The combination of role-playing video games and massively multiplayer online games that enable youth to interact in virtual world has made this game as one of the most popular online games in this era. This study focused on factors that influence the youth in MMORPGs. The main focus of this quantitative study is the youth at the range of 15 to 30 years old who actively play online games through Facebook by using purposive sampling method. A total of 50 respondents were willingly answered the questionnaire and duration to complete the survey was around one month. From the result, this study shows that there are two factors which are internal and external factors that influence the participation in MMORGPs among youth. Stress reliever, excitement, addiction, source of income and the attempt to escape from reality are some internal factors that influence youth to involve themselves in MMORGPs. As for the external factor, this study found that social influences such as social interaction, social control and mass media had played a huge role. The findings of this study can be used as a future reference for in-depth studies that should focus more on the effects of involvement of youth in MMORGPs.","PeriodicalId":30344,"journal":{"name":"Journal of TechnoSocial","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49430255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, the employees continue to suffer harassment in every part of the world. The SDGs' objective is to ensure that there is an end to every issue. Undeniably, many governments andorganizations claim to be tackling workplace harassment, and there are still a few billion employees who are the victims of harassment. This issue will not be solved unless awareness is given and policies introduced; therefore, the purpose of this paper is to investigate the level of awareness in the Malaysian government and private organizations. A research instrument, namely, a questionnaire, was used for 150 respondents and yielded a response rate of 52% (78). The results revealed that the work environment is concerned about safety matters for the workforce and has an adequate level of awareness on sexual harassment; therefore, the correlation tests revealed a significant correlation between workplace environment and awareness of sexual harassment among Malaysian staff. In conclusion, the organization should enforce the policy to establish a more conducive workplace favorable to the employees.","PeriodicalId":30344,"journal":{"name":"Journal of TechnoSocial","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46221178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The series of books explore Anne's life from a girl to a charming pretty young lady. In the story, Anne is portrayed as an inquisitive young girl. She explores her life philosophically. She also explores many aspects of nature and its relation to science. Her inquisitiveness is extremelysharp, that the skill helps her in learning the science of everyday life. The paper discusses Anne of the Green Gables' use in educating female students to enjoy STEM education. At present, the proportion of women engineers in Malaysia is disproportionate, and the Ministry of Education is working on inculcating female students' effervescence in STEM subjects. The methodological framework utilised in this study adhered to the approach of the phenomenological case study's paradigm. Interviews were conducted,and qualitative data were gathered and analysed using Atlas.ti, a qualitative data analysis software. The findings indicated that female students could draw links between themselves and Anne, the protagonist in the novels. The protagonist's various occupational explorations helped female students understand that they can excel in STEM and arouse their interests to become scientists or engineers. In conclusion, the use of literary texts written by female authors such as Anne of Green Gables could draw attention from female students towards STEM. This study fills the gap in the existing literature where no scholars have used the classic Anne of Green Gables to illicit interests among young female students.","PeriodicalId":30344,"journal":{"name":"Journal of TechnoSocial","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46727391","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various problems that arise among Muslims about the teachings of the Syariat, some are compliant with the Syariat and some are violate it to the point of cornering Islam in the eyes of other religions. While infact other samawi religions also have syariat teachings that are not much different from the Islamic teachings that we follow. Therefore, this study aims to identify the concept of samawi religious teachings according to Will Durant through his work The Story of Civilization so that the similarities and differences between the religions can be indentified. Another goal in this study is that every application of the law that concerning the application of religious law is actually not only Islam, but in reality inother samawi religions, the Shari'a has been set which is not much different. The methodology of this study is qualitative through the method of literature and content analysis design of the book The Story of Civilazation. This study found that there are similarities in the concepts of the teachings of the samawi religion (Jewish, Christian/Christian and Islamic). Although some concepts the teachings of the syariat are not explained in detail by Will Durant on some religions, as he is more focused on history, politics and the concept of faith. Another goal is that every application of the law that leads to the application of Islamic law is actually not only Islam but in essence other divine religions have also been stipulated by the Shari'a which is not much different. This research proves this. It explores the experience of language educators on the newly implemented policy by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia. The implementation of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is a policy that develops through a whole continuum: from primary schools to universities. The paper fills the gap in terms of impact studies of the CEFR especially on engineering programmes where the desired CEFR levels are higher. This implementation affects language educators at university in various domains such as the required CEFR levels for language educators, teaching materials and support systems. The methodological framework used in this study is phenomenological study. It aims to explore the experience of the language educators. Interviews were conducted on three language educators teaching engineering programmes at a private university. Snowballing technique was used in identifying the research interviewees. Data gathered were analysed using Atlas.Ti, a qualitative analysis software. Preliminary result indicates that language educators were positive and welcome enthusiastically the change. However, challenges were immense and critical. This paper concludes that the implementation of the CEFR is a wise move for Malaysian students towards a higher level of proficiency in English.","PeriodicalId":30344,"journal":{"name":"Journal of TechnoSocial","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42183764","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pearl millet has high medicinal value and its consumption reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes, constipation, and anemia. Pearl millets are an excellent source of protein and fiber, and a great source of starch, making it a high-energy food. It is an exceptional food source for babies from six months of age because it has high nutrients and is easily digestible. Pearl millet is the most widely cultivated millet varieties in the world. The cereal crop is grown in arid, infertile, marginal lands in Africa and Asia, and cope with unpredictable climatic conditions. Nigeria is the second-largest producer of pearl millet in the world with a tremendous amount of pearl millet diversity. However, there is growing recognition that the diversity of pearl millet in northern Nigeria is vastly diminishing thereby affecting the livelihood of smallholder farmers. The study examines the hullabaloos surrounding the too generous and committed nature of Nigerian foreign policy which has canvassed for varieties of opinions on the need for the country to adjust her foreign policy objectives. The study indicates that if there is need for Nigeria to adjust her foreign policy objectives towards Africa, it should be more favourable and not the other way round due to numerous unforeseen benefits. The study adopts role theory to describe the position and responsibility shouldered by Nigeria in Africa. As against the position opined by antagonists on the amendment of Nigerian foreign policy’s objectives, the theory explains that some benefits are either tangible or intangible forms. This study is qualitative that adopts both primary and secondary sources of data. The respondents consisted of 100 Malaysian youths who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. A questionnaire on a scale of 1 to 5 Likert has been used to get feedback. The results showed that the products in each study build achieved acceptable reliability with a Cronbach Alpha value higher than 0.70 and met the requirements for a normality test. The data is then processed using the appropriate EFA grouping of constructive items. The results have identified four main components of Malaysian youth environmental sustainability knowledge from 69 questionnaire items, namely lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere. This finding also meets the requirements of the specified index value (Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin and Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity). This proves that these four components should be considered in the development of instruments to assess the environmental sustainability knowledge index among Malaysian youths.","PeriodicalId":30344,"journal":{"name":"Journal of TechnoSocial","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49258891","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
