Kasım-Aralık 2022 tarihleri arasında yapılan çalışmada veriler Kişisel Özellikler Bilgi Formu ve Kadının Meme Kanseri Önleme Davranışlarını Etkileyen Faktörleri Belirleme Ölçeği kullanılarak yüz yüze görüşme yöntemi ile elde edildi. Veriler iki ortalama arasındaki farkın önemlilik testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılarak değerlendirildi. \u0000Bulgular: Çalışmada Kadının Meme Kanseri Önleme Davranışlarını Etkileyen Faktörleri Belirleme Ölçeği puanı 103.09±16.08 olarak bulundu. Bu artış ile sağlık profesyonellerinin de palyatif bakım hizmetlerinin niteliklerine verdikleri önem artmaktadır. Bakım felsefesi olarak palyatif bakım, üst düzeyde yapılandırılmış sistematik bakım verme modelidir. Dünya’da palyatif bakım gelişmekte olan bir disiplin olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bununla beraber palyatif bakım hizmetleri kendini hızlı bir şekilde sağlık sistemine entegre etmiştir. Palyatif bakım sistemleri ülkeler arası farklılık gösterse de temelde 3 yaklaşıma sahiptir. İlk sırada hastane temelli palyatif bakım ikinci sırada ev temelli palyatif bakım üçüncü sırada ise toplum temelli bakım hizmetleri karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Türkiye’de ise palyatif bakım hizmetlerinin büyük çoğunluğu devlet tarafından desteklenen hastanelerde yürütülmektedir. Hastanelerin belirli servislerinde ya da onkoloji kliniklerinde sunulmaktadır. {"title":"The Effect of Clean Intermittent Catheterization-Based Nursing Interventions on the Knowledge, Skill, Coping, Adaptation, Anxiety in Caregivers and Infection in Children: A Randomized Controlled Study Protocol","authors":"Canan Sari, B. Demirbag","doi":"10.54061/jphn.1209806","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.54061/jphn.1209806","url":null,"abstract":"Objective: To explore the effect of clean intermittent catheterization training based on android application-supported Roy Adaptation Model (RAMTAKE) given by nurses to caregivers on their knowledge, skills, coping, adaptation and anxiety levels and the development of infection in the child. Material and Method: The study is a single-center, single-blind, prospective, randomized controlled trial. This randomized controlled trial was reported according to SPRIT. The sample of the study consisted of 42 patients and their caregivers who underwent clean intermittent catheterization in a university hospital. Participants were divided into two separate groups, experimental and control, by simple random sampling method. Participants in the experimental group will be given RAMTAKE, and after being discharged from the hospital, home visits and telephone counseling will be applied by the researchers. The caregivers in the control group will not be subjected to any intervention by the researchers and will be provided with routine clean intermittent catheterization training in the hospital. Study data will be collected using The knowledge, skill level of the caregiver, The Roy Adaptation Model (RAM) psychosocial adaptation areas scale, Coping and Adaptation Scale, The State/Trait Anxiety Scale and UTI development in children. Knowledge, skills, coping, adaptation and anxiety levels of caregivers in both groups will be measured three times. In addition, after discharge from the hospital, children in both groups will be tested for urine culture three times with an interval of one month. Researchers will not interfere with caregivers during the data collection and urine culture analysis phase of the study. Results: How beneficial clean intermittent catheterization is for children who cannot urinate on their own is quite clear. However, the effect of RAMTAKE knowledge/skills, anxiety level and coping/adaptation of the caregivers and the development of infection in children is yet unknown. Within the scope of the study, it is aimed that the knowledge/skills, coping and adaptation levels of the caregivers who receive RAMTAKE will increase and their anxiety level will decrease. In addition, it is thought that the frequency of urinary tract infection will decrease in the children of caregivers who receive RAMTAKE. Yöntem: Kesitsel tipte yapılan çalışmanın örneklemini Türkiye’nin Doğu Karadeniz bölgesinde yer alan bir üniversitede öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturdu (n=425). Veriler; araştırmacılar tarafından 5 Aralık 2022-3 Şubat 2023 tarihleri arasında Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Üçüncü El Sigara Dumanı Hakkında Farkındalık Ölçeği ve Karar Verme Dengesi Ölçeği ile toplandı. Verilerin analizinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler, pearson korelasyon ve çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 20.11±2.03 (min=18, max=33) olup, %24.5’i erkekti. Öğrencilerin %31.3’ünün sigara kullandığı belirlendi. Öğrencilerin Üçüncü El Sigara Dumanı Hakkında Farkındalık Ölçeği puan ortalamasının 36.78±8.41 ve Karar Verme Dengesi Ölçeği toplam puan ortalamasının -12.56±12.55 olduğu saptandı. Çalışmanın verileri 07/10/2021 – 01/01/2022 tarihleri arasında hemşirelerden gönüllü onam formları alınarak ve hemşireler ile yüz yüze görüşülerek araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan hemşireleri tanımlayıcı Sosyo-demografik Özellikler Veri Formu, Kanser Taramalarına Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği ve Kadercilik Eğilimi Ölçeği ile toplandı. Verilerin analizinde; tanımlayıcı istatistikler (ortalama, standart sapma, minimum, medyan, maksimum), Spearman korelasyon analizi, Mann Whitney U testi ve Kruskal Wallis testi kullanıldı. Capik","doi":"10.54061/jphn.1249596","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.54061/jphn.1249596","url":null,"abstract":"Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between care burden and hopelessness levels of parents with children with epilepsy. \u0000Methods: The sample of this descriptive and correlational study consisted of 384 parents with children diagnosed with epilepsy between the ages of 0-18. The data of the study were collected in the Pediatric Neurology and General Pediatric Outpatient Clinics of Health Sciences University Van Training and Research Hospital between October 2017 and January 2018. Socio-demographic Data Form, Zarit Care Burden Scale and Beck Hopelessness Scale were used to collect the data. \u0000Results: In the study, it was determined that the mean care burden score of the parents was moderate (40±9.63) and the mean hopelessness score was mild (7.97±4.43). It was determined that the participants' educational status, income status and the presence of another person in need of care in the family significantly affected both care burden and hopelessness levels. A significant positive correlation was found between the duration of diagnosis, the number of hospitalisations, the duration of care and the time spent on care in a day and care burden and hopelessness. In addition, a significant positive relationship was found between caregiving burden and hopelessness. \u0000Conclusion: As the care burden of parents increases, the level of hopelessness also increases. Public health nurses working in Family Health Centres and nurses working in clinics should support families with children with epilepsy physically, socially and spiritually. The sample of the study consisted of 253 elderly individuals. The study was completed with 204 individuals who admitted to the family health center at the specified dates and agreed to participate in the study. In the data collection, Quality of Life in Elderly Scale and Health Literacy Scale, and Sociodemographic Questionnaire, which was developed by the researcher, were used. Data were analyzed with arithmetic mean, standard deviation, independent groups t-test, ANOVA, Welch ANOVA, Bonferroni and the correlation tests. \u0000Results: It was determined that 59.3% of the elderly who participated in the research were male, 61.3% were primary school graduates, 66.7% were individuals who did not read, and 54.9% described their health status as good. The mean Quality of Life in the Elderly Scale score was 20.73±9.51, and the Health Literacy Scale mean score was 46.90±9.21. The data were collected with the “Questionnaire on COVID-19 Disease” prepared by the researchers. In the study, ethical approval, institutional permission, and informed consent from participants were obtained for the study. \u0000Results: The participants’ mean scores for COVID-19 general knowledge (11.85±2.29), and for their knowledge of preventive practices (25.00±3.42) and behaviours (84.85±10.33) against COVID-19 were found to be at a good level.
