The origin of the solar flare is from the sunspot associated with a solar burst. The solar burst can be break into 5 types. Long duration solar bursts have been investigated in this study. There are 15 selected dates that have been chosen from 2019 until 2020. Radio flux and sunspot numbers affiliated with long-duration solar bursts have been analyzed in this paper. As a result, the longest and the shortest solar burst that has been recorded is 535 minutes on 14/04/19 and 36 minutes on 21/03/19 respectively. The Sun is very important to be consistently observed because in rare cases, the flare is very strong and can affect the Earth’s magnetosphere.","PeriodicalId":279928,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF THE 2ND PHYSICS AND MATERIALS SCIENCE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM (PhyMaS 2.0)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123708744","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The parameter such as solar wind, interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) and Kp index play an important roles and affect the GIC level and climate change. The space weather prediction about solar radio burst and geomagnetic storm can be only possible if we know the activity of the Sun. Solar activity and geomagnetic activity were observed during the time period of both events in order to know whether solar burst associated with the GMS or not. In study we found that solar burst did not depends on GMS however it depends on solar activity meanwhile geomagnetic storm occurred when the Kp index above 5. We also found that the strength of GMS are excellently correlated with solar wind, and IMF thus it support earlier result of investigators. Furthermore, there is no confirmation about how GMS does influence the GIC level. The data of these activities, can be taken from the space weather websites. We have also discussed the various results obtained in present investigation in view recent scenario of geomagnetic storm.","PeriodicalId":279928,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF THE 2ND PHYSICS AND MATERIALS SCIENCE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM (PhyMaS 2.0)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128791941","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study of solar activities varies with few phenomena such as solar flare, prominence, filament, sunspot and coronal mass ejection (CME). By performing solar imaging, this study manages to interpret the 2D image into 3D isophote image, thus further analyzation could be done in order to learn more about solar activity. This research aimed to interpret and analyse certain solar activities that were captured using imaging camera from Telok Kemang Solar Observatory. The images were then been rendered via ImageJ software in order to get a 3D isophote image. The output image data were shown in “Spectrum LUT” and “Thermal LUT”. Few variables were changed depending on favourable output image. The manipulated variables were the “grid size”, “smoothing”, “perspective”, “lighting”, “scale” and “z-scale”. In deduction, the analysis of solar images through 3D isophote image would provide a better understanding towards the photon energy of the light’s wavelength in terms of possible temperature of the solar activity.","PeriodicalId":279928,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF THE 2ND PHYSICS AND MATERIALS SCIENCE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM (PhyMaS 2.0)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131425046","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The blend polymer was prepared with the addition of 0.1 M hydrochloric acid (HCl), and 0.1 M sodium hydroxide (NaOH). The blend compositions were cast by using the solution casting plate technique. With an increased PVA composition in the blend ration, the mechanical properties of the blend including tensile strength, strain and young modulus were improved. The FT-IR results indicated that by raising the PVA in the blend composition, the bonding structure of the blend increased as shown at the 3296 cm-1, 1639 cm-1, and 1039 cm-1 peak. The mechanical and structural properties of the blend sample improved by increasing the irradiated percentage dose rate.","PeriodicalId":279928,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF THE 2ND PHYSICS AND MATERIALS SCIENCE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM (PhyMaS 2.0)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132572887","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The nanocomposites are well built multiphase-materials of one or more dissimilar phases of dimensional between less to 100 nm range repetitively. LDH has a significant and unique shape due to its structure is quite robust with a wide range of possible composites by positively charged brucite- like sheets of hydroxides intercalated by negatively charged anion in the hydrated interlayer regions mainly found in mineral materials. The method such co-precipitation, hydrothermal, and mechanochemical are widely used from previous study for intercalation of calcium and aluminium into multilayers of LDH. The samples are prepared for characterization by using Powdered X-Ray Diffraction (PXRD). Each method shows great results, but co-precipitation is the best and one of the latest methods used for the synthesis.","PeriodicalId":279928,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF THE 2ND PHYSICS AND MATERIALS SCIENCE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM (PhyMaS 2.0)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123724169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Preparation of Al2O3:Cr3+ materials through combustion method is known as simple, cost-effective and short-time consuming approach. The types of fuel use in this method has a significant effect on the combustion products. In our research, urea, glycine and sorbitol were used as a fuel in order to study their effect on the physical, structural and photoluminescence properties of Al2O3:Cr3+ powders. These powders were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive x-ray (EDX) spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. SEM micrograph of Al2O3:Cr3+ powders using urea and sorbitol fuels show the powders obtained are highly agglomerated slab-like particles with typical thickness 2-5 µm. Meanwhile, the powder prepared using glycine fuel is observed to be agglomerated particles with tiny porous morphology. EDX results are in good agreement with the original chemical composition of the elements. Based on XRD results, all produced samples contain α-Al2O3 phase (COD-ID: 9008081) crystalline structure. However, the sample synthesized using sorbitol and glycine show the existence of additional Al2O3 phase crystalline structure which are γ-Al2O3 cubic phase (COD-ID: 1541582) and θ-Al2O3 monoclinic phase (COD-ID: 2107302). The crystallite size was estimated using Scherer’s formula and found to be 40.97, 28.94 and 31.23 nm for urea, sorbitol and glycine respectively. To acquire better comparison, another method was used to calculate crystallite size which is Williamson-Hall (W-H) plots. Crystallite size was estimated to be 82.20, 47.45 and 49.53 nm for urea, sorbitol and glycine, respectively. PL of the sample that synthesized using urea as fuel shows higher intensity compared to sorbitol and glycine as fuel. The peak at 405 nm shows higher excitation intensity compared to peak at 557 nm which are better excitation for the Al2O3:Cr3+ powders. From photoluminescence spectra, all samples show sharp emission spectra at 694 nm and sample prepared using urea produce highest emission intensity. Moreover, the samples synthesized with urea fuel showed the formation of highly crystalline Al2O3:Cr3+ powder and fully formed α-Al2O3 phase. Thus, it can be concluded that the sample produced using urea as fuel have better luminescence properties compared to other samples.","PeriodicalId":279928,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF THE 2ND PHYSICS AND MATERIALS SCIENCE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM (PhyMaS 2.0)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126331666","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
