The causality of gait freezing is still not fully understood. The histogram of gait freezing is the key assessment of the disease, thus monitoring them in patients' daily life is much appreciated. A real-time signal processing platform for wearable sensors can help record freezing time instances. However, current monitor systems are calibrated with offline training (patient-dependent) that is cumbersome and time-consuming. In this work, by using acceleration data and spectral analysis, we propose an online/real-time detection technique. Periods of low acceleration and low spectral coherence are identified and patient-independent parameters are then extracted. Using this set of new features, we validated our method by comparing it with clinicians' labels. The proposed approach achieved an overall mean (±SD) sensitivity (specificity) of 87 ± 0.3% (94±0.3%). To our best knowledge, this is the best performance for automated subject-independent approaches.","PeriodicalId":301780,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127955683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to detect a wide variety of attacks, a complete distributed multi-agent system is proposed. However, it requires the software installation in all hosts. The lack of resources also makes it hard to introduce the system to the devices. In this paper, we design a distributed defense algorithm employing a multi-agent system. However, it is hard to detect the wide and shallow attacks such as horizontal portscan and if the systems is completely distributed. Therefore, we need to watch for the whole network in order to detect such attacks. Here, it is proposed to combine the system with OpenFlow which is suitable for having an overall network view. In general, however, OpenFlow has a central control system which is not scalable. Thus, we also propose to use several OpenFlow controllers and share information among them. By sharing information, we show that it is possible to detect a horizontal portscan.","PeriodicalId":301780,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114326192","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, it is difficult to guarantee the self-sustainability of each sensor. Researchers in areas of energy conservation and energy harvesting have been consecutively developing new methods to increase the lifetime of a sensor. One of the methods is the Adaptive Sampling Algorithm (ASA). This is an effective algorithm to reduce the wasted sampling energy by using optimal sampling rate for monitoring. In this paper, we propose two advanced Adaptive Sampling Algorithms, Resuscitation Adaptive Sampling Algorithm (RASA), and Compensation Adaptive Sampling Algorithm (CASA). And also we propose the Adaptive Sensor Management Scheme (ASMS) to apply ASA, CASA and RASA according to the energy state of sensors. RASA is the algorithm to set low sampling rate and guarantee the self-sustainability when energy sate of sensors is too low. Sensor nodes in CASA can be recharged some energy by saving the consumption energy when the harvesting quality is good. ASMS scheme combines with these two algorithms. ASMS scheme classifies the sensors of WSN into three classes according to the Current energy state and Current energy harvesting quality. Nodes in each class can be applied different optimal sampling rate to achieve the self-sustainability. To prove the efficiency of proposed algorithms, we setup the micro dust air pollution application consisted of Arduino Uno, Zigbee and dust sensor and simulate through MATLAB. Simulation shows that ASMS can save consumption energy maximum 50% and guarantee the genuine self-sustainability of nodes. And also we compare ASMS with existing ASA.","PeriodicalId":301780,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130434528","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More specifically, collecting and visualizing visibility information about both physical & virtual (p+v) types of resources is one of key requirement for multi-site cloud operators. However, most existing visualization tools fall short in effectively providing the p+v topological visualization of multi-site cloud infrastructure. When SF in the chain fails, the corresponding traffic flows cannot be processed further to reach the destination until the failed SF recovers. To cope with the SF failure, failover mechanisms to instantly recover such failed SFs are mandatory. In this paper, we propose a distributed SF failover mechanism where a distributed failover agent (DFA) located along with each SF instance conducts failure detection/recovery of the failed SF. By doing so, the failed SFs can be recovered without interventions of the centralized SFC controller. Simulation results are shown that the distributed SF failover mechanism significantly reduces the average failover time by 56–76% compared to the centralized SF failover mechanism.","PeriodicalId":301780,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124466730","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, because decryption under a wrong key produces fake but valid-looking messages to everyone, typos in password may confuse even legitimate users in HE. This has been one of the most challenging problems in HE. In this paper, we propose two types of protocols that enable legitimate users to detect the typos in a password. We compare and analyze the performance and security of each scheme. The analysis results show that the proposed schemes can effectively solve the typos problem in HE while providing message recovery security.","PeriodicalId":301780,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125488267","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Then, the group leader can download Point Of Interests' (POIs') data from the content server through 3G/3.5G/4G cellular network and then forward those downloaded data to the connected clients using Wi Fi. That is, the group leader also plays the role of a mobile proxy. Nevertheless, mobile users may move randomly such that they may leave their current group leader and move toward the other group leader. This work proposed a handoff mechanism such that mobile users can move from the currently connected Wi Fi hot spot, for which the received signal strength is becoming weak, and to a new Wi Fi hot spot/mobile proxy, for which the received signal strength is becoming stronger. Since the current handheld device only allows a limited number of handheld devices to connect with its Wi Fi hot spot, it is not so straightforward to tackle the handoff issue. This work devised a K-CAMP clustering scheme to tackle the handoff issue exists in the aforementioned group-based touring scenario.","PeriodicalId":301780,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123677634","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently, as new demands on the cellular network have appeared from emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things, latency reduction has become a key challenge to supporting emerging technologies and satisfying user expectations. Although latency reduction in the cellular network is a traditional issue that has been studied in various respects, the latency of the LTE/LTE-A radio access network has been undervalued and investigated by very few studies. In short, the proposed hybrid MT process is guided by the rule based MT after getting a set of partial candidate translations provided by EBMT and SMT subsystems. Previous works have shown that EBMT systems are capable of outperforming the phrase-based SMT systems and RBMT approach has the strength of generating structurally and morphologically more accurate results. This hybrid approach increases the fluency, accuracy and grammatical precision which improve the quality of a machine translation system.
