No entanto, entendemos que para sua melhor utilizacao seja necessario se discutir seus principios de validade e confiabilidade. Com base nisto, este texto se inicia com uma discussao acerca de aspectos epistemologicos e eticos associados ao uso da pesquisa qualitativa. Depois, discutimos os diferentes tipos de criterios de validade e confiabilidade pertinentes a pesquisa qualitativa. Finalmente, tais criterios sao apresentados. Esta logica e aplicada ao campo da Administracao. A busca por realizacao pessoal tem incentivado as pessoas a procurarem ferramentas que desenvolvam seus talentos e equilibrem seus esforcos, a fim de conquistarem uma vida melhor, mais feliz e saudavel. Como alternativa, o planejamento, que ate entao se detinha a uma ferramenta organizacional, hoje vem sendo igualmente utilizado pelos individuos que desejam o sucesso pessoal. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo desenvolver um modelo de Planejamento Estrategico Pessoal que contemple as diversas areas de atuacao e desempenho humano. O modelo proposto neste trabalho esta dividido em: Planejamento Individual, Planejamento Profissional, Planejamento Familiar, Planejamento de Negocios Pessoais e Planejamento da Participacao Politica, Social e Religioso/Espiritual e seus respectivos campos. Foi utilizada a pesquisa exploratoria, de natureza qualitativa, por meio da utilizacao de fontes primarias e secundarias de dados, a fim de analisar e validar o modelo. {"title":"Estratégias de crescimento e a governança de redes horizontais de empresas: o caso da maior rede cooperativa de varejo de alimentos na Alemanha","authors":"D. Wegner, Antonio Domingos Padula","doi":"10.5007/2175-8077.2011V13N30P220","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5007/2175-8077.2011V13N30P220","url":null,"abstract":"Several growth strategies may be adopted by cooperative retail networks, but these strategies create dilemmas about how to organize business networks with a large number of participants and the adjustments in the governance system that are necessary to facilitate growth. The article examines the relations between the growth strategies adopted by a horizontal business network and its governance system. We analyze the case of Edeka, a centennial cooperative network, leader in food retail in Germany, showing its growth strategies and implications for the network structure. The case study was based on various secondary data sources and focuses the whole network – and not the networked firms – as the unit of analysis. Results indicate that, in order to grow, the network changed its governance structure and the process of participation of members in decision making, creating a hierarchical structure with professional management. The paper contributes to the discussions on cooperative governance and demonstrates that governance systems are transient and adapt to the network strategies. It was found in the study that the theories concerning the management and organizational studies are fallible and remain subject to a ongoing improvement or replacement. So, one should accept the idea of the need of constant transformation and improvement of knowledge. Became evident that the studies in administration and organizations witnessed a change of paradigm when classical school of management was questioned and added of new paradigms. In that way, that field of studies has become pluralistic, with conflicts among paradigms and average science, the questions concerning their research methodologies not being different at all. In this context, the history of science can present important lessons in showing that scientific revolution was not accepted peacefully, but by means of tough discussions and apparent contradictions. Several authors sought an approach between Social Ciences and Natural. Thus, the joint use of qualitative and quantitative methodologies is more and more present in management and organizational research granting a greater legitimacy to the different manners of approaching the theme. Aiming at complementing, it also searched to identify the characteristics of the indoor entrepreneur’s behavior, in the mentioned and selected scientific production. The principles of meta-analysis of content were used. Among the main results, it is observed, as reflections needed in the field, the necessity to clarify the elements that distinguish corporative entrepreneurs from the intra entrepreneurs in the organizations. In selection processes for such opportunities, the job simulations are largely adopted by companies and human resources consultancies. Considering that this technique is a very subjective one, it’s possible for the candidates to make use of impression management. This study intends to analyze if business students resort to self-presentation strategies and tactics when they participate in this kind of selection. Additionally, it tries to identify if, according to their vision, the other competitors and the selecting companies use this resource. The empirical part of this study, that followed the literature review, consisted of a qualitative research based in a questionnaire answered by business students from two universities of Rio de Janeiro. The data treatment utilized was the content analysis. As central conclusions it is suggested that the impression management is not only used by those who answered but also by the organizations. Its origin is historically dated in the 80´s, attributed to State economic and fiscal crises that had reached many countries in that decade and was also a response to State Welfare deterioration. The answer given prescribed a set of policies that proclaimed the application of market principles and private sector logic to the Public Administration. The study has as the objective to analyze the relation between the new public model practices and the modernization and efficiency of the State administration. The specific objectives are concentrated on presenting the models of Public Administration; on identifying reforms carried through in Brazilian Public Administration until the current days; on analyzing managerial practices of the new model applied to state administration. This is an exploratory, qualitative and documentary research. Interviews had been carried out, and then, the study made use of the technique of content analysis. To choose the respondents in the field research, the study considered the criterion of linking the interviewee to the process of modernization of the Public Administration. Thus, managers, former-managers of the main state secretariats involved with modernization of public administration, and researchers who had previously taken part in this process were selected. In the 1980s and 1990s, mergers and acquisitions have occurred in large numbers of companies and several theories have been developed to explain the phenomenon. However, most of these theories are related to the financial area. But, non-quantifiable aspects, such as core competencies and dominant logic, have been relegated to the background. Identified this gap, this paper proposes the inclusion of the concept of core competence and dominant logic as an analytical tool to validate a merger process. To do so, this article has rescued the discussion of these concepts in the business strategy field and a case that did not achieve the proposed goals with the merger was examined from this perspective. The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is afterwards characterized, like an evolution of MRP System (Material Requirement Planning) and the necessity of companies improve the control of yours operations and decision-making. Examples about the use of ERP like a support instrument in the process of teaching/ learning are demonstrated right away.
