We firstly analyzed the current traffic flow by using release matrix at a single intersection and multi-intersection respectively. Integrated with the optimal Webster split algorithm, the optimal real-time signal timing model, which realized non-fixed cycle and non-fixed split signal control, was built to minimize total delay time of vehicles at the multi-intersection. Then, we simulate the model using on traffic flow based on Passion distribution. Our approach is built on top of the Extension table method and makes use of the native XML data support to store the additional data supplied by each tenant. Our proposed technique can be used to implement multitenancy on top of a standard relational database. This paper also describes an implementation of our approach using a real-world case study aiming at improving the communication channel of information related to drinking water quality parameters used by all stakeholders involved in the water treatment process in Ireland. A popular genre of mobile map services is travel/cuisine, which is a popular topic for bloggers as well. This study attempts to generate local cuisine hotspot maps through blog content mining. The main obstacle in doing this involves recognizing and extracting restaurants and essential restaurant information (i.e., restaurant dishes) in unstructured content. In contrast to traditional Named Entity Recognition (NER) targets, dish name is a promising target that received little attention in previous studies. This study develops methods for recognizing and extracting restaurant names and dish names from Chinese blog posts and achieves satisfactory performance. The extraction results are arranged into hotspots and presented in map views. Context would typically include user profiles, user preferences, location, time of day, and others. To design better mobile information retrieval systems that typically draw information from various sources there is a need for a better understanding of these contextual properties that have an impact of design and delivery of such information. In this paper, we derive a set of 42 context properties and classify them using a model known as TILES (Temporal, Identity, Location, Environmental and Social). These properties were derived from literature in context-related studies, context-aware applications from the mobile tourism industry and augmented with focus group study findings. The second one outlines design of eye gaze tracking system using standard web camera (instead of more expensive infra-red camera) for holiday destination selection. Even though some forecasting techniques have been applied to improve IDS in the last few years, three major gaps lie in those techniques: sensors employment, the use of just one forecasting technique and forecasts' sharing. The aim of this paper is to show a collaborative architecture of IDS with prediction approaches, covering the gaps of the current forecasting techniques. Then, the procedure of VMCs formation is divided into two phases: resource selection and resource cluster. Finally, to solve the resource selection problem, a multi-objective cooperative co-evolutionary algorithm (MOCCEA) is employed and a multi-objective optimization problem model is constructed, the model is aimed to maximize the sum of processing routes' similarity coefficient, minimize the total cost and time of transportation, and minimize the machine loading unbalance. Names are essential anchor points in text, and they are essential to link pieces of information spread in the text. Unfortunately names are ambiguous, which makes it difficult for systems to understand whether syntactically identical names are actually semantically equivalent. Disambiguation is therefore an indispensable feature for the automatic processing of texts. We introduce a novel approach to dis-ambiguate names using ontologies, natural language text patterns and a customisable ranking algorithm. Especially, in service business, which is to a high degree human-based and knowledge-driven, service job experience and information about the customer as well as the installed equipment are critical success factors to deliver high quality services efficiently. Very often this information is stored in heterogeneous back-end systems and it needs to be aggregated and retrieved on demand. It needs to be provided to customer contact centers, which deal with the first customer contacts, as well as to field service engineers, who need to be well-prepared for the service job execution.
