Thus avoiding voltage collapse and maintaining power system stability are main concerns for power system operators and utilities. Flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) are modern technologies which can increase power system stability, improve voltage profile and can increase real power transfer, by controlling different parameter like impedance, voltage, and angle of power system, however there optimal allocation and sizing in power system network is important to gain maximum benefits and to control power flow in efficient manners. This paper presents a method for optimal allocation and sizing of FACTS devices. Two type of FACTS devices are selected, thyristor controlled series compensator (TCSC) and shunt VAR compensator (SVC). TCSCs can control impedance of the line while SVCs can control bus voltages. For optimal allocation of these devices weak lines and weak buses are determined using Fast voltage stability index (FVSI) and voltage collapse proximity index (VCPI). Lines with higher values of FVSI are considered as optimal locations for TCSC placements, similarly buses with VCPI value close to unity are considered as weak buses and optimal locations for SVC placement. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) with objective to reduce real power losses and voltage deviations is utilized to find optimal rating of these devices. The technique is applied on IEEE 14 bus test system. Results shows significant reduction in real power losses and improvement in voltage profile.","PeriodicalId":304208,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Applied and Engineering Mathematics (ICAEM)","volume":"112 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123788287","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the rapid increase in the usage of digital devices, Digital Investigations became essential while dealing with deleted, hidden, modified, tempered or stolen documents either in case of an incident or a digital crime. In windows, registry is the core component that keeps track of almost all applications. In this paper, a novel study is carried out specifically on Microsoft Word to figure out its forensics artifacts in Windows 10 registry. The registry locations identified as a result provide clues about a user's interaction with Microsoft Word. These clues not only provide information about documents that currently exist but most importantly about deleted documents as well.","PeriodicalId":304208,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Applied and Engineering Mathematics (ICAEM)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115655180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its properties largely depends on type of loading (compressive or tensile), temperature, frequency, amplitude etc. The objective of this paper is to show meaningful relation between viscoelastic properties of OGDEN type material solid like rubber under dynamic cyclic loading. Sinusoidal loading is applied to determine stress-strain behavior over time, stress relaxation, and residual stresses. Generally, viscoelastic material gives nonlinear response, but typically it gives minor linear relation initially due to elastic behavior. Material response is visualized at different amplitude of cyclic loading.","PeriodicalId":304208,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Applied and Engineering Mathematics (ICAEM)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131078929","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But in real time applications, this assumption is not always true. Two sorts of Kalman Filtering techniques i.e Augmented Kalman Filtering and Second Moment Information bases Kalman Filtering with colored system noise i.e (process noise and observation noise) are examined in this paper. Augmented Kalman Filtering (AKF) with colored measurement noise is shortly analyzed. Modified Kalman Filtering method (SMIKF) is proposed for colored process and observation noise. In order to check the performance of the system a real-time Mass-Spring Damper system having colored system noises is considered. The computational burdens of the proposed scheme is compared with AKF. The simulation results endorse the Performance of the suggested algorithm.","PeriodicalId":304208,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Applied and Engineering Mathematics (ICAEM)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128462747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent research is focused to develop robust face recognition algorithms to solve the aforementioned issues with maximum effort to mimic the human vision system. This paper presents a near real-time and novel face recognition method to recognize the occluded and low-resolution face images. Proposed face recognition algorithm initially uses 68 points to locate a face in the input image. Meanwhile, the adaptive boosting and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) are used to extract face features. In the final stage, classic nearest centre classifier is used for face classification. Detailed experiments are performed on two publicly available LFW and the AR databases. Simulation results reveal that the proposed method outperforms recent state-of-the-art face recognition algorithms by producing high recognition rate.","PeriodicalId":304208,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Applied and Engineering Mathematics (ICAEM)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133752623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In proposed method, conventional and fuzzy logic controllers are incorporated by using vector control technique. This method improves the response of induction motor by combining the advantages of conventional and fuzzy logic controllers. The conventional PID controllers have some limitations. These controllers are usually uncertain in case of load and parameters variations. To overcome these limitations, a Fuzzy-Supervisory controller has been designed which selects the three gains i.e. Kp, Ki and Kd of the PID controller. Rules of the fuzzy controller have been defined to calculate the optimal range of gains values. Simulation results of conventional PID controller are compared along with Fuzzy supervisory controller in terms of several performance measurements such as settling time (Ts), rise time (Tr) and maximum percent overshoot (Mp) at numerous load conditions. The simulation results verified the effectiveness of the proposed Fuzzy Supervisory controller under different operating conditions.","PeriodicalId":304208,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Applied and Engineering Mathematics (ICAEM)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130497765","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different mathematical models representing this system are presented. MATLAB is used for solution and simulation of each of these models. On the basis of credible experimental data, comparison of these models is done. The results show that the system of glucose-insulin is better described by nonlinear Bergman's model than the linear model. Furthermore, utilizing fractional calculus, integer order nonlinear Bergman's model is modified to fractional order model. It is shown through simulations and comparison of data that the modified fractional order nonlinear Bergman's minimal model gives better representation compared to the integer order nonlinear model.","PeriodicalId":304208,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Applied and Engineering Mathematics (ICAEM)","volume":"172 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122067440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To establish the applicability of technique a Fano resonator metamaterial is designed that supports response in EM and acoustics regime. The acoustic wave interaction with metamaterial exhibit exclusive negative band of effective bulk density (Peff). On the other hand, electromagnetic wave interaction with metamaterial gives negative band of effective permittivity ($epsilon_{text{eff}}$).
