The empirical results of this paper are as follows: the government-enterprise cooperation model does not promote enterprises to invest more funds for technological innovation, but it has a positive effect on corporate performance. The conclusion of this paper provides a new perspective and empirical evidence for us to understand the nature of government-enterprise cooperation and its impact on the entire economic market. Generally, the capital structure decisions are tied directly to the results of the organizations, thus reflecting the economic and financial performance. The correlation between the set of variables within the group of ownership structure with the group of economic and financial performance showed significant correlation with the linear combinations, when analyzed in the set of all the samples of companies and taken separately by country. However, the results did not show similar correlation to Venezuela, Colombia and Peru due to the existence of few observations. The results also portrayed a significant correlation within economic and financial performance, higher to Mexican companies, when compared with the results of other countries and among the set of the two groups of variables that highlighted the analysis by ownership structure and economic and financial performance as well.","PeriodicalId":278115,"journal":{"name":"Business and Management Studies","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133280619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Yet the basic principle that governs color effects is unclear. In this study, we fill this gap. We demonstrate that causal-reasoning considerations govern color effects. Specifically, people expect that a cause and its effect should exhibit some degree of resemblance or congruency (“like causes like”), which leads them to use the “law of similarity” heuristic. In two studies, using various products, we focused on an irrelevant aspect of the product’s color—the color of its packaging. We demonstrate that the same ad (e.g., a patch that prevents mosquito bites) was more persuasive (willingness to purchase the product – henceforth WTP, and preference) when the product’s packaging color was congruent (pinkish) with the effect promised (calm skin) than when it was not (red).We strengthen the notion that leaning on a cause-effect-similarity heuristic is very basic, by showing that individual differences in thinking style have a very small effect on moderating this tendency.In line with other studies, which shows that causal-reasoning considerations (as previous knowledge and metal causal structure) govern judgment and choice on artifacts (products), the present study demonstrates that causal-reasoning considerations govern judgment and choice concerning cause-effect similarity heuristic as well.","PeriodicalId":278115,"journal":{"name":"Business and Management Studies","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124905634","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using unique participant data collected at a tennis facility located in Brandon, Florida from November 1, 2017 to November 30, 2017, the use of structural equation modeling techniques show that participants’ perceptions are influenced by on-court amenities. Conditional regression analysis is used to confirm the findings and reflects that participant perception of the quality of clay courts is influenced by availability of shade (for breaks) and clarity of lines. After adjusting for participant skill level, the analysis finds that more skilled players are less likely to be influenced on the quality of clay courts by on-court amenities. The analyses confirm that by focusing on customer satisfaction, maintenance cost reduction can be realized.","PeriodicalId":278115,"journal":{"name":"Business and Management Studies","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134213152","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This report serves as an important complement to respective provisionsof UK Corporate Governance Code – a code which is perceived as a best practice manual for building and maintaining a good level of corporate governance and is therefore adapted by many European lawmakers and regulators. This regulation puts an enhanced emphasis on ‘corporate (compliance) culture’ as it, among others, states that: ‘Boards should devote sufficient resource to evaluating culture and consider how they report on it.’ What shall, however, be understood by this term? How can such a term be defined, measured and reported on? The aim of the presented discussion paper is to help answering those theoretical questions, as well as to propose a reliable ‘culture measurement tool’ which could be effectively used in nowadays business practice.","PeriodicalId":278115,"journal":{"name":"Business and Management Studies","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121438910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Combining with the actual application information, we use scatter diagram, contour map, etc. to make a qualitative study and find that the reason why some of the tasks are not accepted is because the enterprise failed to take the total task quotas around the task into consideration while pricing the task. Then, combined with the influencing factors of traditional pricing model and results of qualitative analyses, the optimization model of crowdsourcing platform is built. Next, we select an ending project in an app of “make money” in China as the example to evaluate the effectiveness of our model. We applied the method of computer simulation to solve the model, and we find that, under the new pricing plan, the task completion rate has been significantly improved, which proves the conclusion of our qualitative analysis and the validity of the optimal model.","PeriodicalId":278115,"journal":{"name":"Business and Management Studies","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130548193","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
