In large scale distributed and heterogeneous software systems, metadata is considered as one of the most important components for the architecture and construction of information systems. Metadata is utilized to improve communication between heterogeneous information systems – for the purposes of obtaining and providing information, for communication between user client workstations and information servers, and for electronic business between information systems. Metadata management is much challenging and is a hot topic for research at present. In this paper, we review work that deals with effective indexed data for mobile service management metadata in three different points of view. Firstly, we survey some proposals about applying model management to classical metadata problems. Then we inspect how metadata can help managing multimedia data. Finally, we review some mobile service specific metadata management issues. We survey approaches that are of foundational nature as well as those that are application-oriented. We believe that combining both foundational and practical aspects is important to achieve the goal of managing metadata with the same ease as, for example, database management systems have achieved in the management of classical relational data.","PeriodicalId":291627,"journal":{"name":"Texas Place Names","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130482631","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By varying clumps’ size, density, position, and velocity, we cover a range of parameter space motivated by observations of objects such as the Herbig–Haro object HH 34. We here extend the results presented in Yirak et al., including how analysis of individual observations may lead to spurious sinusoidal variation whose parameters vary widely over time, owing chiefly to interactions between clumps. The goodness of fits, while poor in all simulations, are best when clump–clump collisions are minimal. Our results indicate that a large velocity dispersion leads to a clump–clump collision-dominated flow which disrupts the jet beam. Finally, we present synthetic emission images of Hα and [S ii] and note an excess of [S ii] emission along the jet length as compared to observations. This suggests that observed beams undergo earlier processing, if they are present at all.","PeriodicalId":291627,"journal":{"name":"Texas Place Names","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124863932","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For prerequisites on Lie superalgebras seeAppendix 0 andAppendix1, which are mainly borrowed from Leites’s book [L3]. A draft of this paper was put on the net (math.RT/9 810113) “earlier and independently”, as Cheng and Wang referred to it in their papers [CW1; CW2], where they elucidate some of the results given here and also give an interpretation of a formula for projective symmetric functions. Still, a further elucidation will not hurt, and I intend to return to it elsewhere. Meanwhile, recall that Howe suggested a unified approach to the first and second theorems of the classical invariant theory: compare [Wy] with [H]. This approach becomes even more unified in [LSh], where Lie superalgebras that more or less implicitly linger in the background of [H] become the main characters. In this and a subsequent paper I consider analogs of these theorems for “classical” Lie superalgebras. Related are problems on description of the centers of U(g) (cf. [LS; S1; S5]). The pioneer here was Berezin [B1; B2; B3], who somewhat differently considered, to an extent, g = gl, sl, andosp. Scheunert [Sch1; Sch2; Sch3; Sch4] has reproduced some of my results. The reader should be aware of a totally different approach to invariant theory due to Shander [Sd1; Sd2], who justly observes that for Lie superalgebras it is possible not to restrict oneself to the study of polynomial functions and makes a step in this purely super direction.","PeriodicalId":291627,"journal":{"name":"Texas Place Names","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1943-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129756637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"Q","authors":"P. Alam","doi":"10.1515/9783110580051-048","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1515/9783110580051-048","url":null,"abstract":"through. Stylistically, Fowler continues the oral, fragmentary spirit of her debut novel, The Stubborn Archivist — playing with (the lack of) punctuation, repetition, blank space (taken from Latin American tradition), poetry, instrumental musical cadence, sentences in Spanish, and in one pivotal place, a photograph from a NASA satellite, where maybe words are insufficient to communicate what happens. Entire pages are filled with a mimeograph (‘plec plec plec plec’) as the only sound in an anxious waiting. Fowler, who has talked about being hungry for a literary ethos that galvanises people to revolution, reaches for that in this Big Book of Ideas. In a world where space for protest grows meagre by the day, and journalists are imprisoned, it is difficult to imagine a way out of these bleak, cruel times. But for one scene, where activists protesting deportations block Kings Cross Station in London, with signs that read ‘No human is illegal’ and ‘YOU SHUT OUR BORDERS WE SHUT YOURS’, when my heart rose without warning, like a helium balloon cut loose (). A heart-stoppingly affecting section of the novel is a long, numbered list in which we finally meet Laura, the famous revolutionary – and Catarina’s aunt – whose story of seeming suicide has reverberated through the family. Time bends in on itself here, a spiral, not a line. A character writes, ‘I still think of London. Come with me’ (). Much later, a different (possibly related) character fulfils part of this longing. The reader is left guessing. Unlike in Armfield’s novel, which takes place mostly insideMiri’s head, the action here is narrated from a bird’s eye.We glean interiority by listening to characters dancing, video-calling their families, demonstrating, and driving into the night. Fowler describes commuters swaying in the tube ‘clutching each other without touching each other, the legs of their black work trousers and the sleeves of their overwarm coats leaning right and left against each other’ (). Through Fowler’s prose, you smell smoke in the nightclub, feel sticky dance floors on your feet, feel a character’s malaise as if it were your own. Really, this is a novel that asks what does it mean to love a people – whoever your people are – countrymen, queers, disabled people, friends, everyone you ideologically care for (as Aracelis Girmay writes in her poem ‘You Are Who I Love’). It asks what you will do to make an expansive world that cares for them, real. Armfield’s Our Wives Under the Sea and Fowler’s there are more things are two sparkling additions to the queer British canon. Both novels show lesbian writing as urgent, multilingual (translating neither gaze nor language, eschewing the ‘literature as empathy-exercise’ trope beautifully deconstructed by Namwali Serpell in her essay ‘The Banality of Empathy’), and monstrous. If the former is a claustrophobic ship trapped in a storm, the latter is a sprawling, many-windowed villa in Olinda by-way-of-London. I love that both these","PeriodicalId":291627,"journal":{"name":"Texas Place Names","volume":"384 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1902-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126035550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was pumped by a microwave field (power few mW) and produced 3 harmonic radiation (frequency near 300 GHz). The nonlinearity of the active superlattice was due to Bragg reflections of conduction electrons at the superlattice planes. A theory of the nonlinearity indicates that parametric oscillation should be possible up to frequencies above 10 THz. The active superlattice may be the object of further studies of predicted extraordinary nonlinearities for THz fields.","PeriodicalId":291627,"journal":{"name":"Texas Place Names","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1896-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131581408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
