Such a provisioning sytem calls for efficient scheduling mechanisms for allocation and de-allocation of resources. A good scheduling mechanism should satisfy the QoS requirements of the user and at the same time make an efficent utilization of resources. Scheduling algorithms which are application-centric tend to optimize the performance of each individual application whereas those that are resource-centric tend to optimize the performance of each resource. Hence there exists a need for a good scheduling algorithm that optimizes both these factors. This paper proposes a bi-ojective Genetic Algorithm based scheduler for cloud that optimizes the makespan (application-centric) and average processor utilization (resource-centric).","PeriodicalId":290499,"journal":{"name":"2013 4th International Conference on Computer and Communication Technology (ICCCT)","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131259697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Software managers can make timely decisions, such as effort investment and allocation of resources by predicting the bug number of a software system accurately. The objective of this paper is to model the bug number data per month as time series and, and analyzing the time series using Artificial Neural Network(ANN). A Nonlinear autoregressive model(NAR) with embedded delay and feedback loop is used for time series prediction of debian bug data. This paper gives a complete neural network approach to bug number prediction. A comparison of five most popular neural net Training algorithms is given in this paper. The results shows a substantial improvement in performance of LevenbergMarquardt algorithm with Bayesian Regularization than other training algorithm. The results are confirmed on bug data extracted from bug Ultimate Debian Database(UDD) which is publicly available.","PeriodicalId":290499,"journal":{"name":"2013 4th International Conference on Computer and Communication Technology (ICCCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130025095","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this, the key is not refreshed every time a frame is sent. For refreshing the key entities explicitly perform a 4-way handshake to evaluate PTK. 4-way handshake also ensures that involved entities have the same transient key (refreshed key). 4-way handshake involves computation cost. It also adds to the communication cost in the wireless environment, as data frame are utilized for this purpose. 4-way handshake in the 802.11i framework happens to be prone to DoS attacks (especially due to first message of the 4-way handshake). We propose a novel per frame key refreshing method that do away with the 4-way handshake. It does not require extra bits or extra frame for this purpose and also no change in the existing frame format is required. It uses existing key, frame sequence number along with the authentication stream generator for key refreshing.","PeriodicalId":290499,"journal":{"name":"2013 4th International Conference on Computer and Communication Technology (ICCCT)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114244031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SVMs have their roots in statistical learning theory and have gained prominence because they are more accurate and reliable even if a limited number of training samples are used. However, the task of parameter selection in SVMs is quite tedious, as they require the selection of the kernel function parameter. In order to overcome this problem, the support vector machine is trained using the particle swarm optimization technique. In the proposed approach, this classification scheme is applied to the content selected for the classification. Moreover, in order to deal with the mixed pixel problem the input image class in the spectral space is decomposed into three parts: the interior, the boundary and the exterior in fuzzy topological space (fts). This decomposition is done using a threshold value based on the optimal intercorrelation coefficient. The interior-class pixels are classified using the PSO-SVM. The boundary-class pixels that are the fuzzy ones are reclassified on the basis of the connectivity theory of the fuzzy topology. The results of the experiment conducted on the remotely sensed image indicate that the proposed approach is more accurate than the existing fuzzy topology integrated support vector machine (FTSVM). Thus, it provides a better classification scheme.","PeriodicalId":290499,"journal":{"name":"2013 4th International Conference on Computer and Communication Technology (ICCCT)","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122458518","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents novel designs of content addressable memory (CAM) cells using CNTFETs. A CAM performs parallel data comparison with data storage. Binary CAM (BCAM) performs exact-match searches while Ternary CAM (TCAM) provides an added flexibility of pattern matching with the use of don't care. HSPICE simulation results are reported to show that the three memory operations of the proposed CAM cells perform correctly at 0.9 V power supply. It is also shown that the presented BCAM and TCAM cell achieves a great improvement in search delay by 84% and 75% respectively compared to CNTFET based conventional cells.","PeriodicalId":290499,"journal":{"name":"2013 4th International Conference on Computer and Communication Technology (ICCCT)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122410855","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such technique used optimal threshold method to partition the original image histogram before applying HE. This is much able to produce better result of output image than the original image by increasing the gray level difference (i.e. contrast) among object and background. The genetic algorithm determines the values of the Gaussian function parameters which further evaluates the threshold value for the partitioning of the histogram. It overcomes the drawback of HE technique because it is unable to preserve the average brightness of the image. In theory, after applying HE the average brightness shift towards the middle of the gray scale. This is the major drawback of HE.","PeriodicalId":290499,"journal":{"name":"2013 4th International Conference on Computer and Communication Technology (ICCCT)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114867929","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
