Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu bagaimana perubahan yang ada pada kedisiplinan diri siswa dalam belajar matematika melalui pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan menjelaskan bagaimana penerapan pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan PBL yang dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan diri siswa. Siswa yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 24 siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di Kecamatan Selomerto, Wonosobo dan dipilih secara acak ( purposive random sampling ) dari 3 kelas di level yang sama. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket kedisiplinan diri siswa, lembar observasi pembelajaran, dan pedoman wawancara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan pada semester pertama tahun 2014. Keberhasilan pada pembelajaran ini ditentukan dengan menggunakan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan sebagai indikator keberhasilan. Topik pembelajaran yang menjadi fokus dari penelitian ini adalah Teorema Pythagoras. Data yang diperoleh dari proses pengambilan data akan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif.
