Si cerca di identificare le motivazioni per la stesura delle diverse versioni per mezzo di elementi identificati sulla base dell’atteggiamento del Senato nei confronti di G. M. Filelfo e dell’analisi del contenuto delle opere e si considera la loro fortuna e i loro echi a Dubrovnik nella seconda metà del Quattrocento e oltre.","PeriodicalId":285054,"journal":{"name":"Vol. 26 (2022)","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114268336","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Borić","doi":"10.21857/y26kecln09","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21857/y26kecln09","url":null,"abstract":": Ancient methods of analysis and synthesis created in Greek philosophy transformed during the Renaissance and developed within the field of mathematics, which can also be noticed in the works of Marin Getaldić. His successful restorations and reconstructions of the missing works of Apollonius of Perga are a telling example of a transfer of the lost ancient theories widely echoed in the literature of the early modern period. Getaldić was also concerned with the focal area of the Renaissance mathematics⸺symbolic algebra. With his new methods Getaldić made a step towards the founding of a new mathematical area, analytic geometry. Equally, in the field of natural philosophy (physics), he successfully combined ancient tradition with the modern problem of method, and in his first work Promotus Archimedes used experimental and mathematical method, which is an early example of the modern approach to the study of natural sciences.","PeriodicalId":285054,"journal":{"name":"Vol. 26 (2022)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115219421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fact that the original newspaper editions have been preserved allows for the reconstruction of the censorship policy in Dubrovnik newspapers in the period 1905-1914. This analysis has enabled a novel insight into the Monarchy’s position towards the policy and writing of the local newspapers, but also a more detailed understanding of the circumstances that governed the press censorship procedure.","PeriodicalId":285054,"journal":{"name":"Vol. 26 (2022)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132334633","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"The Manuscript Misfortunes of Ilija Crijević","authors":"Irena Bratičević","doi":"10.21857/ygjwrcp5oy","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21857/ygjwrcp5oy","url":null,"abstract":": The poetry of the greatest Ragusan humanist poet, Ilija Crijević (Aelius Lampridius Cervinus, 1463-1520), has been published in print only recently. This might prompt the conclusion that there was no particular interest in his oeuvre in the past. The survival of the voluminous autographs of Crijević in the Vatican Library seems to have resulted in the scholarly neglect of the manuscript tradition of his works that developed in his native city from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century. This manuscript tradition is studied in this essay with the aim of showing that for several centuries Crijević’s works were not only copied but that the text was also critically edited. Particular attention will be devoted to the labors of Ivan Marija Matijašević (1714-1791), who pioneered the systematic research on Crijević’s texts, as well as to those of Antun Agić (1753-1830), who prepared a manuscript edition of his poetry. Once identified and connected, Agić’s scattered manuscript papers provide an invaluable guide to the history of the reception of Crijević’s texts in Dubrovnik and beyond. The essay also identifies the hitherto unknown autograph letter Crijević sent to Prince Ferdinand of Naples and establishes that the manuscript dedicated to Paolo Orsini is similarly the poet’s autograph. The result of the research underpinning the essay is the list at its end, providing the most complete account so far of the surviving manuscripts of Crijević’s works. This research has been supported by the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ), under the project number IP-2019-04-8566.","PeriodicalId":285054,"journal":{"name":"Vol. 26 (2022)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121196788","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
