This work supports the design and configuration of small wireless sensor networks (WSN) used to supply real time environmental and context related data to emergency response applications specifically in the domain of civil defense. This integrated system is advocated to enhance the quality and the scope of automated individual and group decision making in emergency preparedness and response applications. The conceptual framework is firstly presented after a brief definition of the problem and requirements. Then the solution developed for the design and configuration of the WSN is succinctly described. It consists of eliciting the sensing requirements translated into the homogenous sensor node specifications, localizing these sensor nodes using a preplanning process and configuring them prior to their deployment. The configuration characteristics of the homogenous and heterogeneous sensor nodes are presented in terms of policy settings for the definition of the WSN architecture. Multi-group analysis, measurement invariance approach and confirmatory factor analysis were used as a methodology to determine the impacts of the moderating effects. Results indicated that gender had no significant interacting effect in the use of ERP systems whereas users' level of education was found more significant across all levels of comparison. Theoretically, this study contributes to the scanty literature of the impact of moderating factors in the technological innovations' acceptance and use. Methodologically, this study gives a systematic step by step approach in the determination of the impacts of the moderating effects on the independent variables' influence to the mediating and dependent variables that is being evaded by many researchers. The qualitative factors are quantified, allowing us to study passengers' panic in a probabilistic manner. Considering the time-varying nature of these factors, we update the state of the factors over time. We utilize a dynamic Bayesian network (DBN) to model passengers' panic, this allows us to represent probabilistic and dynamic elements. By defining several worst-case scenarios and running the simulations, we demonstrate how panic can dynamically vary from passenger to passenger with different physical (mental) conditions. Furthermore, we show how this panic can threaten passengers' health during the evacuation process. The impact of panic on the evacuation time is also investigated. Taking into consideration the cloud computing bank with a somehow commercial nature, the non availability of resources, such as liquidity risk, remains. This is why we propose, through this paper, the discussion of the possibilities of predicting such a risk by the means so far applied in economy. This work suggests a method used in stock management to predict liquidity risk and proposes a model inspired from fluid mechanic to reduce such a risk. The model is an application of Bernoulli and Torricelli theorems. The resources bank can be considered as a reservoir of liquid; therefore the availability of resources depends necessarily on the liquid flow velocity and the replacement. This paper proposes a novel TV logo recognition algorithm, which is composed of three steps. Firstly, the real time TV logo region is detected by multiple frame accumulation. Then, the Smallest Univalue Segment Assimilating Nucleus (SUSAN) algorithm is presented to extract corners within the detected logo regions. Finally, corner matching is carried out to recognize the type of the test TV logo. The proposed method is validated by several TV channels in China.
