The use of cloud computing has the potential to revolutionize road safety by enabling the processing and analysis of real-time data to prevent accidents. Cloud computing offers a scalable and cost-effective platform for managing large volumes of data and supporting decision-making in real-time. In this paper, we present a systematic review of the literature on the use of cloud computing in preventing road accidents. We identify the existing approaches, their strengths and weaknesses, and propose a framework for designing a cloud-based road accident prevention system. The literature review reveals that cloud computing has been applied in various ways to prevent road accidents. These approaches include the use of machine learning algorithms to analyze data from various sources, such as cameras and sensors, to detect potential hazards and alert drivers in real-time. Other approaches include the use of predictive analytics to forecast road conditions and identify potential hazards before they occur. Cloud computing has also been used to support collaborative efforts among stakeholders, such as government agencies, private organizations, and the public, to enhance road safety.","PeriodicalId":276242,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research Studies in Computer Science and Engineering","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127919113","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Following the process of identification and collection of the data the data was pre-processed by converting all numeric attributes in the datasets into nominal values using appropriate bin intervals. Three supervised machine learning (ML) algorithms, namely: naïve Bayes (NB), C4.5 decision trees (DT) and support vector machines (SVM) were selected for the development of the stack ensemble models proposed for this study by adopting 2 ML algorithms as the base classifiers while the 3 was adopted as the meta-classifier. The 10-fold cross validation technique was adopted during the simulation of the stack ensemble models using the WEKA simulation environment after which model validation was done based on a number of performance evaluation techniques and compared. It was concluded from the results that there was no difference in performance of the stack-ensemble models which adopted SVM and NB as the meta-classifiers however the stack ensemble model that was created using the NB and SVM as base classifiers and the DT as a meta-classifier had the overall best performance. Therefore, adopting the DT as a meta classifier showed a better capability to classify the recurrence of breast cancer compare to SVM and NB classifiers.","PeriodicalId":276242,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research Studies in Computer Science and Engineering","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131706819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

E-learning has become the most acceptable mode of pedagogical instruction across the globe but its implementation may be thwarted by the reactions of the school heads and education inspectors due to its (elearning) technical nature. The study adopted pragmatism as a research philosophy informing the pursued mixed method paradigm that combined both qualitative and quantitative approaches in a triangular form. The sample of six primary schools with an average of twenty-five participants each were purposively selected. The researcher used in-depth interviews, questionnaires, document analysis, focus group discussions and observation to collect and generate the requisite data. The study found out that the Zimbabwe e-learning programme suffered poor implementation timing since the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education adopted the e-learning programme into the schools before all schools were computerised with technological infrastructural devises equipment and subject knowledge by education administrators. The government did not also in-service all its active school administrators talk less of teachers in the mainstream in I.C.T domain resulting in some administrators having no confidence in using technology to carry out an e-lesson observation. Most of the Heads of schools were techno-phobia, hence their confidence to carry out an e-lessons supervision was compromised and their administrative e-service contrived as well. Henceforth young teachers are active in implementing it while the old aged education administrators feel uncomfortable to fully engage themselves in e-learning activities. E-learning is also a unifying term used to describe the areas of the Network and the technology directions which makes it too broad and important. E-learning in this regard, as shown by the massive growth of web technology globally, is being significantly the learning technique in terms of schooling, training and development and a lot of corporate functions but the active involvement of school heads and education inspectors dwindles its effectiveness. Many developing economies are utilizing highly immersive e-learning from several education institutions that specifically increase student success but it is the implementation gap between teachers and the old aged schools administration in Goromonzi District that need to be studied. 1.2. The task performed by different ants are integrated in such a manner that overall capability of solving complex problems is enhanced. The survival related problems like opting for shortest walking path, finding and storing food are handled by ant colony without any supervision. Ants observe pheromone trails to exchange and broadcast information regarding which path to follow. The tendency of ants is to follow the shortest path in order to make more trips and deliver food to the colony. More the ants follow a particular trail, more are the chances of following ants to follow the same path. This process is termed as positive feedback loop and the probability of an ant choosing a path is proportional to the number of ants which have already passed through that particular path. The research is been carried out to simulate the natural behavior of ants to solve real world problems like TSP (Travelling salesman problem) and data mining.","PeriodicalId":276242,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research Studies in Computer Science and Engineering","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121018803","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
