The results of determining the influence of the preparation quality of a metal surface on resistance of the epoxy-sand coating to aggressive media are presented. It is shown that the quality of the filler preparation does not affect the coating resistance to aggressive media. Materials based on epoxy binders, the curing of which takes place at elevated temperature, were used as objects of the investigation. To compare manufacturability of various molding processes, composites based on dispersed fillers and thermoplastic matrices are also considered.
