It particularly focuses on the formation of the libri iurium and on the changes brought by the communal institutions in the traditional patterns of notarial documentation. Through the analysis of a document relating to an agreement between Asti and Chieri, two Piedmont communal towns, we'll give a concrete example of this study approach, showing a complex set of problems that can be conceptually distinguished but that appear strictly connected in the thick contexture of the written document.","PeriodicalId":29998,"journal":{"name":"Scrineum Rivista","volume":"6 1","pages":"27-31"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"66175781","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The work here proposed aims, first of all, at conducting research into the roles played by the notaries within military organization, marking how they constantly worked together with capitani , costringitori and consiglieri of cities’ armies and saw about the regular registration of the shirkers, of the weapons, of foodstuffs sold to the troops. The second part of this paper will investigate in detail how the registrations were done: we’ll try to put in evidence the connexions between the forms and the functions of a kind of documentation surely ‘non-typical’, but that seems to represent a further, interesting point of view for observing a side until almost unknown of the so called “documentary revolution” and the topos of notarial omnipresence in Middle Ages Italy.","PeriodicalId":29998,"journal":{"name":"Scrineum Rivista","volume":"5 1","pages":"19-88"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"66175643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This can be said for Bormio as well (Sondrio - Italy), especially from the first half to the end of the thirteenth century. This edition of the thirteenth-century quaternus chartarum is particularly precious and significant. Actually it lets us better understand that period, analyzing the organization of written documents (there are transonti documents from 1237 to 1287). Research accompanying the edition reveals that the practice of recording is a clear evidence of the level of maturation reached by the municipal administration.","PeriodicalId":29998,"journal":{"name":"Scrineum Rivista","volume":"48 1","pages":"250-295"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"66175699","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

She reads it again from the point of view of the XI-XII centuries records of Piacenza; they are good examples to reconstruct the events that drove to the achievement of the imbreviaturae case. Notaries in Piacenza were susceptible to the need of giving and warranting fides to the record and they drafted alternatives solutions: each of them is sign of a different phase of the process of definition of the notary’s public role in the medieval legal system.","PeriodicalId":29998,"journal":{"name":"Scrineum Rivista","volume":"5 1","pages":"5-18"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"66175626","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Giacomo de Redere , stored in the historical archives of S. Paul’s outside the Walls Abbey. Excepted a pseudo-original, documents give evidence of several contractual typologies: we find 29 deeds of gift, 13 bills of sale, 1 security, 1 emphyteusis; furthermore, 13 exchanges of real properties, 7 restitutions of unlawfully owned properties, 1 promissio and 1 assignment of a claim. The introduction explains historical events of S. Giacomo and its archives, examining common forms of Amelia’s private deeds and comparing them with common forms used in the area of Rome and in east Umbria in the second half of XII century. Tables ( rectores and priores ; financial officers; Amelia’s bishops) and indexes (documents; names and place-names; scribes and judges) accompany the text.","PeriodicalId":29998,"journal":{"name":"Scrineum Rivista","volume":"5 1","pages":"89-249"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"66175685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper aims at pointing out the connections between the process of the definitive strengthening of Carolingian power in town and the innovations verifiable in the local literacy, which since the very first times of Aganone is characterized by a sudden and uniform adherence to the Caroline minuscule canon, so overcoming the graphic particularism and the cursive writing tendencies of the previous period. The hypothesis that Aganone's and his entourage's installation in Bergamo coincided with the formation of a graphic 'school' (or, at least, with the strong affirmation of an unitary cultural trend) seems to be confirmed by the appearance, in the subscriptions, of notae tachigraphicae and other special chancellery signs, which from bishop's curia will spread later on also among notaries and other outstanding laymen, as a distinctive mark of urban elites.","PeriodicalId":29998,"journal":{"name":"Scrineum Rivista","volume":"4 1","pages":"5-34"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2006-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.13128/SCRINEUM-12111","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"66175508","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
