The network nodes using the traditional full network coding have to wait the arrival of other data packets for coding, which increase the network delay. This paper proposed the ORPNC (Opportunistic Routing based on Partial Network Coding) protocol, which combining partial network coding with opportunistic routing to decrease the network coding delays and improve the network stability. Meanwhile, a new forwarding strategy -- ETXEC is designed, and the forwarding node is selected according to current link status and node residual energy during designing candidate set for forwarding. The simulation results show that network delay could be reduced by about 25%. The energy consumption of network node could be well balanced through using ETXEC forwarding strategy, and the network stability could be further improved.","PeriodicalId":302503,"journal":{"name":"2012 Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121789853","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The obtained results are: (1) We found twelve host search (HS) attacks in the scores for detection method using the calculated Euclidean distances between the observed IP address and the last observed IP address in the DNS query keywords by employing both threshold ranges of 1.0-2.0 (consecutive) and 150.2-210.4 (random). However, we found nineteen HS attacks in the scores using the calculated cosine distance between the DNS query IP addresses (threshold ranges of 0.75-0.83 and 0.9-1.0). (3) In the newly found HS attacks, we observed that the source IP addresses of the HS attack DNS query packets are distributed. Therefore, it can be concluded that the cosine distance based detection technology has a possibility to detect the source IP address-distributed host search attack.","PeriodicalId":302503,"journal":{"name":"2012 Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121921868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In real applications, high-dimensional data is difficult to interpret as it requires more dimensions to represent. As a dimension reduction method, manifold learning provides an explicit representation for the useful implicit information hidden in the original feature space. But the internal topological and differential structure has disappeared in the dimensionality reduction process. In order to investigate the topological and differential structure of a data set, we introduce boundary compactness, which is used to study the shape of the data set in the original high-dimensional feature space. Beginning with the Delaunay graph (for 3D data) or the complete graph (for data of higher dimensions), we select the edges based on the boundary compactness to make the relevance graph. The relevance graph is then used to reconstruct the surface of the data. Experiments show that the introduced technique based on the boundary compactness works well for data of 3D or higher dimensions.","PeriodicalId":302503,"journal":{"name":"2012 Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114920357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unlike conventional Fibonacci step-up converter, the proposed converter can provide not only stepped-up voltages but also stepped-down voltages, where the k-Fibonacci ratios such as Tribonacci numbers, Tetranacci numbers, etc. are demonstrated by using the minimum number of capacitors. Concerning conversion ratios, output voltages and power efficiency, the properties of the proposed converter are investigated by theoretical analysis and simulations. Through simulation program with integrated circuit emphasis (SPICE) simulations and theoretical analysis, the following results are shown: 1. The simulation results show that the proposed converter can achieve not only higher step-up/step-down conversion ratios but also more various kinds of output voltages than conventional converters. 2. The theoretical formula obtained from the theoretical analysis is proved as an effective method for estimating the characteristic of the proposed converter, because the theoretical results corresponded well with the SPICE simulated results.","PeriodicalId":302503,"journal":{"name":"2012 Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123087817","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Rehabilitation is one of the ways for people to keep and recover physical functions that are needed in daily life. The rehabilitation is generally performed by a physical therapist or an occupational therapist in a hospital or rehabilitation facility. Recently, the number of therapists has been insufficient because the number of elderly people has increased. We have been studying a robot system to help with the instruction of rehabilitation processes. The instruction robot not only can show a patient how to perform an exercise, but also can evaluate the accuracy of the patient's exercise. In addition, the robot advises the patient how to correct his/her posture if the exercise is incorrect. The rehabilitation instruction robot advises the patient to correct his/her exercises by both the computer-generated voice and the correct exercise shown by the robot. Depending on the contents of rehabilitation exercises, it is difficult to advise a patient in words which body site to correct or how to correct his body site. In this paper, we improve the correct motion advice by superimposing an instructor model created by computer graphics (CG) onto the video image of the patient. Furthermore, the system displays the CG part of the patient body site of the incorrect exercise with a different color. By combining a verbal advice and a visual advice, the system is able to give a patient an easily understandable advice.","PeriodicalId":302503,"journal":{"name":"2012 Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Networks and Intelligent Systems","volume":"23 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125928989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
