Generally for the exterior domain they use numerical algorithms, for example, FETD. In this paper an alternative semianalytical method is developed. From the point of view of further practical applications this study is interesting as a base for investigating the influence of an external electromagnetic pulse on a fiber cable. The solution of the integral equation (IE) is carried out in the time domain. The method allows one to reduce the problem to solving the appropriate set of algebraic equations (SAE). We extract the singular part of the kernel in the integral equation and transform it in a way similar to that proposed in Lerer and Kalinchenko (2000) for the investigation of monochromatic wave diffraction. Equip., no.1, p.28-33, 1999) for single-mode optic fibres is proposed. Using given values of the phase and group velocities of a propagating mode, the method restores a profile of the refractive index in the cross section of the fiber. It is shown, that these values determine completely the changes of the refraction index, and, therefore, the variance of the velocity dispersion in the optical fiber. These lasers show a beautiful example of the self organization phenomena in a nonlinear optical system. Due to symmetry the breaking of some localized structures in the output laser beam can be observed. Certain structures are of interest due to their potential for information encoding and processing. Addressable soliton-like excitations might lead to new forms of all optical, massively parallel information processing. In this present paper, as a first step, we introduce a general definition of vector topological defects by an analogy with the topological solitons in ferromagnets. To describe the complex polarization pattern we use only one complex function w(z), which is the homographic function connected with the Stokes parameter of the field.
