However, for backpacker tourists, seeking integrated information related to traveling to Labuan Bajo is one of the obstacles in the pre-trip process. Backpackers have to compare the cheapest prices from one application to another, so they experience difficulties in organizing trips manually. This resulted in the pre-trip process being inefficient and ineffective. Based on this description, this study aims to identify the need for backpacker travel guides to facilitate the pre-trip process effectively and efficiently. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach through distributing questionnaires, in-depth interviews, comparative studies, and literature studies. The results of filling out the questionnaire by the respondents were then analyzed using a quantitative approach. Expressive photography has become more subjective than other genres such as journalistic and commercial. It is this difference that makes expression photography an interesting discourse to research from the creation process, the embodiment of the work to the presentation technique. An important element in the process of embodiment of expressive photography is the relationship between the subject, object and the value of the artist’s thoughts. The subject as a photographer/creator/artist undergoes aesthetic and artistic experiences that are heavily influenced by his own history, formal education in art schools, experience of undergoing continuous photography practice, experience of observing and seeing the development of photography both in Indonesia and western country. It is this influence that makes the subject become more mature in choosing objects so that they have value and meaning for their photography career journey as well as being wiser in choosing the stories implied in their photographic works of art. In this study, the figure of Nico darmajungen was deliberately chosen considering the criteria above in accordance with his figure. Moreover, his photography styles have brought about a change in the paradigm of photography in Indonesia. The conclusion of this study is that the aesthetic experience experienced by artists and spectators becomes a major stage before works of art are created. Aesthetic experience has stimulated the brain to create works in accordance with the artistic experience that is practiced. The results of the embroidery are in the form of geometric holes. The background of this research is that hardanger embroidery appears with aesthetics an poor quality. The aim of the research was to improvw the aesthetics and quality of hardanger embroidery including a.) to determine the effect of using 1 thread on the aesthetic value and quality of hardanger embroidery b.) to determinne th effek of use 2 thread on the aesthetic value and quality of hardanger embroidery c.) to determine the effek of use 3 thread on th aesthetic value and quality of hardanger embroidery. This research was experimental research. The statistical test result with SPSS obtained significant aesthetic value of hardanger embroidery was 0.97, 0.60 and 0.61 with p<0.05 so that H0 is accepted. There is no significant effect on the aesthetics of embroidery using a different number of threads. The significant value of embroidery quality is 0.000 with p>0.05 so H0 is rejected. There is a significant effect on the quality of embroidery using a different number of thread strans. An overview of advertising comics with commercial purposes is interesting because the contents of commercial advertisements for a product become a new pattern of creativity for Tahilalats creators. The object of the problem taken from the work entitled “Surprise” offers a form of negotiation between the aim of being funny and commercial advertising The Ponds Men advertisement is a promotional idea for men’s skin care products which is humorously visualized in ten comic strip panels. The series of panels is a sign structure that will be dissected in order to find the right meaning to show the persuasion message of a commercial product. The accuracy of meaning can be seen from the visualization of the text or aspects of form and context or content as part of the marking system. The marking system will be reviewed based on the sign structure of Barthes’s semiotic theory, namely lexia. The meaning analysis begins by re-reading the nine comic panels into four lexias by naming them based on the logic of meaning, not chronology. In the lexia you will find code categories used as sign dynamic rules according to Barthes based on the perception and culture of the users as interpreters including hermeneutic codes, semimic or semantic codes, symbolic codes, proairetic or action codes, and cultural codes. The code becomes the main reference showing the context in the form of a persuasive message from a Ponds Men commercial advertisement. The context of being funny can be visualized with aspects of character shape, cartoon-style expressions that are simple and simple. The supporting theory is in the form of relays and intertextuality from Julia Kristeva to review the performance of the tagging system based on caption text in the form of titles and descriptions in the Instagram Tahilalats column. This research presents revitalization process of Lau Pahikung weaving through fashion design products aimed for urban communities. The research process uses a qualitative research approach with the ATUMICS and Trend Forecasting methods that being done in sustainable way. The product uses the main material of Lau Pahikung weaving which is processed in ecofriendly way so that the selection of material combinations also considered sustainable materials, namely denim material from the Badjatex label which already has an environmentally friendly fabric production certificate. The process resulting ready-to-wear fashion collection titled Denim Revolution, a collection which inspired from the basic form of Sumbanese traditional cloth using Lau Pahikung and other sustainable material for the preservation of Lau Pahikung woven. Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School has implemented a distance learning policy since 2020 until now. In July 2021, Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School has carried out face-to-face learning which requires some preparation, especially in implementing health protocols in schools. Graphic marking is one of the technical tools supporting the implementation of health protocols. The design of graphic markings supporting health protocols should also pay attention to the area whereit is embedded because it is related to the activities of the user population of the place. This design aims to conceptualize and apply graphic markings of health protocols at Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School which refers to the character of the area. Analysis of existing problems is carried out using qualitative data, based on observations, interviews, and literature searches related to the problems faced by Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School. The results of the analysis are then realized in the form of design implementation and application at Daarut Tauhiid Boarding School. Tessellation is creating a two-dimensional plane using geometric elements that are repeated without gaps and overlaps. Dutch graphic artist Maurits Cornelis successfully created tessellation using non-geometric shapes. It has four techniques in its manufacture: translation, reflection, rotation, and glide reflection. Previous studies have carried out the development of the rotation Escher technique with the inspiration of Indonesian fabrics. Still, the results of processing the motifs have not been optimal. So that further research is needed with proper processing to be able to produce more diverse motifs. The Escher rotation technique has special mathematical calculations and uses a different basic form. This study aims to create variations of non-geometric plane motif modules with tessellation compositions using the Escher rotation technique. This study brings Madura batik motifs that also have organic visual similarities and are geometric patterns with the Escher tessellation technique to provide more aesthetic value to the motif work. This study uses a qualitative method by conducting a literature study on the theory of rotation Escher, visual observation of objects in the rotation Escher technique, and Madura Batik fabrics. The next step is to process the motifs digitally using the Escher rotation technique with the inspiration of Madura Batik cloth. The final result is a variation in the shape of the motif in the form of a modification of the Escher rotation technique with visual details of the flora of chickens, peacocks, birds, fish, and flowers to have local content. Flexy banners are made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) which is a derivative of plastic material that is difficult to break down into a serious pile of waste if ignored. Flexy banner waste can turn into a product that has functional and aesthetic values. Utilization of flexy banner waste as a bond and aesthetic element in rattan furniture is the focus of this research. This research uses the design thinking method and the ATUMICS theoretical approach as a reference for modernizing a traditional work. Perform tensile testing on the flexy banner (China), to determine the degree of elongation. Flexy banner material can be folded 2 to 4 times, to minimized the elongation.
