These benefits are categorised into three parts: health benefits, environmental benefits and economic benefits. The new era of modernisation required the sustainable growth of mankind as the advancement in all aspects of human life has serious drawbacks. In terms of agriculture and allies, organic farming is considered more friendly to human life and the universe. So, this study has been related to agriculture as the farmers who are engaging in organic farming–related activities are included in this study. The data were collected with a semi-structured questionnaire, and convenience and snowball sampling were used for data collection. A total of 250 farmers were included in this study. Statistical tools such as frequency, percentage, t-test and one-way ANOVA were employed for data analysis. The results revealed that certified, educated and experienced farmers have high agreement towards the benefits of organic farming. So, the concerned authorities should motivate educated farmers to adopt organic farming and ensure the certification of their products.","PeriodicalId":300975,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116883756","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This industry’s main characteristics reveal frequent purchases by consumers, high inventory turnover and a short shelf life. The FMCG industry is the fourth-largest sector in the Indian economy. This study is aimed at understanding the capital structure financing and investigating the relationship between the capital structure determinants and financial leverage of NIFTY FMCG companies from the year 2000 to 2018, prior to the COVID-19 breakdown health emergency. It has been stated in the World Bank report for 2019 that India is the seventh largest consumer market in the world, which includes elements like private consumption, investments and exports, thus encouraging the study of the capital structure of FMCG companies to be conducted. It is postulated that the capital structure determinants are profitability, growth opportunity, size, risk, non-debt tax shield, liquidity and asset structure. It is believed that liquidity is expected to play an important role as a capital structure determinant. Thus, an approach is developed to investigate the impact of capital structure determinants on the debt ratio of FMCG firms in the light of capital structure theories.","PeriodicalId":300975,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130103236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It explores national health programs, statistical assessments of health insurance in rural populations, and responses to rural communities' attitudes and behaviors towards health insurance. Access to quality healthcare is a basic human right, but rural residents face increasing challenges due to rising healthcare costs. Health insurance can help address these issues. However, awareness, perception, and behavior related to health insurance are still limited among rural residents. Barriers such as high delivery costs and lack of awareness hinder insurance adoption in rural areas. Education on the importance of health insurance and providing financial stability for major illnesses and hospitalization are crucial. This study aims to evaluate rural residents' perceptions, actions, and willingness to sign up for and pay for health insurance, alongside analyzing national health programs and schemes.","PeriodicalId":300975,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120943406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using a quantitative approach with a sample size of 441 urban residents of Bangladesh, the study utilized Structural Equation Modeling technique for data analysis. The findings revealed that purchase intention of green products is dependent on attitude towards brand, perceived behavioral control, environmental concern, and digital communication. Notably, digital communication was found to have both active and passive influences on attitude towards brand and subjective norms, while environmental concern had a passive influence on attitude towards brand and perceived behavioral control. The study concludes that digital communication is the strongest predictor of purchase intention, whereas subject norm was found statistically insignificant in generating purchase intention of green products. This study contributes to the literature by providing evidence of the usefulness of digital communication in establishing a favorable purchase intention of green products and proposes a novel approach for understanding consumer green purchases.","PeriodicalId":300975,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124687890","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It helps explore the link between academics and the world of work, as most of the students joining business schools in India have no or relatively very low work experience. The purpose of the present study was to validate and explore factors that affect the summer internship experience of business school students in India. In this study, the scale for measuring student satisfaction was validated based on four factors: (a) learning experiences during the internship, (b) the effectiveness of the pre-placement activities for the internship, (c) the support offered by the placement team and (d) the support offered by the employing organisation during the industrial internship in the Indian context. A survey was administered to 235 business students in Mumbai. In the context of the present study, the student internship scale was first validated keeping in mind Indian ethos using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Furthermore, structural equation modelling (SEM) using analysis of moment structure (AMOS) was used to test the model. Multigroup structural equation modelling (MSEM) was conducted to check the impact of gender on the overall scale. The study confirms that factors like student learning experiences, pre-placement activities, and assistance provided by the placement team and support from the employer organisation (EO) are important to understand a student’s overall perception on internship. This is the first study in India that can guide both educational institutions and EOs to enhance the internship experience of the management students.","PeriodicalId":300975,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127398840","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An event study analysis was conducted over a 21-daywindow period, including 10 days prior to, 10 days after and the day of the event. The results showed that the majority of average abnormal returns and cumulative average abnormal returns were statistically significant during the observation period, particularly in the post-event period. This indicates that the Hindenburg Research report had a significant impact on the stock prices of Adani Group companies. The findings suggest that the Indian stock market may not be efficient in its semi-strong form. Nonetheless, it was also noticed that the stock prices did not immediately respond to the information in the report. This study has significance for investors, firms, policymakers, and regulators as they can utilize it to evaluate such announcement effect on stock prices in the Indian stock market.","PeriodicalId":300975,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128371276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present study is based on companies listed on NSE-200 Index. The final sample includes 126 companies for the period of ranging from F.Y. 2012–2013 to 2018–2019. The data of variables are collected from annual reports of the sample companies. In the analysis part, the descriptive statistics are used to check the level of human resource disclosures. After that, Pearson’s correlation matrix is applied for checking the correlation between board variables and HRDI. At last, to check the effect of board structure on HRDI, the one-way least square dummy variable (LSDV) regression model is applied. The outcomes of descriptive statistics show that the mean percentage of HRDI is 43.86. It lies on moderate side. Further, the outcomes of one-way LSDV regression model show that there is significant positive effect of board size, board meeting and audit committee on HRDI. In contrast, there is insignificant but positive effect of board independence, CEO duality on the level of human resource disclosure of the sample companies. Overall, it can be said that the human resource disclosure practice of the Indian companies is fairly good.","PeriodicalId":300975,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115491071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ESG risk score is collected for 2021–2022 from Yahoo Finance, and financial data were collected from Prowess IQ. The Nifty 100 index of NSE is used as a platform to shortlist firms. Tobin’s Q, return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE) are used as proxy for the firm performance which determines the market-based, operating and financial performance, respectively. We found a significant difference among the ESG risk scores, ESG risk scores of different industries. There is a low correlation between ESG scores, environment scores, social scores, governance scores and Tobin’s Q, ROA and ROE. The regression results show that the ESG risk score has an insignificant negative impact on Tobin’s Q (market-based performance) and the environmental risk scores, social risk scores and governance risk scores have an insignificant positive impact on the Tobin’s Q. ESG risk score has an insignificant negative impact on ROA (operating performance) and ROE (financing performance) while the environment risk scores, social risk scores and governance risk scores have an insignificant positive effect on ROA and ROE. Thus, ESG risk score and its components do not show any significant impact on firm performance.","PeriodicalId":300975,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124566622","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More specifically, the relationship between performance appraisal, employee compensation, career planning and training and development influences employee outcomes––job satisfaction and performance. A conceptual model is developed and tested. Data was collected using structured instruments from 540 employees of state-owned transportation in southern India. Hierarchical regression results reveal that job satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between employee compensation, career planning, training and development and performance. However, the findings support the full mediation of job satisfaction in the relationship between performance appraisal and performance. Further, the study also supports the hypotheses that (a) training and development is a moderator in the relationship between performance appraisal and job satisfaction and between career planning and job satisfaction, and (b) employee compensation is a moderator in the relationship between job satisfaction and performance. Finally, implications for the literature on HRM are discussed.","PeriodicalId":300975,"journal":{"name":"Asia-Pacific Journal of Management Research and Innovation","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134560734","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
