Loss in production at the initial stageis observed until the water level reaches desired level. Pharmaceuticalindustries can however earn more profit if they could maintainprecise water level control at the initial stage of production. To synchronizethe water level precisely having best performance parameters,this work introduces Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and GreyWolf Optimization (GWO). By determining the mathematical model,the method for water proportion (level) control in the bridged tanksfor the MIMO system may be accomplished. The prior step for systemidentification is by observing the open-loop response of the system.This can be processed by analyzing the actual parameters of the coupledtank. State-space analysis of coupled tanks is explained in detailalong with its conversion into transfer function. In this paper, theinherent parameters required for the calculation are discussed. MATLABis used as the platform for observing the responses. Observationsfrom the PID controller articulate that, there is a need for a better controllerto enhance the performance. Performance analysis along withits discussion is conferred in this paper.","PeriodicalId":30032,"journal":{"name":"CLEI Electronic Journal","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136060787","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Management of the cattle fattening process is a fundamental procedure for cattle breeders because it allows them to make strategic decisions, such as timely treatment in case of any abnormality (e.g., weight gain in herds, in their paddocks). This article aims to present a management system for the cattle fattening process under a rotational grazing scheme, considering the health status of the animal and the pasture, which should diagnose weight loss or gain in bovines and recommend actions when is required. The diagnostic process is based on a fuzzy system that defines rules that characterize the diagnostic process to determine the current situation given an input. Furthermore, the fuzzy classifier optimizes its rules by means of genetic algorithms by modifying its membership functions, providing a more accurate system for diagnosis. On the other hand, the recommendation system is based on a classification model of pasture crops, in which the best pasture is recommended given the soil variables. We tested our proposal with experimental cases, with promising results. For the fuzzy classifier, the accuracy metrics are very good, with values of accuracy close to 100% and of Area Under the Curve close to 1. For the classification model were used several machine learning techniques, resulting in the best classifier the random forest technique, with an accuracy of 98.61%.","PeriodicalId":30032,"journal":{"name":"CLEI Electronic Journal","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136060788","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The assistant interface is web and easy to use, since inferences can be made just with the mouse. The educational experience is presented showing a correlation between the grades of the assessments in class and those made with the application web. Additionally, an algorithm proof theory for the Disjktra-Scholten system are made and the following algorithms are shown: 1) a versatile printing algorithm that allows the administrator to configure the symbols of a theory, by assigning the desired presentation with LaTeX; 2) An algorithm, based on Broda and Damas combinators, for generate monotonic or anti monotonic inferences in the Dijkstra-Scholten logic; 3) An algorithm to generate the proofs of dual theorems in Boolean Algebra theory.","PeriodicalId":30032,"journal":{"name":"CLEI Electronic Journal","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136236432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This process can be modeled as a combinatorial optimization problem where the objective is to reduce the total distance the robotic arm must travel to pick up each chip and place it in its corresponding position within the support structure. This problem is of the pick-and-place type and is NPhard. The (approximate) solution proposals of state-of-the-art methods include rulebased approaches, genetic algorithms, and reinforcement learning. In the present work, one of these methods is analyzed, which models the problem as one of binary integer programming and proposes a genetic algorithm. Based on this analysis, we proposedand evaluated other methods, including a greedy algorithm and a genetic algorithm that improve the state-of-the-art results for test cases usually used in the literature. Additionally, the results obtained from a new ILP model for this problem indicate that the genetic algorithm results are very close to the optimal values.","PeriodicalId":30032,"journal":{"name":"CLEI Electronic Journal","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136236866","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study shows the results obtained by the exploratory analysis of the semantic shifting on Spanish vocabulary using Diachronic Word Embeddings. Diachronic data consists of a 2018 Spanish corpus, before the COVID-19 outbreak, and a second corpus with documents from 2021. This paper addresses the construction of the diachronic Spanish word embeddings model, as well as the results obtained by the analysis using a non-supervised distance vector technique. The results allowed us to identify topics with the most semantic shift between those periods.","PeriodicalId":30032,"journal":{"name":"CLEI Electronic Journal","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136236420","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Trajectory data have a significant practical value, making possible the modeling of various problems such as surveillance and tracking devices, detecting anomaly trajectories, identifying illegal and adverse activity. In this study, we show a comparative analysis of the performance of two descriptors to detect anomaly trajectories. We define Wavelet and Fourier transforms as trajectory descriptors to generate characteristics and subsequently detect anomalies. The experiments emphasize performance in the description in the coefficient feature space. For that, we used unsupervised learning, specifically clustering techniques, to generate subsets and identify which are irregular. The implications of the study demonstrate that it is possible to use descriptors in trajectories for automatic anomaly detection and the use of unsupervised learning methods that automatically segment the required information. The performance and comparative analysis of our study are demonstrated through experiments and case studies considering synthetic and real data sets that leave evidence of our contribution.","PeriodicalId":30032,"journal":{"name":"CLEI Electronic Journal","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-05-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43576953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
