Pada umumnya setiap lahan padi sawah di Indonesia hanya bisa digarap satu sampai dua kali setahun. Salah satu upaya yang dikembangkan dalam memanfaatkan waktu luang lahan yaitu dengan usaha tani mina padi. Sistem ini dapat dimanfaatkan dengan pembesaran ikan nila merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan salinitas terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan benih ikan nila merah (Oreochromis sp.). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen laboratoris, dengan teknik pengambilan data melalui observasi langsung dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini didapatkan perbedaan salinitas tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila merah. Ikan ini memiliki permintaan yang cukup tinggi sebagai ikan hias, tetapi masih relatif sedikit dibudidayakan. Keberhasilan budidaya ikan ditunjang oleh lingkungan media pemeliharaan yang ideal dan ketersediaan pakan yang kontinu. Salah satu permasalahan dalam membudidaya ikan jalai adalah sumber nutrisi yang kurang mendukung untuk pertumbuhan ikan jalai, sehingga perlu dicari pakan yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan ikan jalai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pakan yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan ikan jalai yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Budidaya Perikanan, Prodi Ilmu Perikanan, Fakultas Teknik dan Ilmu Kelautan, Universitas Hang Tuah, Surabaya pada bulan April hingga Mei 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 kali ulangan, yaitu : A Cacing tanah (Lumbricus rubellus), B Jangkrik Cliring (Gryllus mitratus), C Ulat Hongkong (Tenebrio molitor) dan C Ikan Gupi (Gambusia affinis). The expected benefits of this research are to be able to expand information about edible packaging from carrageenan flour and pumpkin flour that can be consumed and is environmentally friendly, provide information about alternatives to using composite flour, and utilize food ingredients as a solution to reduce product packaging waste from plastic. The experimental design used in this study was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) using a one-way pattern consisting of one factor with 5 levels with 5 replications (p1 = 1.7% : 0.3%, p2 = 1.3% : 0.7%, p3 = 1% : 1%, p4 = 0.7% : 1.3%, p5 = 0.3% : 1.7%). Responses in this study include chemical responses, namely gelatinization temperature, water content and starch content. Organoleptic responses are color, aroma, texture and elasticity. The physical response is the tensile strength test on the selected sample. The results showed that the comparison of edible packaging of composite carrageenan-pumpkin flour had an effect on water content and starch content. Comparison of edible packaging of carrageenan-pumpkin composite flour affects the elasticity organoleptic response. Smoked fish production capacity is also still very low and does not meet SNI standards. This research uses an experimental method by making and testing fogging equipment. The parameters measured to test the performance of this fumigation time are fumigation time to produce smoked fish quality that is in accordance with SNI standards, the amount of fuel used, fumigation temperature, fumigation chamber humidity and moisture content of smoked fish achieved, and the volume of liquid smoke produced. To find out the results of the performance test of fumigation instruments, organoleptic observations were carried out on the level of preference (preference test). The trial results show the temperature and humidity in the smoking room tend to be different between each shelf by forming a similar pattern. A closed tool design causes more uniform production and distribution of smoke. The remaining fuel produced during 3-hour combustion reaches 50% and can still be used in 5-6 hours. The water content of smoked fish (Tongkol Fish) according to SNI is 60%. Community development programs can be carried out based on local wisdom which consists of increasing community participation and development supported in the mangrove forest ecosystem. Utilization of the mangrove ecosystem for the concept of tourism (ecotourism) is in accordance with the interests of tourists ie tourists who only come to do tours without education and conservation become new tourism ie tourists who come to do tours that involve them there without education and uncertain assistance. This research was conducted with a method of tracking to coastal communities, especially mangrove forests that need restoration, including research in terms of coastal community participation. This research is a type of case study using qualitative and descriptive methods, and data analysis using SWOT. The output of this research is the increased participation of the Montok coastal community in utilizing the mangrove forest ecosystem. The results of the calculation of the value of the branches and the weighting of the internal factors of the strategy for developing and managing mangrove ecotourism in the Kusuma Talang Siring Region Tourism Awareness Group were obtained a final fact or internal score of 1.55. And the external factor is 1.6. And is in quadrant I which is growth means to improve development and management. A policy of Montok community participation policy is needed in managing the existence of effective and efficient mangrove forest ecosystems.
