The 24 bits/pixel RGB images are used and the watermark is placed on the green channel of the RGB image. The embedding and extraction processes have been carried out using the discrete cosine transform DCT. Image normalization process has been integrated and used to improve the robustness against geometric attacks. Handwritten signature has been used as a watermark and embedded into the host image using different watermarking strengths. Comparison between the original and modified algorithm is presented. Experimental results show that the normalization process has been useful to overcome the drawbacks in the original algorithm and improve robustness against geometric attacks such as translation, rotation, and scaling.","PeriodicalId":287948,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Developments of E-Systems Engineering (DeSE)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115477724","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the huge number of posted opinions makes difficult any manual analysis. This paper proposes a new approach for gender discourse analysis based on the semantic analysis of the content of shared reviews in electronic word of mouth communities (eWOM). The paper includes a methodology for gathering online reviews as well as a statistical methodology to extract the differences between male and female in a specific category of product such as Books. Findings reveal not only the discourse references but also the different preferences of male and women, which can be interesting both for retailers and online recommendation systems.","PeriodicalId":287948,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Developments of E-Systems Engineering (DeSE)","volume":"135 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123464874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Caching performance can be improved by implementing an efficient replacement policy to be used for proper cache replacement. In mobile networks, the movement of users presents significant technical challenges to provide efficient access to the Internet, because the mobile users' locations and the network attachment point will vary in time. In this survey, various conventional replacement policies for the mobile environment proposed in literature is listed and classified based on the methodology used in eviction.","PeriodicalId":287948,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Developments of E-Systems Engineering (DeSE)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116836447","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper discusses the process undertaken in creating two simulators, one which emulates partially-sighted visual impairment and another focused on full-blindness. In order to create the simulators, extensive research was conducted surrounding the effects of partially-sightedness and blindness, highlighting existing software and games that promote awareness for visual impairments. This paper underlines the necessity of raising awareness for visual impairments and the effectiveness of applying serious games for this very goal. After developing the simulators, experiments were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of it. Findings from the experiments were analysed and documented.","PeriodicalId":287948,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Developments of E-Systems Engineering (DeSE)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122028496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The effect of optical power and bias on the performance of fabricated diodes based UV photodetectors has been investigated. ZnO was grown on p-type Si 〈100〉 substrate by vacuum thermal evaporation technique. The surface morphological and the structural properties of the thin-film were studied by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements. I-V characteristics of the Schottky barrier UV photodetector were studied and the parameters such as ideality-factor, leakage-current, rectification ratio and barrier-height were extracted from the measured data at room temperature (300K). The study revealed that the performance of the devices has a thermal stability with increasing post metal deposition annealing temperature up to 500°C. For annealing temperatures beyond this temperature the rectification quality of the device degrades drastically. The device exhibited high efficiency and high sensitivity under the reverse bias condition. For forward bias, the UV detection sensitivity decreased proportionally to the bias voltage. At lower level of UV optical power (0.05 to 0.5 mW) the Schottky barrier height and rectification ratio decreased rapidly while at higher level of optical power (5 to 10 mW) these parameters decreased gradually.","PeriodicalId":287948,"journal":{"name":"2015 International Conference on Developments of E-Systems Engineering (DeSE)","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126314496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
