Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif pendekatan sosiolinguistik untuk meneliti register teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan secara trianggulasi (gabungan), yang semua data pernyataan didalamnya dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, pengisian kuesioner. Penelitian ini membuahkan hasil penemuan yang menunjukkan relawan komunitas Kampung Dongeng Sumatera Utara mengunakan variasi bahasa ragam register, varasi campur kode,dan ragam santai. Kata kunci Abstract The people of North Sumatra have a special dialect, a certain code when speaking. When they are in other local communities, it is possible that these people do not understand several languages that are often used by the people of Medan when communicating. The development of language and various language variations are found in various situations, circles, especially in the community of Kampung Dongeng, North Sumatra. This research method was carried out using a qualitative sociolinguistic approach to examine the register of data collection techniques carried out by triangulation (combined), in which all statement data were collected through observation, interviews, and filling out questionnaires. In this study the author uses a qualitative method. The form of writing presentation is descriptive qualitative. By using this method, the research results will be described and analyzed specifically only on the assertive speech acts.
