It then describes medicine concordance and adherence, and patient involvement in decisions about medicines. Circumstances in which patients may be eligible for reduced fees or free medicines are listed. The competency framework for all prescribers is included, as well as guidance on how to write a prescription. Prescribing for special groups that may have different reactions to drugs is explained. Principles of medication reviews are outlined, followed by the governance, prescription, and administration of controlled drugs.
