The poems are analyzed in detail and in relation with one another to highlight Eliot’s understanding of man’s relationship with nature through an elemental, ecomythical, and ecoreligious study. Starting from the purpose of our research, two objectives were pursued, namely to identify the challenges and opportunities of the personal assistant position and to analyze the parents’ perception regarding the decision to become a personal assistant. The study was designed as a qualitative research approach, the interview method was considered the most appropriate to serve the research objectives. The research took place in a day center that offers recovery services to children with disabilities in Timișoara (Romania), the subjects of our research being exclusively mothers. The research revealed that the decision to become a personal assistant for the child with disabilities is dictated by the affection for the child and the sense of duty towards him as a parent, despite the financial well-being previously ensured by a well-paid job. What impacts the respondents’ lives is not the new job, but the confrontation with the child’s disability. If in some cases the disability was accepted relatively easily, the parents offering each other support, the level of cohesion increasing and benefiting of help from the extended family, we also identified a situation where the family fell apart. The founding fathers, too, were all but unanimous. Peirce was not in agreement with James on many issues. Dewey, in turn, did not like various aspects of both Peirce’s and James’ philosophy, while C.I. Lewis’ views on logic were quite different from those held by Dewey. It should not be surprising, then, to find the same amount of disagreement in contemporary neo-pragmatism, where Rescher and Rorty, who both define themselves pragmatists, display different opinions on most subjects. A cross-sectional survey design was adopted to guide data collection. The participants were one hundred and ninety eight first year students (198) at one university. Quantitative data was obtained using Stress Questionnaire. Inferential analysis by use of independent t-test was used to test hypothesis. The findings indicated that there are significant gender differences in stressful experiences on academic demands, psychological and social relationship and financial difficulties among the first year university students. From a diachronic historical process, we are in a synchronic one. All cultures are to be considered at the same level. To reach this purpose three questions were raised: Do libraries help with prisoners’ informal learning, rehabilitation and reintegration in KCS? Are the prisoners willing to loan books from prison libraries? Do prison libraries in Kosovo offer enough books in different languages for prisoners who come from different ethnic and religious backgrounds? This research is presented through qualitative data, a literature review and interviews as instruments of the research dedicated to prison libraries within KCS and their effect on prisoners’ wellbeing and education. The study results showed that prison libraries impact positively the lives of the incarcerated population while they are paying their debts to society in Kosovo prisons for the crimes committed. In a few decades, with the seeming success of the drug court in helping AOD defendants achieve sobriety while reducing recidivism, the drug court model has achieved international prominence as well. This paper discusses a pilot study which seeks to analyze the feasibility of connecting a website, drughelp.care, developed at the host institution of the co-authors, to the everyday operations of local drug courts. PTM merupakan penyebab tingginya angka morbiditas dan mortalitas di seluruh dunia. Resiko PTM dapat terjadi pada semua kelompok umur termasuk remaja. Tujuan penelitian: Untuk mengetahui faktor risiko penyakit tidak menular pada siswa MAN 02 Mukomuko. Metode: Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi adalah siswa MAN 02 Mukomuko dengan 96 sampel diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Djamil Padang Tahun 2021","authors":"Suharni Suharni, Irwan Triansyah, Mayang Lestari","doi":"10.56260/sciena.v1i3.95","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.56260/sciena.v1i3.95","url":null,"abstract":"Latar belakang : Otitis media supuratif kronis (OMSK) adalah suatu radang kronis di mukosa telinga tengah dan cavum mastoid yang ditandai dengan perforasi membran timpani serta riwayat lebih dari dua bulan keluar cairan dari telinga (otore), OMSK dibagi menjadi 2 tipe, tipe aman dan bahaya, penanganan yang tidak adekuat serta adanya resistensi terhadap antibiotik membuat salah satu penanganan OMSK yang banyak dilakukan adalah operasi, agar terhindar dari komplikasi. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui karakteristik penderita Otitis Media Supuratif Kronis yang menjalani operasi di RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang pada tahun 2021. Metode : Ruang lingkup penelitian ini adalah bidang ilmu kedokteran penyakit telinga hidung dan tenggorokan. Penelitian dilakukan pada November sampai dengan Desember tahun 2022. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif. Populasi terjangkau pada penelitian adalah pasien yang menjalani tindakan operasi yang di diagnosis otitis media supuratif kronik di RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang sebanyak 57 sampel dengan teknik total sampling. Analisa data univariat disajikan dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi dan pengolahan data menggunakan komputerisasi program SPSS versi IBM 25.0. Hasil : Distribusi karakteristik penderita OMSK yang menjalani operasi terbanyak adalah, usia remaja akhir 24 orang (42,1%), jenis kelamin laki-laki 32 orang (56,1%), tipe OMSK adalah tipe aman 31 orang (54,4%), jenis operasi timpanoplasti 31 orang (54,4%), dan indeks massa tubuh normal yaitu 30 orang (52,6%).
