First, the daily basketball training images are collected by monocular camera and transmitted through wireless sensor network. Second, the collected images are processed by an observation and reasoning model which is based on component and graph reasoning. The basketball player’s posture is depicted by the rotation invariant features of edge field. The extracted features are used to learn a boosting classifier as the observation model. The experimental results show that the posture recognition rate can achieve more than 88% for basketball player’s action.","PeriodicalId":289800,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Inf. Syst. Model. The physiological changes caused by emotion have a great influence on the completion of sports. It cannot only fully mobilize the organism and maximize the exercise potential, but also lead to muscle stiffness, movement deformation or muscle contraction weakness. Furthermore, it can affect the completion of exercise. In order to ensure the athlete can keep the best competitive level, it is necessary to estimate the athlete’s emotion before competition. This paper adopts the pulse wave signal to implement the emotion estimation for the athletes. First, the pulse wave signals are collected by using a portable sensor via mobile computing. Then, the collected pulse wave signals are removed noises by wavelet transform. Last, the denoised pulse wave signals are represented as the features in time domain and frequency domain to input into a trained classifier for determining the current emotion status. The experimental results show that the proposed method can recognize more than 90% of the abnormal emotion.","PeriodicalId":289800,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Inf. Syst. Model. With the help of virtual reality technology, packaging customization environment can be simulated more intuitively. Thus, the workers can understand the structural layout in the packaging process, be familiar with the packaging workflow, and know how to deal with emergencies. These will effectively solve the impact of workers' misoperation on packaging quality and waste, and also avoid a series of issues caused by careless operations. This paper adopts artificial intelligence (AI) technology to simulate the packaging customization environment. The fatigue may reduce the ability to complete work. When sport fatigue occurs, the athlete's heart load continues to increase, muscles become sore, flexibility is reduced, thinking and judgment become slow, and the athlete is easily irritated. Thus, it is necessary to monitor the athlete's status during sports, such as playing basketball. Generally, the ion current in the body will change when the athlete suffers fatigue. That means the sport fatigue may cause changes in the bioelectric signals of the human body. This paper adopts bioelectric signals to analyze athlete status to prevent sport fatigue during basketball. The experiments on a basketball sport dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":289800,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Inf. Syst. Model. Accurate classification of mechanical arm faults can support to effectively eliminate mechanical arm faults. In this paper, the authors utilize a relative margin support vector machine (RMSVM) to classify and monitor the faults for mechanical arm. First, the status of mechanical arm are represented a high dimensional vector which consists of the mean, variance, correlation coefficient of the residual momentum signal in time domain, and the wavelet packet energy spectrum in frequency domain. The collected feature vectors for mechanical arm status are used to train RMSVM. A virtual prototype of mechanical arm is used to analyze the changes in the features of the residual momentum caused by fault and evaluate the RMSVM model for future mechanical arm status. The simulation results show that RMSVM can effectively detect the faults during the operation of manipulator.","PeriodicalId":289800,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Inf. Syst. Model. When using supervised learning method directly, it will cost lots of time to collect labeled samples, which is expensive. In order to solve this issue, this paper adopts an active learning model to detect network intrusion. First, massive unlabeled samples are used to establish a weighted support vector data description model. Then, the most valuable samples are used to improve the performance of network intrusion by combining with active learning, which utilizes labeled samples and unlabeled samples to extend the weighted support data description model in a semi-supervised learning method. The experimental results show that the active learning can utilize minor labeled sample to reduce the cost of manual labeling work, which is more suitable for an actual network intrusion detection environment.","PeriodicalId":289800,"journal":{"name":"Int. There are many kinds of conceptual models developed in different modeling languages, such as class diagrams and entity-relationship models. In this paper, the authors have developed a specific meta-model following the Ecore standard to define conceptual models. These domain-specific conceptual models can be automatically formalized as domain ontologies using model transformation with the technique of triple graph grammars into ontology formal descriptions in accordance with the defined Ecore meta-model of the language OWL (web ontology language). For ontology deployment, its OWL code may be generated from OWL models using model-to-code transformation guided by Xpand templates. A performance evaluation is realized using a benchmark from the university domain with very large conceptual models. Through the experiments, they validate the performance and we prove the exactness and the scalability of the automatic transformation process of conceptual models.","PeriodicalId":289800,"journal":{"name":"Int. It is crucial to develop a simple to use, granular, and adaptable knowledge representation system that could constitute the core of Semantic Web. It should be well-prepared for multilingual and multicultural settings by virtue of internationalizing the code. In this work, a model for ontology-based language-agnostic Semantic Web application architecture is offered which is independent of today’s heterogeneous encoding of language resources and provides smooth exploitation. The suggested system architecture enables a quick and meaningful search for information independent of the end user’s preferred language and cultural conventions, an easy extension of the application with new information, as well as its easy localization for new language contexts. The model’s usability is proven by a prototype application simulation in the domain of Indian biodiversity.","PeriodicalId":289800,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Inf. Syst. Model. However, problems in requirements engineering remain even though there is a vast amount of requirement elicitation and writing methods. Methods are either too specific for industry application or focus on a specific part of requirements engineering. This paper proposes a new requirement writing template, the 5W1H requirement cube. The template consists of the answers to six questions (Why, Who, When, Where, What, and How) and links business, user, and functional requirements in a hierarchy within the enterprise business architecture. The template was developed in a prominent Islamic Bank in Turkey and tested on a case study. Authors have rewritten three software requirement specification (SRS) documents with new approach and compared them, showing that new approach has more brief and well-organized documents. BOA Cube software has been developed to implement the 5W1H requirement cube approach within the organization.","PeriodicalId":289800,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Inf. Syst. Model.
