas vividas y soñadas que el hombre guarda en el subconsciente. Un subconsciente, lleno de humanidad, que nunca debió apresarse tanto por la razón.\u0000El artículo narra la experiencia de la arquitectura allí dentro de la casa, como un suceso complejo, fenomenológico, cargado de memoria trasversal. Likewise, the essential characteristic of the housing crisis is that it is polyhedral, to the extent that it is a highly complex systemic problem, interconnected with multiple factors. Architects had to create spaces that would transport the viewer into a dream world, in line with the world depicted in the films, to accommodate more and more people, to arrange them in the direction of the screens and to achieve darkness. Television came to change the status quo, images emerged from a box with a screen on one side. The gadget was incorporated into homes without any specific location or special lighting requirements. The coexistence between cinema and television will highlight the existence of two types of screens. On the one hand, the surfaces that receive and reflect the images projected on them. On the other, those where the images are projected from the inside. All this opens a wide range of possibilities in the use of images in motion. The article considers the experiences of artists and architects in their work with screens as they explore their capacity to generate space.\u0000 El cine como espectáculo exigió unos espacios apropiados para acoger pantallas cada vez más grandes sobre las que se proyectaban las imágenes en movimiento.  Los arquitectos tuvieron que hacer salas que transportaran al espectador a un mundo ensoñado, en consonancia con el que describían las películas, acoger muchas personas, cada vez más, disponerlas en dirección a las pantallas y conseguir la oscuridad. La televisión vino a modificar el statu quo, las imágenes surgían de una caja que en uno de sus lados tenía una pantalla, el artilugio se incorporó a los hogares donde no necesitaba de ningún lugar específico ni unos requisitos de iluminación especiales. La convivencia entre el cine y la televisión pondrá en evidencia la existencia de dos tipos de pantallas: las superficies que reciben y reflejan las imágenes que se proyectan sobre ellas, y aquellas otras donde aparecen las imágenes que se emiten desde su interior, abriendo un amplio abanico de posibilidades en el uso de las imágenes en movimiento. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar los resultados del programa. La hipótesis es que el programa cumple con capacitar a los jóvenes, sin embargo, no garantiza la inserción en el mercado laboral una vez finalizado el proceso de capacitación. La metodología utilizada es mixta: se revisaron los objetivos del programa, sus reglas de operación, se obtuvieron datos de los beneficiarios y de los tutores, y además se realizaron diecisiete entrevistas a jóvenes que participaron.
