Pod względem zarówno liczby lokali mieszkalnych, jak i pod względem jakościowym obserwuje się pozytywne zmiany. Jednak ich tempo nie jest satysfakcjonujące. Nadal stan i struktura zasobów mieszkaniowych nie spełniają oczekiwań obywateli, a deficyt mieszkaniowy utrzymuje się na wysokim poziomie. Cele artykułu stanowią analiza stanu i struktury zasobów mieszkaniowych oraz ukazanie wpływu tych parametrów na sytuację mieszkaniową w Polsce. Autor koncentruje rozważania na wybranych parametrach służących do przeprowadzenia badania stanu i struktury zasobów mieszkaniowych. Analizuje liczbę mieszkań, zestawiając ją z liczbą ludności. Bada również przeciętną powierzchnię użytkową oraz liczbę mieszkańców przypadających na jeden lokal mieszkalny. W tekście poruszono również problem standardu mieszkaniowego oraz lokali substandardowych i poddano ocenie wpływ tych parametrów na sytuację mieszkaniową w Polsce.","PeriodicalId":307844,"journal":{"name":"Prace Naukowe Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego we Wrocławiu","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125280586","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

W celu ograniczenia rozwoju choroby w większości państw wprowadzono bardziej lub mniej restrykcyjne ograniczenia. Wiązały się one z ogromnymi kosztami ekonomicznymi oraz społecznymi. Zasadniczym celem artykułu jest zbadanie wpływu restrykcyjnego lockdownu na kondycję gospodarczą państwa. W tym celu w badaniu wykorzystano metodę syntetycznej kontroli. Analizę przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem danych z baz Eurostat oraz OECD. Uzyskane wyniki pozwalają stwierdzić, iż decyzja o niewprowadzaniu restrykcyjnego lockdownu w Szwecji uchroniła gospodarkę tego kraju przed znaczącym pogorszeniem wskaźników związanych z deficytem i długiem publicznym. Jednocześnie taka polityka rządu nie spowodowała istotnych zmian w rozwoju gospodarczym kraju. They have different expectations, which are conditioned by their age, among other things. The research goal was to recognize the motivational expectations of young people on the labour market. The study included students of selected universities from the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, and the respondents were provided with paper questionnaires to complete. The conducted research proved that young people are positively oriented towards professional challenges and to taking up employment. Although remuneration, bonuses and other financial conditions are important to them, the relationships between people, the respect and the atmosphere prevailing in the company are crucial. These expectations are certainly a challenge for modern entrepreneurs who should modify their employee motivation systems.","PeriodicalId":307844,"journal":{"name":"Prace Naukowe Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego we Wrocławiu","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131106024","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They had been hitherto treated as peripheral due to the low level of economic development. The increased permeability of borders has revived contacts between communities divided by borders. The article presents selected results of research conducted by the author in four provinces of the Polish eastern border region. The aim of the research was to determine the volume of border trade and its significance for peripheral regions. In the article, the available data from GUS [Main Statistical Office] and the Border Guard as well as the results of author’s own research based on CATI methodology were used. The conducted research indicates the importance of border trade for the development of Poland’s eastern border regions. The vast majority of foreigners visiting this area declare shopping as their main purpose of travel. The vast majority of Russians, Belorussians, and Ukrainians shop within fifty kilometers from the border. An important factor impacting on the volume of border traffic is the functioning of preferential agreements on low border traffic.","PeriodicalId":307844,"journal":{"name":"Prace Naukowe Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego we Wrocławiu","volume":"155 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128062184","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, its widespread use is also connected with a large amount of waste. The main challenge of modern economies, including Poland, is the transition into a circular economy, which aims to minimize the amount of waste generated and the use of unavoidable waste as resources through recycling processes. The aim of the article is to indicate the degree of Poland’s transformation in the area of plastic waste recycling. Poland produces less plastic waste than the EU15, but the level of recycling is lower than the EU average. The recycling of plastic waste is largely based on easy-to-collect waste from commercial networks and transport. A further increase in the recycling rate will be possible when the selective collection and recycling of household waste is intensified. Both campaigns promoting the ecological awareness of inhabitants and systemic actions aimed at increasing the degree of use of recyclable materials are necessary.","PeriodicalId":307844,"journal":{"name":"Prace Naukowe Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego we Wrocławiu","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134232786","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article presents a broader context of this mobility, presenting in the first part considerations concerning the essence of the process of internationalisation of HEIs and the strategies created for this process. The research used a multi-method approach (survey method and desk research method), with data triangulation. The assessment of the models of the range of internationalisation of these universities indicated the use of elements of the ‘import’ and ‘export’ models. An important aspect of internationalisation is the foreign mobility of both employees and students. Although students perceive the importance of international exchange, their level of knowledge about exchange programmes and interest in foreign mobility is low.","PeriodicalId":307844,"journal":{"name":"Prace Naukowe Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego we Wrocławiu","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114384135","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The accepted research hypothesis is that the positive impact of expenditure on research and development activity on its results is visible already after one or two years from when they were incurred. In order to empirically verify the proposed research hypothesis, the correlation between selected variables relating to R&D spending in 2013-2017 and selected variables determining the effects of innovative activity in 2018 in EU economies was examined. The results obtained in the study made it possible to verify the research hypothesis by confirming the important role of expenditure on research and development activity in the context of creating innovation of the economy, with particular emphasis on the financial resources of the private sector.","PeriodicalId":307844,"journal":{"name":"Prace Naukowe Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego we Wrocławiu","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116137575","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
