Most of the existing ECG device have the disadvantage of either poor local signal processing ability or heavily rely on the signal processing ability of remote server. After thorough investigation, Android platform is adopted to develop an ECG signal processing application for real-time arrhythmia classification and HRV analysis. The ECG data acquired with a wearable ECG sensor are transmitted to the Android smart phone or tablet via BLE (Bluetooth low energy). Computing intensive signal processing tasks were implemented in C code with Android NDK (Native Development Kit) technology. The user account information and analysis results can also be transmitted to the remote server through the HTTP protocol if needed.","PeriodicalId":295859,"journal":{"name":"2015 2nd International Symposium on Future Information and Communication Technologies for Ubiquitous HealthCare (Ubi-HealthTech)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124921319","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The design of efficient routing protocol for WBAN is crucial. In this paper, based on the human body signs parameters measurement in the actual situation, the wireless body area network topology model was constructed. By the application of the classic AODV and DSDV Ad Hoc routing protocols on this model, the end-to-end delay, packet loss rate and throughput performance indicators were analyzed and compared under different transmission rate and packet size. The simulation results show that the on-demand routing protocol AODV is more suitable for the data transmission under the environment of human body.","PeriodicalId":295859,"journal":{"name":"2015 2nd International Symposium on Future Information and Communication Technologies for Ubiquitous HealthCare (Ubi-HealthTech)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116620664","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, we propose an architecture of Emergency Medical Networks in this paper. The objective of this study is to achieve the optimality of heterogeneous sensor nodes assignment in this network. To obtain the needed coverage, network designers initially need to determine how many sensor nodes should be deployed in the disaster area. In consideration of finite energy and sensing ranges in both sensors nodes and sink nodes, we apply the coverage process theory into the assignment of wireless sensor networks to improve the coverage ratio during a given time period. Further, the simulation data show that the reasonable assignment could get the precise estimation of the coverage ratio, which reflects the validity of this assignment. The optimality design provides helpful configuration guidelines for the practical Emergency Medical Networks deployment.","PeriodicalId":295859,"journal":{"name":"2015 2nd International Symposium on Future Information and Communication Technologies for Ubiquitous HealthCare (Ubi-HealthTech)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129160602","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This device provides a useful system for people to measure their daily blood pressure and achieve early diagnosis of hypertension. The pressure signal is collected by the pressure sensor and processed by filter circuit. Pulse wave of body contains a lot of healthy information, so the quality of the pulse wave determines the authenticity of the results. In the process of the actual measurement, pulse wave will be interfered by lots of unwanted signals. Common interference signals include 50Hz power frequency signal, noisy signal from muscles jitter and baseline drift. Therefore, we design a suitable double filter system and get a better signal after filtering. In addition, this design includes a ZigBee wireless transmission module, in order to send Blood Pressure (BP) data to the information system in real time.","PeriodicalId":295859,"journal":{"name":"2015 2nd International Symposium on Future Information and Communication Technologies for Ubiquitous HealthCare (Ubi-HealthTech)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124671933","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through the forwarding of sensing data from person to person until reaching a connected medical server, concrete U-health becomes true with the emerging of future Body-to-Body Networks. Indeed, the coexistence of multiple WBANs (Wireless Body Area Networks), the communication and interactions between them extend the classical concept of WBAN and present the new paradigm referred to as Body-to-Body Network (BBN). This paradigm supports a number of innovative applications such as U-health, entertainment, interactive gaming and military, to cite a few. In this paper, we present a survey of BBNs focusing on three principal axes: energy efficiency, mobility prediction, and quality of service (QoS). Then, we present and discuss different candidate protocols that can be used in BBNs, while illustrating main BBN design challenges and several open issues.","PeriodicalId":295859,"journal":{"name":"2015 2nd International Symposium on Future Information and Communication Technologies for Ubiquitous HealthCare (Ubi-HealthTech)","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127727611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the same time, rates of disability are increasing due to population ageing and increases in chronic health conditions. These bring great challenge to elderly and disabled care in the whole society, since their physiological and pathological characteristics always bring them many inconveniences. In order to better serve the disabled and elderly people and provide them timely care in some public places, it is important to be aware of the location of them. At present, this has been a key focus that includes determining their physical location accurately and turning coordinates into meaningful information. This paper provides a sensor fusion-based infrastructure independent and agile real-time indoor positioning technology which can be used in monitoring the exact three-dimensional indoor location of the elderly and disabled people. It takes advantage of the built-in sensors in the wearable devices to analyze human movement and combine the map information to improve the location accuracy. The most prominent feature of method is that it requires no training or extra infrastructure. The experimental results show that the algorithm obtains high localization precision and preferable robustness.","PeriodicalId":295859,"journal":{"name":"2015 2nd International Symposium on Future Information and Communication Technologies for Ubiquitous HealthCare (Ubi-HealthTech)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131697406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So it becomes very urgent to compress the data and reduce communication expenditure. The authors plan to use the technology of Overlapped Time Division Multiplexing(OVTDM) and Compressive Sensing(CS) jointly to carry out further research on life status Data of WSN, which overthrows traditional Nyquist criterion respectively. Under the precondition of source encoding and channel encoding, the research idea is to use CS to reduce the amount of data procession sharply, and to combine OVTDM to improve the encoding efficiency and spectrum efficiency significantly. The specific approach is to build a typical data decoding system model of WSN, and to research bit error rate and signal to noise ratio of data encoding under different fading channel using the different procession methods, which aims at assessing the research effect of data encoding improvement in WSN. The project will not only break through the theory bottleneck of the existing technology, but also has important significance for clarifying the mechanism of transmission and encoding of life status data in WSN, revealing the research law of basic theory, and expanding the engineering application fields of this technology.","PeriodicalId":295859,"journal":{"name":"2015 2nd International Symposium on Future Information and Communication Technologies for Ubiquitous HealthCare (Ubi-HealthTech)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132927892","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For solving this problem, we developed WE-CARE system. The use of 7 lead wires helps collecting sufficient ECG data to guarantee the detection accuracy without impairing the mobility of the system 910. While the traditional algorithms face efficiency challenges for the large data, complicated algoirthm and small capacity of wearable devices. In this paper, we propose a brand new ECG online analyzing algorithm to solve the efficiency problem, called the FEED (Fast Emergency ECG Detection) algorithm. Firstly, FEED algorithm will proeprocess the raw ECG data and do basic feature extramction for it. Secondly, it conducts abnormal signal calissification with the data uploads it to servers for deep analysis. Thirdly, it retrains the classifier and updates parameters for it. Through this kind of design, FEED can achieve high efficiency. The FEED solution is embedded organically in all three layers of the WE-CARE system to alleviate the critical '3V' challenges - variability, volatility and value. Therefore, FEED can fully optimize the performance for WE-CARE system.","PeriodicalId":295859,"journal":{"name":"2015 2nd International Symposium on Future Information and Communication Technologies for Ubiquitous HealthCare (Ubi-HealthTech)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128217112","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
